I believe he got in the newsletter business straight out of college and has been at it for 40 years. No small feat!
He's the one who turned me on to Anavex so many years ago.
No, he loves the company but just knows what we know.
Tom Bishop(you may recall the name from the Q&A session) sent me a sample newsletter.
He says the company will be bought out before the share price makes it to $100.
I know we've added a few in the not to distant past.
What's your read on those recent hires?
I've been wondering if Anavex has been adding more sites as of late in an attempt to get to full enrollment before yet another company begins competing for trial participants.
Excellent point.
I agree.
I'm not sure how helpful this may turn out to be, but in this day and age it's still a nice thing to see.
Wasn't about you.
If you had used that as your trading strategy (buying when George predicted
good/great news forthcoming regarding AVXL) you'd currently be one very happy camper.
After Dr. Missling deploys the shareholders rights thing and the preferred stock thing I'll take the then decent buyout.
I'm not getting any younger.
I work for a German company and I don't recommend it.
However, if I owned a company I'd want Germans to run it.
[A bigger question might be, how will WW society deal with old people who are supposed to be dead by now.]
I pondered that a while back and decided while people living longer and healthier might pose some unique problems, sick old people offer society little.
Are there any "For hire" drug sales rep companies who'll go to and fro and extol the virtues of whatever they're told to extol?
Any thoughts on the undisclosed rare disease in our pipeline?
Like Fragile X, they seem to have have sufficient confidence to plan out to phase 3.
Excellent links.
Rett seems likely.
Could we market for Rett without those positions being filled?
"In addition, AVXL is screening for the right “kind of patients” for the 450 multinational AD trial."
I seem to remember we weren't excluding the 20%.
Definitely identifying them but not excluding them.
To prove their point?
In theory, A3-71 could help that 20% (or help all 100% itself).
But he's collecting stud fees.
I felt there was a good chance we would see high single digit share price again after the huge run up.
Now I wonder...
I'm guessing it had something to do with the "show or fill" rule.
I'm having a great day, I'm selling Feb. 19th 12.50 covered calls for net 11.75.
Good.
That might be exciting news.
Could you decipher this for me?
"So this will be something which we are also planning to present on a relatively short notice."
"acquire lifechanging wealth while simultaneously helping so many others."
Works for me as a New Years resolution.
My finger also hovered over the sell button but never descended.
My core is my core.
P.S. "All in all that has worked out well for me."
Welcome to the world of covered call writing.
Yes.
PS. Sorry for going on and on.
Peer pressure and FOMO are powerful forces.
If what you say is true, and I have no reason to doubt it, I feel bad for them too.
"Imagine some one selling 50 or 100 calls of $7.5 or $10 strike price for peanuts, before the price surge and now on the verge of losing 5,000 or 10,000 shares for an immediate loss of $$ and potential losses in the future."
For clarification sake I feel a need to interject.
Prior to the run up I bought 4400 shares so that I might sell 44 Feb.19th $5 calls. At the time the share price was in the $5.60's.
I believe when people speak of selling calls on this board they are referring to what I just described.
I don't think posters on this board are selling calls against their core positions as those shares are precious to them and as you say the out of the money option premiums are minimal.
I'm totally impressed how he accessed "free" money from various entities.
Much in the same way you might advise your college bound child(get good grades, scholarships, grants...) in an effort to minimize costs, Dr. Missling has acted for us.
They could have issued 100 millions shares at this point and I think many of us would still be here.
So he gets a hat tip from me.
I bought 52 shares in my 16 year old niece's custodial Roth IRA a while back.
I wonder what that $175 will be worth in 50 years?
I agree.
He seems emboldened after walking/talking on eggshells since the lawsuits of days gone by.
Mini aspirin, a years supply for Rett commercial sales...
I wanted to add below $10 but I think I'll add at will and without undue hesitation.
I did buy 100 shares in the high 11's on Friday so Happy Meals® for the board are on me.
I no longer believe AVXL is a risky investment.
Volatility is too high right now for me.
Bur I see a lot of money to be made in the coming months.
Surprised to see Avxl now trades weekly options.
"But also thinking ahead strategically that one day of ANAVEX 2-73 could be used as a daily mini-aspirin potentially to avoid being -- coming in near to be in a situation where you get affected by or afflicted by such a horrible disease like Alzheimer's disease."
I believe this is the first time I've heard the company mention what you've touched upon several times.
He speaks of Rett approval/revenue as it were a given(as did Dr. Randi Hagerman).
This would certainly explain why Anavex targeted Rett.
I'm guessing you'd want a grammatical error pointed out.
"There is many of those, not just Alzheimer's."
2,600,00 shares traded and TD Ameritrade calls it a "light trading day'.
At least for now we're out from under the bushel basket.
