Doc, Now that the CTAD and all it's accompanying data is in the rear view mirror, what are your thoughts on A2-73?
Interesting article on sleep.
https://www.bbc.com/worklife/article/20191122-how-to-sleep-better
I've been investing for decades, read dozens of books on the subject and have read the advice of some of the legends in the field.
This is the first time I've been told it is my responsibility to help keep a company afloat.
Anavex should consider itself lucky to have investors who will bear this responsibility.
$1.87 by 12/17/19.
I sold my recently purchased trading shares and reduced my core holdings a little on the same day as you.
But I really just reduced to a more sane level.
If falconer is right, that'll be plenty.
Wondering if Walter Kaufmann is prevented from helping with recruitment because he's running the Rett trials.
Or to put it another way, would Walter Kaufmann be more effective used differently.
I would think the undisputed Rett king could fill the trials by sheer force of will.
Brings to mind a favorite saying of mine:
ALL BUSINESSES ARE LOOSELY FUNCTIONING DISASTERS, AND SOME ARE PROFITABLE DESPITE IT.
I believe "if" is the correct thing to say.
I feel better.
And let's not forget mo' time means mo' money.
Makes you wonder about near term catalysts.
Certainly November enrollment updates won't be one.
What makes you think that?
My wife sought and received an injunction preventing me from ever obtaining a gloat licence.
And then to add insult to injury, she gloated about it.
[The company’s preference is “blarcamesine.]
No disrespect intended, but grammatically that's irrelevant.
If it's intentionally not a proper name so as not to cause confusion when the company does give it a proper name that would make sense to me.
Isn't it a proper name?
What are your numbers for the 2/3 Alzheimer's trial?
Compelling chain of logic.
"security blanket"
Pun intended?
Thanks. I guess I'll file the voucher under useful in the future but not necessarily a dot.
Hat's off to the company for leaving no stone unturned.
I get what you're saying and don't disagree in the slightest but I'm struggling to make my point.
Let's put it this way, why doesn't the FDA say "any company that takes a drug targeting a Rare Pediatric Disease all the way to phase 3 (or a double blind placebo controlled ph2 like ours) will automatically qualify for RPA designation.
Since they don't do this criteria must exist.
It's seems near unanimous on this board that the voucher is a somewhat rare and coveted thing and yet only adults (and not too damn many of them) have taken the drug.
Are the results thus far that good?
But no juveniles have completed that study either.
Or we we might very well get separate vouchers for juvenile infantile spasms, Fragile X and Angelman's .
Could someone tell me if it's likely any juvenile trial participants have finished the U.S. trial?
Wondering what prompted RPD designation.
I tell people 'I'm no genius. But I'm smart in spots, and I stay around those spots.'
. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. -Don
I'm hoping someone here with more game than me does some data crunching.
As in, at what point in the trials process were the previous RPD statuses given, what percentage were approved and average time from issuance to approval.
Agreed.
The fact they said A3-71 is next settles the debate.
[Dilution is expected for any small bio with trials. Missling has done ok with cost containment but it has come at the expense of slow enrollments and constantly missed deadlines.]
I assume you're saying there is an ideal ratio between dilution and speed forward but you didn't say what you thought it might be.
Intriguing way of looking at it.

Trying to put it in my own personal perspective.
If my mom was in the trial and getting better I would certainly tell people about it.
They would say "that's great!"
Or" my uncle has AZ, do you think he could get in that trial?"
I can't think of any of them that would say "Wow Larry, could you get me the name of the drug so I could research it for a family member or as a stock to purchase.
My wife likes to say people will only improve their lives to the point where it's tolerable.
So I think when someone is diagnosed their and/or their families focus goes immediately to "how the hell are we going to deal on a day to day basis with this new, horrible card we've been dealt".
Only the falconers of the world would mount their trusty steed and set off in search of solutions.
Add to that the fact the trial participants are a few of thousands who walk into these hospitals daily so they would be clueless who their fellows are so there is total isolation.
And I wouldn't contact a reporter.
But that's just me.
BB
To be honest I'm kind of shocked.
As a layman I just assumed that there would be at least some 24 hour monitoring of lab animals being given a drug.
Looking for side effects such as restlessness, frequent waking, frequent urination, breathing issues, sleepwalking and the like.
BB
falconer, if you would, could you tell us what the blarcasemine rodent studies concluded in regard to sleep.

[Your advice might just as well have been get another mortgage and load up more cause this one is dead cert.}
This board is excellent fodder for straw man arguments.

[The composition and method Patent covers ANAVEX 3-71 (formerly AF710B) for treating Alzheimer's disease (AD), type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance.]
Thanks.
I don't seem to remember any discussion on this board about type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance.
Seems huge.
BB
Xena, trying to find patent info for A3-71.
I looked in [Compiled: IP protection] to no avail.
Help?
BB
Isn't 21 the fastest way to results/approval?
