oil reserves are diminshing? where?
Price is a function of OPEC, trading, etc.....basically a bunch of hooey.
Frackers are gearing up, big time.
Gas price increases are manipulated.
In my neck of the woods, regular gas, at diagonally opposite corners of this one intersection (Mobil, BP) was EXACTLY 2.739 at each gas station. ZERO COMPETITION.
AND....I saw BP takeover a Sunoco station and the price went from 2.49 to 2.65 in one day.
Total BS.
Gump -
they have no fire-in-the-belly. That about sums it up.
If they had a desire and were willing to see something through, they would have found the will and fortitude to push things forward. For goodness sake, oil is at a decent price...take advantage!
Instead, they slowly dig a six-foot hole big enough for a Holloman coffin.....
Sorry for the drama.
I sincerely say, GLTA
are they Buys?
maybe swapping out for CNENF.
quite honestly, doing anything with this stock, at this point, makes no sense.
probably need to wait until just before the drilling deadline.
I'm curious to see what prompted it.
132K shares; up 156%
did someone keep hitting the ask?
certainly has piqued my interest.
gump - CNENF is up 100% today. 30k shares. maybe somebody knows something.
you never know
Hey gump,
Belated happy new year's.
There's a grim reality here and I'll see if i can spell it out...
1. I believe we're on the wrong side of the Oil Fairway.
2. all the 2D and 3D, the poring-over and analyzing and reanalyzing, bringing in outside experts - what happens? they come up with a couple of dusters....
3. HENC goes into hibernation - delists and just waits it out until the next drilling date.
4. TChauncy disappears.
AND, the most damning event (ignored by everyone here)....
5. Claren goes to Romania and commits assets there instead of concentrating on the Aussie PELs. Some will argue that Claren was looking to diversify --- phoooey! I'm calling a spade a spade.
All these add up to a couple of barren PELs.
also....just looked at Claren's annual report.
Says they have a 51.4997% interest in 112 and 144, and a 1.47% overriding royalty interest in those PELs.
Annual meeting will be held on Dec 22
Also indicates they have a 40% interest in Bobocu, with the right to acquire up to 80%.
Will be spinning off Terra Nova from Claren to separate Australian assets from Romanian.
At least these guys are doing something..............
Numbers have meaning, events have meaning, and transactions have meaning.
WTF does the following mean?
Volume on Sept 13 = 192,700
Volume on Nov 17 = 92,700
Volume on Dec 12 = 192,700
There is no coincidence.....
Just thought I'd spice things up with a bit of conspiracy theory.
now I see that Claren wants to spin off the Aussie assets and create 2 companies - European and Aussie. Not sure what the "real" strategy is behind that.
Meanwhile, back at the Cooper......I have to believe that we are on the wrong side of the oil fairway (been saying this way too long) Too many years have gone by, and if you look West-northwest of our PELs you don't see any activity.
Another I-have-to-believe...is.....when we had that vaunted oil analysis company pore through the data, burn the midnight oil and sweat their cajones to come up with targeted drill sites....and only came up with WATER. I'd rather have a monkey with a divining rod --- a heck of a lot cheaper and you can't get a worse result.
That's the end of my press release.
Hey Gump....
You are correct.
HENC's strategic decisions are based on a function of time --- beyond stupid. They roll the dice and wait until the 11th hour to drill.
Do you know of any other company that bases its entire business strategy on the date and not on economic/market conditions? When oil was 80-100+ you could do no wrong. So waiting for a deadline was not a problem.
Question.....why did Senex want to look at our 3D, and why have we not heard anything about it in over a year? Did Senex look at it and say: Nothing? Something, but we are not privvy? Did they say anything positive? Did it help in their assessment of their drilling program for 2017, etc?????
and someone is fooling around with the stock price......
yeah, that's about as timely as we're gonna get.
at least they (Claren) hint at future plans.
my dour/sour take on this is that we have better odds in Vegas; Claren will dilute you at the drop of a hat; and HENC would probably abandon the PELs if the oil-price-climate dips into the 30's- 40's again. Which it can, by the way. US frackers are probably pushing more equipment into place as we speak.
here's what I found on Claren's 2nd quarter report ended 1/31/17:
Recently, Senex drilled a discovery well on their PEL called “Hoplite-1” which is situated 2.5km from the
Maverick prospect within PEL 444. Depending on the well results, the Company may do additional
exploration work on PEL 444.
There is no one year work commitment under PEL 444 and the license expires on January 11, 2021. The
minimum one year work commitment under PEL 112 is to carry out geological and geophysical studies and
the license term expires on January 10, 2019. The Company plan
per my post #9711....got a ways to go........

Expiry for PEL 444 is Jan 11, 2021
HENC's onwership % is 48.5003
From Senex's report:
Seismic surveys
Processing of the Liberator 3D seismic survey (ex-PEL 111: Senex 60% and operator) was completed during the
quarter. This survey covers an unmapped northern section of the western flank which has been merged with
Senex’s existing 3D seismic data on the western flank. Interpretation of the Liberator survey will assist Senex to
delineate the Birkhead and Namur fairways on the western flank, with the immediate focus on progressing near
field exploration and development targets on the Marauder field for drilling later in FY18.
Is 111 near 444? I think it might be.

Highflier -
very frustrating when no one answers.....especially the former resident rah-rah, pom-pom wavers who flew the coop.
my take.....
HENC is in deep hibernation mode and doesn't give a cr#p about anyone. They just want to wait until the 11th hour when they must drill....one....well. In a way, I don't blame them. Their heart is obviously not in it. They've committed significant funds over the years and probably have mixed feelings about prolonging the agony or abandoning completely.
They're just going through the motions; drilled 3 dusters -- could have had a monkey throw a dart instead of paying good money to dowsing rod outfits.
I keep forgetting, but we might have to wait until 2019 for them to find a partner and drill.
I hope yours and our investments ( I shudder when I call this an investment) pay off.
GLTA
OT.....took the money and ran.
got out of OPTT at 2.40
gotta get lucky sometimes.
OPTT had waaaaaay too much volume without any news, so it scared me out.
Thank goodness.
OT....at least my OPTT is going nuts today
yeah.... a lot of shared pain over this one trick pony
I hear ya.....
josey....also, don't you find it odd that someone who professes to know everything, in touch with insiders, etc.......did not know anything about the website being down, nor if HENC had any plans to upgrade it etc.?
that's beyond fishy.
I've heard a lot of things, but I don't go around posting unsubstantiated info.
Senex has enuff properties to keep them busy for eons, and in the oil fairway, not on the fringes - which is where we are.
genstock is also the one who touted that there was a massive short position in this stock.
word to everyone.......open your eyes; believe it when it happens.
also, the recent "teaser" volume, along with the abandonment of the website, has me thinking that someone is trying to get out above a penny.
I think this absolutely smells putrid.
people should open their eyes and be outraged.
btw, i'm not a subscriber to Investor hub, so I can't communicate privately

Well........this is pretty alarming!!!!
Why has the holloman energy website expired?!?!?!
that deserves a wtf!!

Yes, and sadly, this tells it all (unless someone has something to the contrary):
Drilling requirements:
PEL 112: Drill one well - January 10, 2019
PEL 444: Drill one well - January 11, 2021
I'd like to qualify the above by saying: "Un-Freakin' Believeable"
Anyone who puts a positive spin on this is delusional.

HENC's onwership % is 48.5003
careful about misinformation.....
I believe it's 2019
this stock moves more now than when it's about to spud....go figure
330k on 8/14, and 180k today...
curious who that might be?
they know how to find water......maybe in a thousand years that water could prove to be our holy grail.
This is an utter waste of time unless the world's oil supply dries up.
and as supply goes down, price goes up, shale oilers drill and extract....then price goes down again. Rinse and repeat.
I'm not being doom and gloom - this is actually our reality.
Take a look at some of the other oilers in Australia - Beach, Santos....look at the number of leases they have, actual production, etc. and then look at their stock price, if you dare.
2018 will come, HENC will drill ONE well......and very likely will find that precious H2O.
I've said it many times (not that I know a darned thing), we are probably on the wrong side of the oil fairway.
tchauncy sighting......hibernation must be over.
can't argue with you on that. We've been totally abandoned by mgmt and the pumpers.
Maybe the "oil fairway" runs southeast of our PELs, and the only blips that come up are water deposits....
are we headed for the dumpster?
better off not looking at this and let it settle into the lower reaches of Hades.
oh well.
hey gump, good to see you.
wish I had a differing viewpoint, or at least some info that would mitigate this awful mess...
I think we're on the wrong side of the oil fairway, otherwise, all the other drillers would have been humming on our side. we use these "pros" to analyze and re-analyze the 3D....what hogwash! They can't tell oil from water for goodness sake! just have a monkey throw a dart at a map. do these 3D pros have skin in the game? maybe that would keep them honest.
you're right, and I've been saying this for years...mgmt will wait till the 11th hour to drill...period. Nothing to do with world economics, just a date on a calendar.
Senex just raised $36 Million.
Looking at Senex's map, they abandonded Sparta-1 - too little commercial pay; but Hoplite-1 shows gross pay of 17 meters (I believe that Hoplite is closer to the oil fairway near our southern border than Sparta....could that mean there is more oil north/northwest of Sparta???
i wonder what tchauncy is up to......just thinking out loud
very odd.
something to do with Senex's results?
insider stuff?
