I'm trying to remember if I've ever whined to you about Bush.
Chappaquidick happened thirty years ago. Politics was different then. If it happened these days, Ted Kennedy's career would be over. I hate what he did (or didn't do, but that doesn't wipe out a thirty year history of hard work in the Senate.
Ashcroft as an outstanding AG? Cough.
OK, let me ask you this (because it's something I'm wrestling with right now):
Given that the TIPS program may violate some citizens' civil rights, does this alone make it wrong? What I mean is this, we're in terrorist gunsights (so to speak),so is this an appropriate time to tread on those boundaries? And, if so, which rights are sacrosanct, which can be jiggled a bit?
Try SI now. I just got back in.
and your velvet glove may be necessary right about now.
I'm disgusted by the Chappaquidick incident, believe me. But I still think Kennedy has been a fine senator.
Hi marcos, and thanks.
I'll head over there, but I've lost my crystal ball.
I've been getting dns errors for at least a half hour when trying SI.
Oops. Ignore my last question.
What do you mean TIPS is too late?
You don't think it would be effective?
You think it will violate civil rights?
Ugh.
That was a fiasco and awful, repulsive incident.
Is SI acting up for you? I can't get on.
Thank you for your thoughtful response, greg.
I, too, am concerned about the program, more for redundancy's sake and the fear thatpeople will be making reports based on personal grudgesmor tangential information. I think you make a very good point about the fine balance in vigilance.
ROFL!
That was perfect.
I'm wondering if people here have formed opinions on the new TIPS program being suggested by the government. Apparently the Postal Service is refusing to participate.

Hi Matt,
I'm back and refamiliarizing myself with the threads. Things are livelier and less contentious here now. Great work.
And AKvetch's jokes on the joke thread are really wonderful.
A half million taglines? What an enormous undertaking.
I hope that message board posting system integrates it. I'd love to see. I adore wordplay....as you well know.
Now that is absolutely fantastic!
You made my day.
(I live a small life. -g)
I'll be interested in the explanation. I'm betting it's got to do with building materials, siting, and window placement.
LOL.
Oh brother, some of those are actually familiar.
Those are great. I'm going to send them to a fellow poet and wordplay enthusiast.
Oh my gosh!
OK, I now know I've got no right to complain publicly. I'll bet you have central air, though. We Yankees don't believe in it, so we end up suffering two months a year.
LOL!
Excellent.
That's the way to do it.
Well, Koikaze my friend. How the heck are you?
I took a sabbatical from posting, got some good writing done. Alexed told me that Bob is planning to install a message filter, so I thought I'd dip my toe back here again.
Let me know how things are going?
Dying in the humidity here....
What a kind thing to say, Sara. Thanks so much.
It looks like some options traders have settled in at the OBOX and I'll be around to throw my two cents in if anyone wants it. Though I know BOP has considerable options knowledge as well.
I hope all is well with you.
Can you just post the punch line?
I'm not sure many readers' hearts can take the repost.
I thought it was a screamer because it's every man's fantasy.
And I'm dying to hear the punchline.
Hi Steve,
I write poetry full time, am doing a lot of studying at this point.
I'm delighted you've settled here! Don't let me stop the flow of options talk, please.
Hi Bob,
I'm writing poetry and prose poems, hoping to have enough for a first volume in a year or so. It's more fun (for me, anyway!) than trading this market.
Now that's a joke.
LOL!
Hi Steve,
I'm no longer trading, but I'll be happy to watch you all. I see SEBL missed earnings afterhours.
Hi Slippy.
Me too.
Hi MM. You still trading?
That's so kind of you, Bob. Thanks.
I'm not trading anymore, writing full time instead. But it looks as though there's more activity on IHub and I really am pleased to see that you all have been meeting here for options talk. I'll be around and will be happy to try and help people with questions, though it looks as though you all are doing well.
Hey there!
Long time no see. How have you settled in?
Yes, I'm pleased about the filter and hoping we can have some nice conversations here.
Hi starklef,
It's great to see you posting. BOP has a nice nest here and I'll be returning. Please let me know how you're doing. I've been thinking about you. And did you ever find that poem you were looking for?
Hi BOP,
I'm thrilled to hear that news about the filter. And about how things are going. I'll be here more regularly now and will stop by and chat. I see your mom posted. Must talk to her.
Hi Muell,
Sure, I'll start checking in regularly and would be pleased to help in any way I can.
Bozos on SI?
Never! -g
Here's something funny: a SatireWire piece on Martha Stewart.

Hi Alexed,
These quotes are wonderful, as always. I'm here to check out how things are going on IHub. looks like there's much more activity on the site and a I recognize a lot more familiar names from SI. Is it true they're going to be instituting an ignore feature?
Hi BOP and Muell,
I'm dropping in to check out the place again and see you've made a nest for yourself, BOP. Very nice.
I hope all's well with you.
What a delight to see this board has taken off!
Good options trading, everyone.
Hi Steve,
I check in from time to time. I trade index options (OEX and NDX), front month pretty exclusively. It's a decent income if you keep your eye on the larger market moves. Feel free to post trades and options information here.
Options are great trading vehicles, though a little tough for the average investor who knows little about technical analysis, IMO.
Hey there, E. Wierd, I was just PMing with Alexed about how things are going. He's one of the few people here I keep in touch with and he's done a great job with the thread.
Sorry for not having gotten back to you sooner. I've pretty much stayed away from SI, but found myself reading it last night. I see that Mr. H. and Mr. D. are implying that if people knew the whole story of what went on in PMs, they would understand that his unwelcome attentions to me are justifiable.
I now give my permission to post any PM (or PM's) I may have sent to him which he claims justify those posts. My privacy and that of my family will be violated, but I have done nothing to be ashamed of, so choose that instead of these insinuations.
The only conditions are that other SI members names must be crossed out and that any PMs he posts must be verifiable as accurate by SI Jeff.

You always make me smile with these little treasures, alexed. I hope you're well.
