Anyone happen to notice this on the New Age website under the Marley brand section. In that section, there is a product labeled ”RASTA BAND.” But, when you click on that label, there is nothing there....Yet..... this may well be the core brand CBD infused drink that was mentioned on the last conference call. We will learn soon enough.
Agree. Stock way out ahead of itself on the CBD craze. Let’s see if they can move the ball in 2019 with cash in hand. Would like to see some movement with the medical channel products. Time will tell.
What do you think the reaction will be when some of these potential distributors are asked to take on other NBEV products if they want to pre-order any of the new CDB product line???? This refers to the company’s presentation today in New York.
Thanks, I hear what your saying. Sold last week and will wait to see how company does moving forward
All trade
If NBEV has CBD products ready to show, do you think they could get some early sales and build some momentum in this space in Canada? They have some contracts in Canada with some large firms. Not sure if Canada allows cannibus infused products nationwide. Your thoughts.
Sorry, meant to say way overbought. If NBEV has been selling stock under its ATM, then they should have cash to pursue larger contracts with its current line of products in addition to its medical channel
Too much “irrational exuberance” right now with NBEV. You are playing a game of hot potato with this stock. It will drop precipitously as it is way oversold. Too much hype with this Cannabis product lines while no federal law in place to provide some structure to operate under. FYI, 3rd quarter results out 11/15/2018 which will likely show continued loses. IMO, the higher this climbs this week, the faster it will fall.
I agree with you about not getting caught up in the hype and buy and sell as you reach your target entry and exit points. What has been lost in the recent CBD hysteria is their medical channel. If NBEV is going to break out of the small cap world it will likely be in the medical channels. Currently, they have not reported any contacts with a hospital group or a medical DSD such as McKesson. Time will tell if this medical channel is for real.
Agree. Currently stock is out ahead of its self. IMO, I’m wary of these pot stocks and now these beverage derivatives. Too much hype and not enough hard data. Maybe big, but that’s to be determined by the market in the future. Coke rumors are likely BS at this point. Most of Nbev revenue comes from the DSD division. Coke generally needs to see 1 million case sales before they show any interest. They are not there yet. I would like to see if they get any deals in the medical channel now that they have sent me capital. Also, curious why Cott agreed to let Nbev join them in purchasing raw materials. Obvious cost saving mags for Nbev, but what does Cott get out of it? BW must have not burned all the bridges over at Cott. Just some food for thought. Enjoy the last days of summer everyone
Well I hope to hear more at the shareholders meeting next month in Denver. Will be out there and hope to get some questions answered
It’s what I thought.....an educated guess
And you are privy to this information how?
This really comes down to buying the CEO. There is strong opinions for and against Brent Willis on this board. Some people think he is a great CEO ( rock star), and others believe he is a blowhard who is full of himself and couldn’t find his ass with two hands and a flashlight. At this stage in the company’s history, that’s all this is about. As I’ve said before, time will tell whether or not BW is a hero or a goat....
Then sell your position, short the stock, or don’t buy the stock.
From the conference call
Within our portfolio of brands…the Búcha brand continues to lead all brand growth. Our new initiatives, Marley Mate, Shelf-Stable Búcha, and Coco-Libre Sparkling, that importantly are all above a 40% gross margin are all showing tremendous growth and are all rolling out nationally in new distribution. As an example, one of our largest natural distributors was averaging one layer per week of Búcha sales in January. That’s 1/6th of one pallet. Three months later, that same distributor is now ordering 12 pallets a week.
You are clearly a very emotional little man.
Thought the conference call was very informative. Liked that the other executives were brought into the call. I’ve always felt that the medical channel has the best potential to transform this company. Liked the fact the BW feels the same. I think the news tidbit about the Enhanced Recovery after Surgery product is welcome news. Maybe the tip of the iceberg. I think that the gross profit margin for that product is well north of 50%.
NJM
Nice chatting with you over the last year. Best of luck.
No, I like him for the comic relief. Every place needs its village idiot.
I thought the company had a line of credit with another bank. I thought it was Bbank of America. So why go with PNC. I hope we can get some clarity on the next conference call.
Thanks for the follow up my friend. Appreciate the the work. Hopefully, BW will be forthcoming and tell shareholders why this need for the money. Lots of angry shareholders
We will get information on this next week when the company reports Q4 and full year 2017 numbers. Not sure that many remember but there is a Trade Mark lawsuit filed against New Age last August by Guayaki. The trial isn’t scheduled until this September but maybe they settled. This 20 million may be needed to pay the settlement. The bank line of credit may restrict monies to pay legal settlements, therefore, the ATM. Let’s see what pans out.
Nice presentation today for NBEV at the Roth Conference. I encourage everyone to listen to it. It runs about 30 minutes.
Different year and different month but the same old story. The only change is in the stock price. It continues to decline. Another chapter of dreamers and day traders. There will be another set of day traders later this year after these folks take a shot at it, with no success. Just like the day traders before. 600 billion shares outstanding! Need I say more. Miracles die happen; but not this company.
Just tried the Coco Libre Sparkling passion mangosteen here at the Denver Airport. Very nice flavor! Could be a hit with current sparkling water drinkers. Nice press release this morning.
Dr Pepper Snapple merging with Keurig. More beverage industry consolidation. DPS stock up 25% on the news
Good points NJM. Notice at the top of that slide it says “organic “ growth projections. As I said in an earlier post, if the share price continues to climb, at what point do acquisition discussions begin at the company.
With respect to the product lineup, Brent said as much in the last presentation that one or more products need to be a “must have” with consumers. He said he didn’t know what that product would be or care which product it is. We will need to see how this plays out over time. The new Xing product line that Brent previewed at the last presentation sounds interesting.
It will be interesting to see if the company resumes its acquisition strategy if the stock price continues to appreciate.
Wow, not been here in a while, but the only changes are the stock price and a new crop of day traders playing with the stock. Incredible!
If you review the company’s recent 3rd quarter transcript, you can read the section from Terry Sperstad, SVP of accounts. He is a former senior executive with Coke and Red Bull. I guess that he too has been duped, or he is working at New Age because he can’t find employment anywhere else in the beverage industry. Or maybe, just maybe, he sees an opportunity with this company and wants to be a part of it. I hope to have an opportunity to get to see him and the others early next year and judge for myself.
I’ll take my chances with him and NBEV and see where this goes. Since your so sure he is a loser, I hope you are putting a chunk of your net worth where your mouth is? My guess is probably not. “Big hat, no cattle,” chief
When Brent spoke at the Bevnet meeting, it sure sounded like he was speaking to an audience of start up beverage executives. So why would Bevnet ask Brent to speak if he has a poor reputation in the beverage industry?? The answer is that he is likely well respected in the industry. I’m excited to see where this company goes in 2018.
If your so confident that the company will tank, then short the stock with all your $$$. Let it all ride on NBEV going bankrupt.
Yet sales are in decline. Cash is nonexistent. Share price continues to tumble
Since we are in the holiday season, let me say it will take nothing short of a Christmas miracle to save this company at this stage
Well, the ONLY constant here has been the share price decline
So I take it Brent Willis isn’t on your Christmas list.
Well then that's possibly a good thing for New Age Beverage
Got a similar pack myself. From some posts here, I was expecting to dislike the Marley Matte, but to my surprise I thought it was pretty good. It might do very well in the market. We shall see. Thought the Xing Tea was good as well.
