It's an indication that FHFA believe they have a strong case. As such, it's not good news, right?
Why July 13?
Me too. I’d be satisfied with 5pps if it’s settled within a couple of months.
And what was the answer?
Thanks Guido.
Thanks! How long do we have to wait?
At this point, no one is expecting an outcome that would boost the pps to 50 or so. Is a 5 pps asking too much? Anyhow, can anyone advise on what's the best case scenario if we win in the lower court?
Can you tell us more about the CFC case please? Thanks.
Yesterday felt like the day FNMA shot through $6 and then dropped to $2 or so like 5 years ago. Volume was also over 0.1 billion, same as yesterday. My heart is not strong enough for another rollercoaster ride like this.
You mean CCP owned some FnF.?
Source? Link?
Who said he had like 500,000 shares or so of FnF?
Obama was chummy with CCP. His VP now has made a 180 turn.
What GVNT are you talking about? CCP?
What does it mean to us shareholders? Will Biden then release FnF promptly?
Agreed. Lower court needs only to access quantum of damages.
The justices threw out claims that the Federal Housing Finance Agency exceeded its authority under federal law. But the court also said investors might be able to win damages on a separate claim that the so-called profit sweep was illegal because the FHFA director was unconstitutionally insulated from being fired by the president.
The second part of the ruling could mean President Joe Biden will be able to oust Mark Calabria, the FHFA director and an advocate for releasing the mortgage giants from government control.
Let’s discuss what damages shareholders will get when profits are returned from the government and FnF are released from conservatorship.
Yeah it’s saying “profit sweep is illegal”. It’s good news indeed.
The U.S. Supreme Court gave Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac investors a mixed ruling in their challenge to the government’s collection of more than $100 billion in profits from the government-sponsored enterprises.

Am I the only one thinking it’s indeed good news all things considered?
The court rules that FHFA is unconstitutional structured p.73/81
Where can I see the judgment? Link please. Thanks.
23 June 7-2 win
Pps6 @ close of the day
Why 14 June?
I’d love to stay in one of those beautiful Greek islands and see the sunset every day for two months.
Come on! Hyperinflation is coming and I want to buy a mansion ASAP. Hand down the opinion NOW!
Thank god! I was rooting for Xmas
The lowest I saw was 0.19. I bought some @0.33. Average is roughly 1.5.
I was told that legally the opinion has to be handed down within 6 months from the date of hearing. So we have at most 2 weeks to get the result.
*fingers crossed
Per week?
Agreed. All these years we had high hopes she would do justice but instead she failed to do her job properly.
I was about to comment so. Despite the nice upward action, the volume is miserably low.
Thanks navycmdr.
*fingers crossed
Hopefully you’re wrong as the SCOTUS judgment shall be handed down in a couple of weeks.
I wonder how many shareholders have died during these agonizing 13 years
Many said it’d be around Memorial Day.
Sorry what hit you?
