http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-06-30/samsung-novozymes-microsoft-prince-intellectual-property.html
It's from 2011, but note the reference to MSFT's now FAILED attempt to patent what amounts to
"Lawful Intercept"...
I like our IP.....
just like Rockstar did with Nortel
stock is acting VERY good here....coiling (for those who follow charts)
dow was down 350. Voip Pal up.
Check out the chart. If we break above .255-.260, she flies....
Really? And what experience is this based on? When you are dealing with a ton of money, and Intellectual Property, what makes you think that "it shouldn't take this long?"
You see "NO REASON"? Why would any of us be privy to the reasons why the negotiations, meetings, BOD approvals etc... take however long they take...???
Your post.....
"I don't see any reason why there would be such a long wait. If VPLM is dealing with Fortune 500 companies like they claim, it shouldn't take this long."
There is a LOT of information on the website. If you have further interest, why not pick up the phone and call them?
I think that we should call Stubbs (our law firm) and ask if they think this is a "scam". After all, they represent Microsoft.....
LMFAO.
All kinds of games are played in the OTC markets by MM's.
Share price is way up from 12 months ago and stays there
Most OTC company's share price does NOT do that.
I beg to differ.
The company has been very forthcoming about the status of the IP, has published a white paper describing the potential value, etc...
What they have NOT done is to HYPE themselves, and I think it lends important CREDIBILITY to any negotiations they may be involved in.
You do understand the upside this stock has, right?
JC, may I ask what your average entry price is? You have been posting here for a while, and I suspect that you are way up on your original investment.
Why are you upset? Just curious....
Were you being "facetious"?
not bad for a stock that was trading for 2 cents a year ago, eh?
yes it is. All is well.
like I said, no reason for concern. Thanks Spec
I will call IR in the next couple of days, and post what I learn....I have a felling it's a non-issue, but we will find out, for sure.
If I am not mistaken, UI is moving to the final stage of issuance. VPLM received notice of allowance in October...I seriously doubt it's something to be concerned with..
I totally disagree with your post.
You seriously think that Microsoft would have applied for LI if they did not believe they NEEDED IT?
RBR and MG are the FOUNDATION of VOIP business models.
The patents aren't just about revenue, They ARE about being able to lawfully use Intellectual Property that is owned by VOIP PAL.
Let's review....again!
VPLM is up from under a penny to .25 in a year!
They have gotten ALL their patents, including
the valuable continuations.
The negotiations are in the hands of SEASONED PROS.
If this is depressing, GIVE ME MORE!!!!!!
Too bad the post was removed...it's the kind of post that mm's who are short use to flush out nervous investors, and would have served as a good teaching tool...
I recommend going to the website www.ibelieveeverythingIreadontheweb.com for the best and most up to date info on VPLM
Waiting can be fun...for example....we could go back to our regular lives, and when the company has news, we will then KNOW what is going on, rather than engaging in endless speculation.
These guys are pros, and I seriously doubt that the lawyers involved are going to tolerate one peep out of anyone involved in negotiations, until it is public...
Till then, back to my regularly scheduled program....
Here is what we KNOW...
VPLM has completed the Grand Slam in IP procurement
MSFT wanted to patent LI, and was turned down. Hint: they wanted it for SKYPE
We have a great board.
While the share count has increased greatly over the past 2 years, the company has used the
money wisely to secure the IP and retire debt.
The stock price is up 12 fold from a year ago, regardless of the share increase.
The board has made it clear that their goal is to be acquired and MAXIMIZE shareholder value.
These are FACTS. I suggest people stick to them.
Great post!
In many cases the market makers use FTD's. Reg SHO was supposed to clean all of this up, but it didn't. In some of the small OTC BB stocks there are substantial #s of fails that never get cleaned up, because the companies fail....
However, this time, it ain't gonna happen....
well said....there are some people in this world who are NEVER happy....
I am well aware of the major shareholders. I am also aware that the BOD does the negotiating .....
Am I supposed to be upset that a few people own large chunks of this company?
The fact is, the BOD will do what the BOD will do. No one from the companies interested in this technology cares about the posts on IHUB. Their lawyers only care about the value of the IP OWNED by VPLM.
The rest is just "conversation"
same pattern as Friday...hit the ask all day long, then a quick dip at the EOD.
either day traders taking profit, or mm's hitting the bid to make it look weaker than it really is...
I'm holding....
LI is worth quite bit to Microsoft, given that they tried UNSUCCESSFULLY to patent the technology.
MG is even bigger.
I'm very happy to have a box seat at what promises to be a vERY interesting first quarter for VPLM shareholders
Since you asked for one (and there are too many to count - but the system is far too broken to deal with it)
http://www.deepcapture.com/tag/sedona/
this is a good lesson for anyone paying attention about the dangers of market orders and OTC stocks
someone throws in a market order to sell and the MM's screw them.....typical
the other patents are DONE, COMPLETED.
VOIP PAL is awarded 100% of the patent protection they asked for.
Everyone is free to conduct due diligence and decide for yourself the value of the Voip Pal IP. Clearly, Tucker, Sawyer and Candy have and believe it to be highly valuable. Microsoft attempted to patent LI, but failed, so they CLEARLY have a dog in the fight.
All the company has done is the following:
They are FIVE FOR FIVE in obtaining valuable IP that covers VOIP technology.
They have a GREAT board.
They have little debt
They have increased the OS, for sure, and while doing so, the stock is up over 600% in 2013!
I'm quite happy with the way things are going....and continue to add on any serious dips to support
Lets say for the sake of conversation that the OS is 850.
now lets say its 950.
If the buyout is $2 a share the diff is 25 cents.
So, in other words, in January of 2013 we were trading under 3 cents, and now we are at 18 (up 6 fold) and HOLDING, and we are going to argue about the O/S....We got ALL the patents, we got a monster BOD, and a HUGE law firm to rep us....
OK, whatever....
I guess I don't understand your point. HOW did you EXPECT Voip Pal's management to achieve the goals, without dilution? They have NO revenue, and a lot of operating expenses...
This is the nature of investing in a company that has no revs. They DILUTE
So now we're up 500%+ or more over the year, and we're complaining about the outstanding?
C'mon guys.....we got ALL the patents and the continuation protection....we're looking good....100mm shares + or - means little at this point...
let em short. It will just make the upside greater if/when a deal is announced.
