In Midst Of Oil Boom, Perhaps U.S. Should Look To Another Fuel: Methanol
American energy executives and policymakers are basking in the country’s newfound oil production clout. They’re reveling in the comeback story, written by improved techniques for shale oil and gas extraction, that have made the United States the largest oil producer in the world, ahead of Saudi Arabia and Russia.
But amid the congratulations, some smart people are offering a warning. Being an oil and gasoline giant is nice, they say, but it also presents a problem: It lulls Americans into believing that there’s no harm in relying almost exclusively on gasoline and diesel as transport fuel. Outside of a few wealthy people who can afford an $85,000 Tesla, our transportation sector and ergo our whole economy, they say, is addicted to petroleum. This is why they’re urging U.S. energy policymakers and industrialists to return to the complex work of getting more of us into cars and trucks that can run on alternative fuels.
So what should be done? The answer is obvious to Korin and Luft: bring more choices for transportation fuel to the market. Compressed Natural Gas is an obvious possibility, but its traction has been poor — only 987 CNG fueling stations existed in the United States at the end of 2012. Today there are more than 1,500, which is still a small number — and only about half of those stations are open to the public.
Beyond CNG, Korin and Luft champion a lurking giant: METHANOL!
Methanol, other than being a carbon-based molecule that can be used for fuel, has little to do with ethanol, the corn-based fuel that has received plenty of deserved scorn during the last several years. Methanol is a basic alcohol — a simple hydroxide molecule paired with CH3, creating CH3OH. Fortuitously for the United States, the authors say, about two-thirds of worldwide methanol production comes from natural gas, something the U.S. has in abundance at the moment. Methanol can even be made from coal, another feedstock that’s bountiful in the U.S.Modifying normal gas engines to consume methanol costs only about $100 to $200 more than outfitting vehicles to be ethanol-gasoline flex-fuel ready, a common factory feature these days.
Various methanol blends ranging from 5% (M5) to 100% (M100) are already being used abundantly in China, where it is made from coal. The Chinese, of course, don’t make energy policy for show; they’re focused on efficiency and cost. So it’s more than intriguing that methanol already accounts for about 8% of China’s transportation fuel slate, mostly in light-duty trucks and public transit. In 2012, China had 1,200 methanol service stations and 200 methanol factories. If the United States doesn’t make more methanol, China will go it alone, right on American shores, as Chinese companies have plans to build six new plants on the Gulf Coast of the U.S. to produce methanol for export to China.
There is a bill in Congress now worth watching. The Fuel Choice and Deregulation Act of 2015 was introduced in the Senate by Sens. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Chuck Grassley (R-IA),and in the House by Rep. Rod Blum (R-IA). The bill aims to provide regulatory relief to alternative fuel producers and consumers by providing Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) credit for automakers that produce vehicles allowing for methanol as a preferred alternative fuel.
They are spending 1 billion $ to build a Methonal Plant in Trinidad. I wonder what they are going to do with all that Methonal ?? It certainly isn't for floor cleaner. Wake-up people!!! The clues are all there.
I can verify your DD at ground zero! I worked for one of the largest trucking firms in the world for 25 years and I can tell you there is huge interest in our product! Private truckers are just beginning to see the results and benefits of our diesel additive. Repeat purchases are starting to generate and they are buying multiple bottles so they don't run out. Sales figures won't lie and they will start ramping up exponentially. Big trucking companies will start to come onboard! You can't ignore the results of what this additive does! Bottom line - it saves money, saves maintenace and down time, and increases power in the engine. Oh yea, it also helps clean up the air we all breath. What a concept!
I wouldn't say no one is interested, I would say that a lot of eyes are watching out for the first signs that we are bringing this fuel to market! We are very close on multiple fronts! We are pioneers in the Flex Fuel industry and we have a product that is far superior to century old gasoline backed up by findings from EPA registered Olsen Labs in California. Believe me when I tell you your not going to get the stock at anywhere near these levels when contract announcements are made. It comes down to each individual's risk/reward formula where they are comfortable. Those who have done their DD are comfortable now, some want to wait to see a huge contract announced and are then willing to pay more. Point is - there is a lot of interest around this stock. Incredible gains are just around the corner on multiple fronts. Writing is on the wall, you just have to be patient!
Volume of 860,000 shares traded over last 10 days - What's your point?
All you have to do is talk to actual truckers who have used the product. I have talked to several and most are seeing a 15% increase in millage! Give it 30-60 days and let the Dynamo additive go viral. The Truckers are starting to see what Pilot/Flying J research & DD has already discovered. The Dynamo diesel additive is the best one on the market right now. It is putting $50-$100 per tankful back into the pockets of the truckers. All the BS on this board is ridiculous- posted by people who have no idea what this company is about. All they are trying to do is promote their own agenda. There are 3 divisions in this company. The medical division alone is worth more than the present stock price. The additive is in the largest seller of diesel in North America and our Flex Fuel is in the process of being introduced as the FLEX FUEL for the entire world! When is the last time any company tried to take a fuel to compete with gasoline to market? Ask yourself, how easy or difficult would that be? Make no mistake - they will penetrate into the market in a big way. This stock is so undervalued at it's present market value that it is a gift to anyone who is well educated on exactly what this company owns. It's in Black & White - just read the California EPA registered Olsen lab report! The Court forced liquidation of millions of shares of stock in this company at this stage of the game is an opportunity for many to change their lives. Many of my friends have added to their positions while others on this board just have nothing better to do but express their impatience with how fast things are progressing. The KEY word there is PROGRESSING and this company is progressing on multiple fronts. Shares are being traded from the weak to the strong. Being forced by a court to liquidate ones shares is a weak position. Selling your shares and ignoring the Fundamentals is also selling from a weak position. There are plenty of Strong position holders out there who are adding everyday!
You have to understand all the logistics and hoops we have to jump through to get the fuel to Market. I'd say we are 95% there and a little patience from now will be so rewarded. Once the fuel hits the market - this stock will GAP to double digits! The fuel additive has hit the market! the feedback is coming in - it is by far the best additive on the market. When a nationwide distribution is announced - again we should gap to double digits. Everyone reading this post - remember - you had your chance to buy this below $1.00 !!! When it's $10.00, ironically - everyone will be buying it!
WAKE-Up people! CO2 levels were just announced today to hit 400 parts per million! The pressure to reduce CO2 emissions is going to reach an all-time high globally! It's all over the news today - this problem is getting worse exponentially! Our fuel will reduce CO2 emissions from our cars by 70%!!! ECSL has a solution to help aid in this problem Globally. Our additive reduces CO2 by 20% in diesel trucks and is on the market now!
Here is an article written Today:
WASHINGTON (AP) - Global levels of carbon dioxide, the most prevalent heat-trapping gas, have passed a daunting milestone, federal scientists say.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says in March, the global monthly average for carbon dioxide hit 400.83 parts per million. That is the first month in modern records that the entire globe broke 400 ppm, reaching levels that haven't been seen in about 2 million years.
"It's both disturbing and daunting," said NOAA chief greenhouse gas scientist Pieter Tans. "Daunting from the standpoint on how hard it is to slow this down."
He said it is disturbing because it is happening at a pace so fast that it seems like an explosion compared to Earth's slow-moving natural changes.
Carbon dioxide isn't just higher, it is increasing at a record pace, 100 times faster than natural rises in the past, Tans said.
Pushed by the burning of coal, oil and gas, global carbon dioxide is 18 percent higher than it was in 1980, when NOAA first calculated a worldwide average. In 35 years, carbon dioxide levels rose 61 parts per million. In pre-human times, it took about 6,000 years for carbon dioxide to rise about 80 parts per million, Tans said.
Monthly levels fluctuate with the season, peaking in May and then decreasing as plants absorb carbon dioxide. But they are increasing on a year-to-year basis.
Levels are also higher in the Northern Hemisphere because that's where carbon dioxide is being spewed by power plants and vehicles, Tans said.
The first time levels passed the 400 ppm milestone was for just a few weeks in the Arctic in 2012. Last year the monthly Northern Hemisphere average measured in Hawaii exceeded 400 and now the global average has as well, said James Butler, head of NOAA's global monitoring division.
I also know someone who wants it all. They have been actively buying it OTC for a month in 5k & 10k bids. I myself have joined in and been acquiring shares at these ridiculous prices. One fuel announcement - and this stock is gone. All the stock left for sale now is extremely manageable. We are heading to the pumps guys - not if but when!! When that happens, 95% of the longs here know what they have and are not going to give up there positions. Hedge funds & institutions will want a piece and it is going to cost them. The medical division alone is worth at least half the present value of the stock and no one has even mentioned it. A Flying J Pilot roll out is imminent once truckers start talking. The stock price will start to reflect fundamentals very soon. Open your eyes and look at the facts!!!
You hope it only goes to $5.00 when a fuel contract is announced? IMO the gap could be much larger, especially if there are in fact a large number of shorts who haven't covered!
I see the makings of a huge short squeeze coming. Shorts are clueless to what's going on behind the scenes. All longs on this board will be thanking all the shorts shortly!!!
Pump & Dumps do not get game changing products onto the retail shelves of Billon $$$ Companies! If you understand the Short game - it's really a #'s game. But just remember one important fact, short positions open yourself up to Unlimited Risk. The shorts are pushing this stock lower and nothing else. The rubber band can be pushed back only so far. The farther they push it back the more resistance they will face. The day will come when the contracts are announced and everyone will realize the shorts were pushing back one of the largest sling shots ever created.
Picked up a ton of cheap shares the last 5 minutes between $1.05 and $1.12. I'm just shaking my head as to why they are so easily bought at the end of the day!!!!
From the weak hands to the Strong hands the shares continue to transfer at these very low prices. Amazing!!!!
A picture is worth a thousand words. Reality is about to hit folks. The additive & fuel divisions are about to take off. Why would a multi-billion $ franchise put a product into their line-up after they have tested it??? Because it WORKS!!! Sales will be brisk is an understatement. Once truck drivers try our Dynamo Product - they will be addicted to it (Saving money on every fuel purchase in the future) . We are ready to supply the demand and it will be enormous.
Hey, Gas shot up 20 cents a gal. in my area this past week. Has anyone else seen a rapid increase in their area?
Like I have said before - we get the largest retail seller of Diesel in North America to put our additive for sale on the shelves of their stores and "impatient" investors are selling their stock right into the hands of the shorters? Who cares if it takes 1 week or a month to get into the stores? You are missing the whole point - that the reason this additive is going into the stores to begin with, is because it has gone through immense testing and has been proven to work. I, for one, have personally talked to truckers who have ordered the additive off the website and cannot wait for the convenience of buying at a truck stop. Do your DD - this stuff works!!! When it hits the retail market, cases will fly off the shelves. I have not met a trucker yet who did not want to save $30.00 to $50.00 or more per tankful and at the same time be in compliance with the new forth coming emission standards. And remember, the additive is only 1 of 3 divisions of this company. Get a clue complainers - the numbers are right around the corner from pushing this stock to unseen & unimagined levels!!
Selling your shares now would be like selling front row seats to the superbowl during the pre-game warm-ups! The game is about to begin. Those who buy in now at these low prices will be in for the game of their lives!!! The numbers on this stock are across the board impressive and in just a few weeks - we will have proof of the #'s. No more hypotheticals - facts and sales #'s will be pouring in and driving this stock!
All Longs in this Stock - Ask yourself one simple question. Why would the largest seller of Diesel in North America put our additive on the shelves in their stores? Answer - BECAUSE IT WORKS! Our CEO has stated they are planning to do 32,000 bottles a month to START! We are in a roll out phase right now to get this into as many stores as fast as possible. Over the coming months, we will roll out to all their stores and the Sales & $$$ profits will push the stock. That's why you buy a Stock - is it not? For future growth potential. There is not a better business plan or opportunity anywhere in the market today IMO. I for one am accumulating more shares each week at these low prices. I am not planning on selling any shares for at least a year. Buy & Hold !!! You'll be glad you did!!
Anyone who has done any DD knows the medical division alone is worth more than $1.30 a share. The Fuel division is about to break into the public sector and the additive division has broke into the retail sector. The largest Diesel Retailer in North America is putting the Diesel Additive on it's shelves and a "Handful" of investors said "Ya - after hearing that news, I need to sell my shares now." How absurd is that thinking? If you sell your shares now - you deserve what you get!
What do you think will happen to the stock price when it announced the fuel is for sale at the Pumps?? Wake up and smell the coffee - you have got to be crazy to sell (or Short) this stock at these prices? Our future is bright my fellow LONGS !!!!
I agree with Gurupup 100% - that was the best post I have seen on this board yet! There are a few impatient posters who seem to need their hands held because they don't understand what is taking so long? And they need to hear from probably the busiest CEO on the Planet right now! The bottom line is nothing is taking too long! This book is being written as we speak. Your impatience shows your lack of understanding of doing business in the real world. The company has had their products tested by the best labs in the world & they have verified they are the real deal in fuels & additives. Talk to your friends or any consumer and tell them about our proven products - they cannot wait until this stuff hits the market. When the first gas station opens selling our fuel and the first consumers start filling up their vehicles ( for far less than the price of regular gasoline) with a 96 octane, clean, green fuel and they realize they are getting better MPG's - Watch what happens Nationwide and Globally! I for one, am willing to hold and add to my position for as long as it takes to get that first station open. IMO - In time, every fuel station in the US will want to sell our product! Methanol fuels will make the US energy independent! And that's just scratching the surface as the Global Market is endless. So whatever time management needs, to do this right - they have my blessing!
So if you are looking for a company to invest in that has 2 lines of proven products that are a solution to an "Urgent Global Threat" ECSL is your investment!! The R & D has been done and we are about to break into the Global marketplace in a big way! Invest in the future of this planet. Petroleum based fuels had their run in the sun for over 100 years - it's time for a greener, cleaner fuel for all the world to use!
combine that news release with this article released today:
WASHINGTON -- The Obama administration's new national security strategy, released Friday, puts a top priority on climate change, calling it "an urgent and growing threat."
Climate change, the strategy says, is "contributing to increased natural disasters, refugee flows, and conflicts over basic resources like food and water."
The strategy lists climate change as one of eight "top strategic risks" to U.S. interests, along with a catastrophic attack on the U.S., threats or attacks against citizens abroad, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
"The present day effects of climate change are being felt from the Arctic to the Midwest. Increased sea levels and storm surges threaten coastal regions, infrastructure, and property," states the strategy. "In turn, the global economy suffers, compounding the growing costs of preparing and restoring infrastructure."
The strategy touts the commitment the U.S. has made to cutting emissions 26 to 28 percent below 2005 levels by 2025, as well as the work on developing "an ambitious new global climate change agreement."
"It's a strategy to promote our values in a world where no ocean, no fence, and no firewall can shield us from the reality of threats across the globe," said Secretary of State John Kerry in a statement Friday. "In the 21st Century, next door is everywhere."
National security leaders have previously raised concerns about climate change. The Pentagon released a report last October on climate change, and Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel has also highlighted climate change as a threat multiplier.
How about the company sponsoring a booth at the Mid America Trucking show.
www.truckingshow.com March 26 -28 in Louisville KY. They could showcase and educate over 70,000 attendees on their products in 3 days. I believe it is the largest heavy duty trucking show in the world and it is just around the corner!
Being associated with one of the largest Trucking firms on the planet, I can tell you first hand many are under-estimating the content of today's press release. Given due time it will translate to revenue, $ and earnings that are off the charts. This additive will be in great demand in a very short period of time.
I agree 100% with you Skeeter. Because when a contract involving $ & Cents is announced, not only will revenue & profits be derived from it - but more importantly the catalyst to hundreds of deals like it globally! The first one is always the sweetest as we jump from R & D into execution and profits! The stock price will also take a nice jump accordingly. " The Table has been set, the Guests are all here, were nibbling on the appetizers - it's time for the MAIN COURSE!!
Anyone with kids has realized that the price of cereal has tripled in the last decade. You can contribute that price increase to ethanol in our gas. As a methanol flex fuel is introduced to the consumer and it grows more and more into mass consumption - ethanol consumption will be proportionately reduced. A fringe benefit to this is we would begin to lower Cereal prices and Corn Chip prices for Superbowl Sunday.
Read this article from 2010 and decide for yourself if Methanol based fuel is the way of the future:
"In the U.S., we currently have in place the Renewable Fuel Standard, which mandates the production of
12.95 billion gallons of renewable fuel in 2010 to promote the development of renewable transportation
fuels. Ethanol – which is the most commonly used renewable fuel in the market today – currently
consumes almost 35% of the corn and 28% of the sorghum grown in the U.S. each year to meet
demand, putting significant price pressures on both of these commodities. With over 136 billion gallons
of gasoline consumed each year, these crops alone will be hard pressed to make a significant impact on
the consumption of oil. By 2020, the RFS calls for 30 billion gallons of renewables to be in the
transportation fuel pool, an almost three-fold increase over current consumption. By spreading out the
production of fuel over multiple feedstocks, we can more quickly realize our goal of employing
domestically-produced fuels in the transportation sector.
In order to produce 30 billion gallons of methanol fuel, we would need to
only tap into less than 5% of three abundant resources in the United
States which have proven technologies for conversion to methanol.
According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), 21.2
trillion cubic feet (Tcf) of dry natural gas was produced in the United
States in 2008. With about 100 cubic feet of natural gas needed to
produce one gallon of methanol, the production of 10 billion gallons of
methanol would require 1 Tcf of natural gas, or less than 5% of current
domestic natural gas production. Again, according to the EIA, the U.S. produced 1,171 million short
tons of coal in 2008. It takes about 5,000 short tons of coal to produce one million gallons of methanol
using proven gasification technology. The production of 10 billion gallons of methanol would require 50
million short tons of coal, or just 4.2% of current coal production. Finally,
according to a joint DOE/USDA report, U.S. forestland and agricultural land
- the two largest potential biomass sources - represent over 1.3 billion dry
tons per year of biomass potential, which alone is enough to produce
biofuels meeting more than one-third of the current demand for
transportation. Using mature gasification technology, one ton of biomass
can be used to produce 165 gallons of methanol, as opposed to only about
100 gallons of cellulosic ethanol. The production of 10 billion gallons of
methanol would require 60 million tons of biomass, or less than 5% of the
biomass production potential. With these three feedstocks alone, we could
produce 30 billion gallons of methanol fuel and meet our fuel diversity goals
from less than 5% of the current production capacity of each.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but I heard that E-85 the current flex fuel on the market only has a 5 to 10% reduction in CO2 emissions when compared to regular gasoline. Not much of a reduction when you compare it to Eco-Flex 96.
The fuel meets all the Governmental Standards and requirements to legally sell it in the state of Florida. Call that what you want, but "YES" we have the green light to sell the fuel in Florida.
My guess is with approval for sale in the State of Florida or any other State for that matter, they would be targeting replacing the only Flex Fuel currently on the market -E85 (Ethanol). The Facts are that independent EPA registered lab has confirmed that our Singular 96 is a better fuel than E-85 and gasoline in every category from emissions to miles per gallon! It is made from natural gas which is at least 50 times more abundant than growing corn to make ethanol. Therefore it will be much cheaper to produce and sustain in large quantities (Without Gov't Subsidies as in the case of Ethanol). The large methanol producing companies can & will gladly produce all the methanol we need to fill large orders. Posters on this board have run the fuel in their cars and know first hand it is everything the EPA CERTIFIED LAB says it is. So there in a nutshell is the blueprint for what ECSL has in our fuel division. The time-frame to get the fuel to market through the proper channels and business partners is ongoing. Everyday, progress is being made and we will soon achieve multiple sales contracts. I am so looking forward to the day when the product hits the market and the consumer can see for themselves what many of us longs already know!
This company's product will make it out to the consumer soon - then look out! Consumer demand for our products will be unstoppable and big money & big corporations will work their way onto our playing field!!!
Not sure what went on at the end - but I got bids filled at $1.64, $1.66 & $1.68 All filled in last minute??
Picking a bunch up at the close at $1.68 - Thank You!!!!
Right on Harley! These shorts are actually a blessing in disguise for us longs to add to our positions! Very soon, no one will have to do any DD to understand what this company has. Every consumer in the Americas will be made aware through the press & media!
Cannot believe my orders are getting filled at these prices at this stage of the game!
Common Sense all - buying opportunity here!!!
Energynut - my point was a large portion of the buyers of flex fuel cars are environmentalists who are concerned about the effects of using gasoline. Given a choice- they will choose to fill up with a flex fuel -even though it is more expensive. When our Flex fuel gets out to the consumer - it will ignite a flex fuel revolution in this country - as it will be cheaper than gasoline, better gas MPH, better performance and most of all better for the environment.
I am sure that the company has global methanol producers in place that can deliver to Florida. So to be clear, it's not M85, its the E-85 at gas stations this will be replacing. E-85 is available at several gas stations in my local area and is currently priced at $2.95 a gallon. The Ironic thing is that the gas stations are still selling it to the owners of Flex Fuel cars even though regular gas in my area is now $2.10 a gallon. The owners of Flex Fuel cars will spend the extra money because in their minds they are helping the environment in their own small way. The whole point to this company is they have a much cheaper & better performance Flex Fuel made from methanol (made from natural gas), not gov't subsidized ethanol (made from corn). There is a 1000 times greater supply of natural gas on the planet compared with the supply of corn on the planet. Thus, our Flex Fuel (singular 96) is a much more permanent solution to supplying a flex fuel to all global nations. So if you think flex fuel cars are here to stay and the future plans of GM, Toyota, Ford ect... are to build more and more flex fuel cars - this company is a great investment! LTA was right, it's not if - but when news comes out!
I really don't care if there are flippers, shorters or even loud mouths on this board that try to manipulate the stock. The bottom line is this flex fuel has been proven valid and has a future potential value like nothing I have ever seen in my 30 years of trading stocks. Sometimes - a little common sense goes a long way!!!
Tsunami of buying will be coming in shortly!! MM's can manipulate all they want - won't manner when the buying starts.
