Congratulations on the new addition to the family! There's nothing quite as special as grandchildren. Hope mother is doing well also.
Did the same thing myself with NFLX. Just one week short of a huge breakout I sold @ a loss. It happens. Good luck to you with reentry. There's still time.
Great news INSPECT (stand alone version) has been released! But they also have a PC based embedded version in development with Materialise. When will the embedded version be ready to launch? Does anyone know? On Sigma's own website they say:
"PrintRite 3D INSPECT Software, when coupled with PrintRite3D® SENSORPAK™, enables part quality during manufacturing, eliminating
post-manufacturing quality inspection."
Has Sigma come out with the SENSORPAK? If it did, when, if not when will it? The SENSORPAK is the auxiliary hardware kit that (is slated to) sit on every AM machine to collect data to drive the software.
INSPECT is the 1st of 3 software packs from Sigma. DEFORM is in development and slated for release early 2015 (1st quarter). THERMAL is still just a concept.
Correct me if I'm wrong but IMHO I see SGLB skyrocketing pass the moon when they announce the release of SENSORPAK. This kit seems to be the crux of PrintRite 3D.
Holding long and strong! GLTA!
This is very encouraging to see GE publicly claim they are working with Sigma Labs! Thanks for sharing!
It sure is!
In case anyone's forgotten the PR put out back in August of the MOU Sigma formed with Burke E. Porter, here's a refresher.
I think you're right about end of the year sell offs and potential buyers vacationing right now. You can also add that people are broke after Christmas shopping. But keep in mind with the new year comes Income Tax refunds. Even if the PPS drifts down to single digits, look at it as a buying opportunity! Large and small investors are going to sit up and take notice of SGLB's significant news and advancements over the last year. Then they'll INVEST! SGLB is definitely going places in 2014 and I plan to go along with them!!!
It's hard to be positive when we see our investments turn into a loss and our gains dwindle. None of us, (despite what the charts and indicators say) know what the future holds. We make choices we believe are sound ones based on DD and expect to be rewarded positively. In the end we each have to do what we feel is best for us. There will always be those whose opinions & visions are different from our own (that's why this board is great reference material). I hope 2014 brings commercialization of PrintRite 3D, but even if it doesn't, I see the company maturing, continuing to build an impressive network and progressing toward that ultimate goal.
Merry Christmas to all!!
JJ,
Since PrintRite 3D Inspect and Sensor Pak are in beta testing and PrintRite 3D Deform (a critical app since it "predicts distortion and calculates the PRE-SHAPE that results in the right FINAL SHAPE") is now moving towards commercialization, where does that leave PrintRite 3D Thermal? Isn't this an integral part of the PrintRite 3D package since it predicts the thermal profile on the metal part being made? Are we still waiting for Sigma to perfect this last piece of the PrintRite 3D pack before the whole shabang is ready for commercialization? Will Deform also have to go through a period of beta testing?
I emailed Mr. Cola this morning asking when the data sheets for Sensor Pak, Deform and Thermal would be available for reading and am awaiting his reply.
What's your perspective on all this? Seems to me each one of these 4 components is necessary for the whole thing to work.
These are legitimate and timely questions. Why don't you email Mr. Cola and present them. You may be fortunate enough to get some answers. It's worth a try. All who read here would like to know.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like Honeywell Aerospace is already using PrintRite 3D. According to Sigma's November 18th announcement of the extention of its contract with Honeywell;
What proof do you have that Honeywell is paying Sigma Labs but GE isn't? And exactly what is Honeywell paying for?
Silversmith, thanks for that reality check. Looking at all those other 3D company stock charts is an encouragement that there will be a GREAT light at the end of SGLB's tunnel. Holding long and strong (through the dips and rises)! Go SGLB!!!
By Big "G" I suppose you mean GE?
Well said. Whether or not SGLB's Printrite 3D will or will not be commercialized will be revealed in 2014; be it 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th quarter. We're all hoping much sooner than later. It's only natural that there will be intermittent draw backs in PPS. Who knows, we may do a bit of sideways trending for a while until the big announcement. All I know is I'm gonna hold my shares until the day SIGMA makes that announcent of commercialization. (Then I plan to pay off my house, car and a few other things :)
The RSI (being around 58 or 59) doesn't support GLBH being oversold, but fast and slow stochastics does (hanging around 0 to 30). The DMI (ADX) crossed upward but could just as easily take a plunge so whether or not you buy more shares or hold the ones you have is still a risk. Only time will tell.
WOW, thanks for the link! Very informative. Will be using this site to evaluate all future potential investments.
Why? Do you have insight about something significant the rest of us don't. Please, do share. Holding long and strong!
It seems, from reading this summit update, that there is a very real potential for established, well funded companies to pursue buying out smaller companies and their new technology to boost their own money-making status in the 3D market.
Not meaning to take away from the outstanding performance over the past several months but out of curiosity does anyone know why SGLB soared from .07 in January 2011 to .25 in March then plummeted to .007 in November? Sigma's web page says their scientists have been working together since 1993. Does that mean Printrite 3D has been 10 years in the making? I know the company is a respected and sought-after VOICE among the 3D community (can't wait to hear what comes from this weeks summit meetings). Just would like a little more history. I'm holding long from .066 and hope to see things continue to skyrocket. I'm not worried about any minor pull backs. That's a fact among all stocks. It just seems like SGLB is being very dispassionate about their product that is about to EXPLODE in the industry. Nevertheless, uncertainty is what it is (especially with pennystocks). I really appreciate the input on this message board.
I've quit scrolling back and forth. I just go to the upper right hand corner of the message board and click "NEXT" to get from message to message.
Why do you think SGLB will fall, especially with the summit coming up so soon? Don't you think SGLB's participation in the summit will boost the PPS, at least in the short term?
Can't wait to see how Sigma Labs participation in the summit meetings tomorrow and Friday will effect PPS. After exposure to so many BIG names, SGLB's conformation as a serious contender will be heralded far and wide; by and to those with deep pockets who are on the forefront of 3D production. GLTA! Go SGLB!
How many companies can you list who have kept their investors in the loop on EVERY step of development and promotion?
Amazing how fast new technology is produced. What next? I'm as happy as anyone that B6 Sigma has been awarded a grant along with all the other 3D teams, but has anyone else wondered "what if one of these other teams comes up with a marketable solution before B6 Sigma?" I'm in for the long haul, but just a thought.
For all who aren't aware:
Additive/Aerospace Summit: Building a Supply Chain for High Performance Aerospace Manufacturing
The advent of metals and other high performance materials to the additive toolkit opens a new universe of industrial applications and markets beyond simple prototyping. The Department of Defense, including DARPA, the Air Force and Navy Air Force, has launched numerous initiatives for adopting metals and composite additive platforms for the direct digital fabrication of high performance parts. Top aerospace and defense OEMS such as Boeing, Northrup Grumman, Pratt Whitney and GE are equally pursuing additive platforms.
However, aerospace applications are among the most exacting of material-engineering industries. To fully integrate additives into the existing supply chain, a number of issues, including need for scale-up funding, dealing with costly aerospace insurance, establishing global materials standards and certifications, and improved process controls, must be resolved.
To help the additive community meet these challenges, Infocast has developed its inaugural Additive/Aerospace Summit, October 16-18 in Los Angeles. Senior representatives from DOD, global OEMs, contractors, leading vendors/developers of high-performance additive platforms, materials/software providers, fabrication shops, national labs and university R&D groups will gather to discuss what’s needed to drive this emerging industry forward.

0.135 would be nice. No doubt it will surpass the 52 week high soon after the Aerospace Summit Meeting due to the news that will be out. But what are you basing an increase on next week?
What stock (big board or penny) can you name whose PPS climbed without any dips? Right, none. It's normal to get antsy when the PPS takes a dive. But for long term investors, it's about hanging on past the Additive/Aerospace Summit meeting this month where Sigma Labs will be a panel participant. Guess who will also be there listening to Sigma Labs?
Nothing like being proven wrong and being happy about it. .094. We may see .10 yet. GO SGLB!
Based on what?
Sorry. Thanks for the clarification. I must learn to pay closer attention to the details (which is hard to do after being up 20 hours in a row and working all night). I'm with SGLB for the long haul. I've learned a lot and been encouraged by this message board. I think 2014 will be a very rewarding year for all of us.
Not meaning to be a kill-joy, but where did you get that chart? It's inaccurate. Around half of those green bars should be red. That's not to say SGLB hasn't had a phenomenal performance over the last month because it has. But let's stick with reality and not fantasy.
GO SGLB!!
WHOA do you see it?? .0815!!! YES!!!
DASTY was also down. 0.20 down. Why do so many investors expect SGLB to explode with no news or product release? Over the past month SGLB is exhibiting higher highs and higher lows. I want an upturn as much as the next investor, but it's still a little ways from year end and 2014. Isn't that the projected possible .50 range? Hang in there. SGLB is going up. Maybe not as quickly as we'd all like. But the fact is it's creeping upward. GO SGLB!!!
In May of 2007 Arcam was .87 per share. Just yesterday they closed at over $114 per share. Hold on SGLB shareholders. Our day is coming, too!!!!!!
Well said!
I don't get it. If 3D printrite is going to be as BIG as everybody keeps saying, then why are we limiting this to .50 and maxing it out at $1.00. With this innovative technology isn't it just possible we could go WAY beyond that; upwards to $5.00 or $10.00 at the least!
Do you think those who jumped on the class action lawsuit train are holding on to their stocks or selling?
Sorry I'm new to all this. Does the law suit mean stockholders will recover their losses and if so, when and how much, if any? Or would it be best to count losses and sell?
Very nice and informative article. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like tomorrow, 8/20, after the market closes. So we'll probably see results from that report Wednesday. Hope for the best!
