I'll kick in $2K - $3K with promise of getting one of the first 10,000 bottles of anatablock should it ever become a OTC "drug" in the US again. Certainly not a billionaire investing angel but if another couple of thousand people were to do the same, you'd be talking about real money.
I do have rheumatoid arthritis and Anatabloc has helped me immensely. I do hpoe that that those a*&%$*@s do get to experience the pleasure :) of this disease.
Tried Curcumin
Before I started using Anatabloc, I tries curcumin and curcumin with ginger as recommended by Dr. Weil. I felt no difference in the pain from the rheumatoid arthritis in my hands and no difference in the symptoms of secondary hypthyroidism. Based on what I've read about curcumin, it looks like the long term use would be useful for the prevention of some chronic conditions but I found that it had no influence on my acute symptoms.
After starting Anatabloc, on the other hand, I felt relief from the RA pain in several days and the hypothyroidism symptoms decreased dramatically over
a longer period of time. So, curcumin --> good, Anatabloc --> great.
Best Regards.
Regarding dosage
I don't know what dosage RCPI is using in the phase 1 test but my limited experience tells me that dosage does matter. For the RA that I have:
3mg/day helps
6mg/day very little pain
9mg/day no pain in any joint.
Baylor,
The RA had progressed far enough before I started taking Anatabloc that one joint in my left little finger had become completely "frozen". It is no longer red and inflamed but the joint is still enlarged and still frozen. There's no longer any pain in this joint so I'm happy with its present state.
The same joint on my right hand was well on its way to the same state but had not progressed quite as far. The joint is still enlarged but not to the same extent as that joint on my left hand. I'm not sure if I got back a little of the movement that I had lost in the right joint but it still does move, just not normally. Again, no pain.
Before I started taking Anatabloc, some of the other joints in my hands were red, inflamed, and painful on a daily basis but they don't seem to have reached the point where they were damaged. These now work normally with no pain.
Bottom line: Anatabloc won't reverse the damage but it will prevent further damage and get rid of the pain.

Baylor,
I has rheumatoid arthritis in my hands and that one reason that I stocked up Anatabloc. I've been taking it since Oct. 7th, 2011 and have had no negative side effects. In spite of two joint that progressed to the stage where they can no longer move, I have never taken prescription drugs for fear of their very negative side effect.

Thanks Leifsmith. I am thinking of writing a letter to one of our new senators and wanted to reference that.
Need Pointer to Harvard Study
Some time ago, a pointer to a Harvard study on the safety of anatabine citrate was put on this message board. I can't find that and would appreciate it if someone would re-post that pointer.

Availability of Facial Creams from Rock Creek
I just tried to order the clarifying facial cream at anatabloc.com and I got the message "Sorry, Anatabloc Clarifying Facial Cleanser is out of stock at this time.". I tried all of the other products and got the same message so I guess that Rock Creek isn't selling anything now.
Return of Problems
I'm interested in hearing about the return of any issues that Anatabloc ameliorated for you when you started taking it. I cut my daily dosage from 9 a day down to 3 a day to stretch out the length of time that my small stash will last. That took place on the day that the latest FDA notice came out declaring that anatabine citrate is a drug.
Thus far, the rheumatoid arthritis pain in my hands is coming back but the red and inflamed joints have not (yet) started up again. I guess that I can tolerate the pain as long as the joint destruction doesn't come back.
--- Big Brother Is Watching
Almost got 10 more bottles at GNC in northern CO this morning just after it opened. Unfortunately, the clerk who was in the process of ringing up my order was stopped by the manager. The manager was not working yesterday when the pull order from corporate came in which is why there was still some Anatabloc on the shelf. I was told that they got a pull and hold order, not a return or destroy order. Perhaps GNC is thinking that this mess will not last too long.
One observation and speculation: an NDIN has or will soon be filed so my guess is that RCPI will start selling Anatabloc "soon". They will still not be able to tell the truth about it as more studies come out.

That is truely a beautiful presentation.
Deast,
skiguy is hardly worth the effort of a reply. He clearly ran into too many trees (head first) on his last run down the slope.
The first step in the scientific process is observation (testmonials) and although quantifying the effect of substance A on malady X to 3 significant digits is much more satisfying and useful, to discount observations is to be stuck in the past.
I originally started taking Anatabloc on the off-chance that it could do something for my secondary hypothyroidism. Nothing else that I tried did anything and I found nothing on the web, short of multiple hormone replacement, that would do anything for me. It took a month or a bit more before I felt better but in the mean time the pain from RA in my hands went from the point where I was having a problem even opening doors down to ZERO.
That was about 2 years ago so I don't remember exactly how long it took but somewhere in the 1 to 3 week time frame seems about right. One of my finger joints is shot (calcified is what I'd call it) but at least there's no pain in that joint any more. Most of the rest of my finger joints did not reach the point of irreversible damage and they also are completely pain free.
It seems to me that investigation of this would make an excellent doctoral thesis for someone in the appropriate area of study. No shots are necessary so no medical personel are needed to participate and the study's time frame can be relatively short. I even have the title for the study: "A Placebo Controlled, Double Blind, Multi-site Investigation Into the Effect of Anatabine Citrate on Mild to Moderate Rheumatoid Arthritis".
Wad'a ya think?
I'm on Star's auto-ship plan and I increased my order from 3 bottles to 6 bottles because of FDA issue. I'll keep this up a while until the dust settles down. If Anatabloc is not pulled from the shelves then I'll decrease my order down to 2 bottles/order until I use up my stash.
I did take this opportunity to send a bottle to my sister who also has RA. It's 50-50 chance that she even tries is. Some people just don't appreciate free stuff.
I believe that Dr. Weil mentions that a combination of tumeric and ginger are more "powerful" than tumeric alone. I have mild to moderate RA so I tried this for about 2 months and all I got was mild indigestion. I am not impressed. Anatabloc 1, tumeric 0.
Recent Star Hit Articles
Here's my semi-conspiracy theory:
1. The big boys who are shorting know they need to cover
2. They want to get shares as cheaply as possible and don't want competition
3. They publish hit pieces trying to get more small guys to go short so that there are more shares available to buy
4. They also don't want the small guys who are short to cover yet
5. They can then buy shares more cheaply than if all of the shorts are covering at the same time.

Anatabloc Return Rate at GNC?
Based on conversations that I had with clerks in two different GNC stores in northern Colorado, I believe that the sales rate is up and return rate from new users is down. This was in the last 1 to 2 months but they could not give me quantitative data.

Increasing Sales Volume?
The last recurring order that I received was about 3 weeks late. I was told by Star's customer service droid that there was a backlog of orders of the unflavored Anatabloc and that she couldn't estimate when my order would be shipped. It finally arrived about 3 weeks late. My next order is due to arrive any day now so it will be interesting to see if it also will arrive late.
This may be one small piece of the "what is the product order rate" puzzle. From this experience, I'm inferring that sales are ramping up and Star can't yet keep up with the ramp. Hope springs eternal!!

Vitamins A & D Amount
In looking at 300 count bottles of mint flavored and unflavored Anatabloc, I see the following
Mint: vitamin A: 90UI, vitamin D3: 40UI for 2 lozenges
Unflavored: vitamin A: 834UI, vitamin D3: 66UI for 2 lozenges
Re: Anatabloc Logo Clothing
I don't usually wear shirts that advertise a product, sports team, vacation destination, etc. but in this case I'll make an exception. I would buy a polo shirt with a tasteful Anatabloc logo on it. I prefer embroidered ;)

Anatabloc Availabilty?
On Sunday, 8/25, which was 13 days ago, I pulled my periodic delivery of Anatabloc in by several weeks because of an extended trip that I'm taking. I expected the bottles to be shipped out out the next day on Monday, 8/26 and that I would receive it by 9/3. Nothing arrived so I called on 9/4 and was told that it hasn't been shipped yet. I called again yesterday, 9/6 and it still hasn't shipped.
I was told that orders were backlogged. There are several reasons that I can think of that this could happen:
1. A bottle neck somewhere in the supply chain
2. They don't like me
3. Orders have increased so much that Rock Creek can't keep up with the demand
I'm hoping that the reason is #3.

Quantitative vs. Qualitative
Part of science is observation. What you refer to as anecdotal evidence is just that, observation. What you refer to as "scientific evidence" will be testing that provides quantitative data.

I did ask about that.
1. I can recall the shares at any time. I don't know what the time lag is between my recalling shares and when they actually show up.
2. I also asked about shareholder voting rights. These pass onto the ultimate buyer but Fidelity did say something about notifying me in the event of a shareholder event.
Maybe I'm being paranoid but my biggest concern is that there would be a shareholder vote on something (buyout, hostile takeover, etc.) and I would somehow miss the vote. I guess that is why my nom de plume has the word Amateur in it.

I know what you mean. I politely refuse their "generous" opportunity. I would have considered it if the rate had been 150,000%
More Short Interest Coming?
This has never happened to me before. I got a call from Fidelity's Securities Lending Group asking if I would be interested in lending out ~100,000 shares of STSI. Does anyone know what's coming? Bad news? An upcoming share holder vote? Incidently, the offer was for a 15% annual rate.

Anatablock Effect on PSA
Tangent,
I had a PSA score that had been slowly rising ever since I started getting annual blood tests in 2005. The PSA score from my annual blood testing in Sept of 2005 was 0.40. The PSA score from my Sept. 20th, 2011 blood test was 1.30. On Oct. 11th, 2011, I started taking Anatabloc and had another blood test at the end of January, 2012. My PSA score went from 1.30 down to 0.60. I used to have a trip to the bathroom each night but that has been reduced to no trips on most nights. The quantitative data (PSA went from 1.3 to 0.6) supports the qualitative data (fewer trips to the bathroom at night). This isn't an FDA trial but the evidence is good enough for me.
Having said all of that, the effect of Anatabloc will depend upon the underlying cause of the BPH.

When I Bought Shares
I did start buying CIGX in the $4.00 range and I still have them. I also bought more more on the way down which includes a significant number in the sub-$1.50 range. So yes, I do appreciate the early heads-up that I got from Patrick Cox. When I bought shares was up to me and I recognize that I'm terrible at calling the bottom or top of anything.

Yes, but I've yet to find one that works. Anatabloc does.
The Wait for Peer-Reviewed Study Results
I don't know about the medical community but in the electronics area, it can easily take a year from submission to publication. For example, this would be in one of the IEEE journals.
I am taking Anatbloc and it has reduced the symptoms of my rheumatoid arthritis to zero. In the past, I tried a combination of curcumin and ginger as recommended on Dr. Weil's (sp?) web site. After using this for 8 weeks, I gave up as I saw absolutely no difference. The effect of curcumin must be much milder than the anti-inflammatory effect of Anatabloc. For me, Anatabloc worked, curcumin did not.

Although I'm not sure what the "correct" price should be, I think that Anatabloc's value proposition is.
1. It works. In the past I have tried numerous vitamins, minerals and nutricueuticals for a thyroid problem and for rheumatoid arthritis and none of them made one bit of difference.
2. It save me money. I weight ~170lbs and have seen a dramatic improvement by taking 6 pills/day. At $79.99/bottle of 300 (why would anyone pay more?) this works out to be $0.267/pill or $47.99 per 30 days. This is much cheaper than doctor's visits and multiple medications with side effects.
I would not like to see the cost of Anatabloc in the $10.00 to $20.00 range like a lot of nutriceuticals being sold for the simple reason the Anatabloc works and other nutriceuticals are of minimal to no benefit.

I realize that the Master Tournament is over and that Fred Couples didn't come in first but I did hear an interesting comment on the Geri (sp?) Willis show on Saturday that had a bit of coverage of the event. She was interviewing Matt Adams who is the Sirius/XM announcer/commentator of the Master's and on the topic of Fred Couples, he came out with the comment:
"Fred has somehow tapped into the fountain of youth. Here is a man who won the Master's in 1992, tied for the lead at 5 under. I think for Freddie its up to his back and how it holds up over the coming days but so far it doesn't seem to be a problem."
I went to a GNC store in Loveland, CO on Sunday and the salesperson said that the sales of Anatabloc has picked up significantly recently but he had no quantitative data and there were 9 bottle of the 300 count on the shelf. He was enthusiastic about the product but not too knowledgeable and he was mostly "quoting" to customers from a conversation that I had with him several months ago. I sent him a paper with URL's from various sites(including GNC) that covered testimonials, info about NF-kB, some testing results. He should now be able to describe the product, what it might be used for, and results that other people have seen. He also stated that he sees two main barriers to more sales in that store:
1. High price
2. People's experience with OTC products that didn't work for them in the past.
Question About the Anatabloc Facial Creme
Does anyone know if the Anatabloc Facial creme has any perfume or fragrance in it? My wife has had bad reactions in the past with facial cremes that contained fragrances.
Thanks Dinosaur. I haven't looked at the web site for a number of months now. I would rather order directly from Star just because this has a higher profit margin for the company.
Comet,
One factor that might be at work here is the change from bottles of Anatabloc with 200 pills to bottles with 300 pills. I've gone from taking 6 per day to 9 per day and I've seen no additional benefit. The same thing goes for my wife. I'm going to stop my monthly order from Star and start getting my Anatabloc from GNC. When I go back to 6/day, a bottle will last me 6 weeks instead of 4 weeks and the only difference in price is the Colorado/Larimer/Ft. Collins sales tax.
I do have one piece of anecdotal information about Anatabloc's effect on the pituitary gland. I started taking Anatabloc on 7 Oct., 2011 after reading some speculation that it might help thyroid issues. I have secondary hypothyroidism which is really an issue in which the pituitary gland doesn't create enough TSH. I had this ugly vision of a future in which I would be on one or more (pan-hypopituitarism) hormones for the rest of my life so I figured that I had nothing to lose.
Within the first month the overwhelming fatigue was greatly reduced and I no longer felt extremely cold all of the time. The fatigue continued to decrease over the next year and now I feel really good. Quantitatively, my TSH level on 23 Sept, 2011 was 0.30 uIU/mL and on 31 Jan, 2012 it was 2.8 uIU/mL, an increase by better than a factor of 9 and this put my new TSH level right in the middle of normal range.
I did experience two "side effects". First, my PSA score over that same 4 month period went from 1.3 ng/mL to 0.6 ng/mL. Ever since I started having annual blood tests in 2005, my PSA score has crept up every year starting at 0.45 ng/mL in 2005 to 1.3 ng/mL in 2011.
The second "side effect" is that the rheumatoid arthritis in my hands no longer hurts. Besides the lack of redness and inflamation in all of finger joints, the one which is already misshapen and pretty much useless no longer hurts at all.
