They feel they don't owe Vringo a dime, they have extremely deep pockets, they have openly stated their disdain for patent trolls, they don't want to have to open up their books and they damn sure don't want to pay an ongoing royalty every quarter for the next 3 years. Why wouldn't they appeal?
And they have eluded to several points of contention on which they will appeal in their final replies to opp briefs. I don't have the time to repost them, but you can look through them on Justia.com
You know what though.... With this turd, until JJ polishes it I say vent away. Better here than take it home with you. There's nothing to say that hasn't already been beaten to death. So what's left is drama and pontification. Such is our lives pre-JJ
What.... You missed real housewives of Vringo last night?
Got it... Thanks buddy and happy birthday. Take it easy on the NyQuil and stay away from water, fish piss in it.
Actually I just read your post again and I think I misinterpreted what you said. Disregard. He drafted it already, not it is a standard Madlibs style "fill in the appropriate numbers here" form
JJ, you wrote:
"Most of the Court's Orders, IMO, have been drafted for some time. MY GUESS is that the only holdup is the Judge putting HIS final changes on them."
Is this commonplace in a federal court? Or can it give rise to issues later in appeal? (Or is this a moot point since neither party would be behind the scenes to see what was pre-drafted). TIA
You still thinking 7?
I have a hard time believing we get that spike everyone is anticipating without 822 though. Hopefully I'm wrong
One can only hope
Hump day, birthday, vino on tap.... JJ-damus is due for the grand prophecy.
This thing is not controlled by us any more J, the only thing that saves this is a ruling. I just want one update from the company that says "hey.... We actually produced revenue guys"
We still have no revenue to announce.... Our situation hasn't changed. More irons on the fire is nice and all, but the market doesn't care about potential until you have shown that you can turn it into a significant payout at least once.
Buddy.... I'm hoping you prove me wrong.
For a company trading at $2.90 and a market cap of <300MM? Nobody, that's who. $7 max near-term. Maybe double digits in 1-2 years IF they can monetize further.... But this stock doesn't command the pipe dreams it once warranted 6 months ago.
Very well said.... Many share your sentiment
It's corp rev vs American rev where the patents apply
I wasn't aware of any warrants issued
Couldn't agree more.
Ill take slow all day.... It's that whole reverse thing that bothers me
You're always welcome to the party brotha.... It's year around down here. I believe we here something very soon. I said to myself last week that today would be the day. We shall see. JJ can't just not rule
Sigh....
Wrong case.... They referenced the AAPL case, which is also ongoing, but FWIW
Please just say you see this hitting $3.50 tomorrow JJdamus
I have to believe a little of both, with computers feeding off of overreaction and vis versa... Until we get this result. Tomorrow is another day
You need to read up friend. Your assumptions are not factual.
The jury may have suggested a running royalty of 3.5 of 20.9, but the judge is the only one who makes that call. So far we have $30MM....and even that can be changed.
BTW.... For all the DR haters, he was heavy in VHC too
"Conversely, there are facts and logic to support the contention that judge is not being silent because of potential "talks". These include the code of judicial conduct, the rules and procedures of the court pre- and post-verdict, the history of patent infringement disputes, and -most importantly- the historical context of the actual case up until this point in time."
.....and JUDICIAL ECONOMY
Should be fun. Just hope I'm on the right side of the trade when the judge throws an inevitable curve ball. It does and will happen. Just need to be ready. Cheers to making money.
This is where the stock becomes a whole new animal. With each new motion comes violent swings and exciting new opportunities. I enjoy the rush once again that you get from the tension that builds up from a newborn patent play like this. There is a LOT of money to be made from this point forward.
When is JJ gonna send up white smoke? Or Vringo for that matter. Ill take a tweet at this point...anything
What is going on? No new pacer.... So what just happened. I almost ran off the road
The twinkly is patented along with its ingredients.... That would be a law suit
I'd love to see it. Would be a fun year in SoFlo
No clue kitty.... That's the $1 billion dollar question.
*filed
Once judge rules on all outstanding and field motions he will set the deadline for 822.... Which will be the final judgement.... Eventually
Don't threaten ME with a good time.... I'm all in
Well he has seemed to pass out and hit the deck lately..... Too soon?
I'm on the side of hoping he doesn't reinvent the wheel.... Leave the trail blazing to teenagers, rappers and trust fund babies. I'd like good 'ol boring judgement and money in the bank. We shall see soon enough
No complaints here... Hope this holds true
