Maybe round three for the shorts -
Are we all twittling our thumbs ?
Agree with this totally -
These RTO firms who are on the top 10 list will need to go to supper human lengths now to show day in and day out that they are not frauds – crazy stuff that firms their size in the US do not need to do
That's why bullmarkets post (below) of his email to Jacky is so on the money. Extrodinary actions, above and beyond a normal company, are required:
Here is the sum and substance of today's e-mail to Jacky:
Jacky:
Happy Chinese New Year.
Please give shareholders like me more tools and support:
1) ***Buy Back Shares.
2) Hire US -Based Ad Firm/PR firm at any expense (film buses, make website phenomenal).
3) Get business partners to acknowledge and praise CCME as a partner.
4) Fire EquityNY and get a new IR Firm.
5) Put all television programming on the Internet including commercials.
6) Translate website perfectly and improve web presence. CCME was attacked online. Online defenses are what's needed.
7) Show how operations work online in demonstration videos.
8) Interviews with passengers and bus drivers, translated put on line.
9) Hire a law firm to sue Muddy Waters and Citron for libel and fraud.
10) Hire a Washington DC Law Firm to Lobby the SEC to investigate.
11) Hire a New York law firm to Lobby the Attorney General of NY Securities Fraud Division to investigate.
12) Hire a top PR firm to publish press that attacks the shorts for defrauding CCME investors with falsehoods and lies.
You have cash, no debt, and earnings. Now you need the perception of legitimacy. Money talks. This will all cost millions of dollars. It's worth hundreds of millions in market cap.
Thank you,
Andrew

Sure hope this is institutions loading up -
CCME 12.29 20,000
WOW - 12.29 , 20,000
Do you think the vast majority of shorts have covered? Anf if not, why not? After all, if the company response is comprehensive, what good would a hit piece be to just restate everything?
CGDI - Gee, they might file next year.
Company saying a response is comming soon -
is like Citron saying #2 coming soon. Everyone is in a waiting mode. I expext a Mondy PR and this current price run to go to $13 by EOD.
CCME - Has this been posted?
CCME a strong buy after investors get crushed
http://www.paid2trade.com/?p=2641
Lostem - Just an idea about the buyback not having that big of an impact, and maybe I'm inexperienced, but I've checked and I don't think I'm an idiot. BTW, I generally respect your post.
A buy back might generate 2 1/2M shares and a $2.00 price rise. However, with the recent selling the shorts have lots of shares to borrow and look at the 20M shares traded today. A buyback would be lost in the noise.
I didn't send an email, however -
I'm sure many did as they just can't restrain themselves considering the situation. it won't take 30 seconds each to evaluate them and use the best of the best ideas. I only hope they consider all of Andrews' recommendations.
As for my idea, I'm sure it would be rejected as it is inappropriate as I stated. Too far out of the norm. After all if they don't believe Deloite now they never would believe anything.
Andrew, I like yours and for now I'm too shaken to construct one better except for this:
Totally inappropriate but - What might help is to announce a 'special audit' of bank accounts by Deloite with the oversight of one other respected audit agnecy. And all of this prior to the 10K.
Agree - A cash confirmation -
As I posted earlier:
"Totally inappropriate but - What might help is to announce a 'special audit' of bank accounts by Deloite with the oversight of one other respected audit agnecy. And all of this prior to the 10K. "
Plus Andrews post # 13850. Be sure and read it.
Andrew - email to Jacky, GREAT !
Thanks about trading -
I was just reading the NASDAQ retail data: "Investors may trade in the Pre-Market (8:00-9:30 a.m. ET) and the After Hours Market (4:00-6:30 p.m. ET."
Thanks. Foolishly only believed what I read. Need to learn a lot.
This from the NASDAQ site confused me:
"Investors may trade in the Pre-Market (8:00-9:30 a.m. ET) and the After Hours Market (4:00-6:30 p.m. ET."
Thought AH trading went to 6:30?
What's up?
Thought A H trading went to 6:30? Are we now into 24 hr. trading?
Totally inappropriate but - What might help is to announce a 'special audit' of bank accounts by Deloite with the oversight of one other respected audit agnecy. And all of this prior to the 10K.
I'm confident that those big investors that email Jacky are providing all of their best advise and I'm also sure it is good advice on this 'situation'. However, severe damage has been done and time as well as company responses is needed to repair it. Some of the best ideas are dificult to execute such as support from major Wall Street firms that may even already own shares. So, you 'big guys' keep it up. We have confidence in you assistance.
a $30m buyback might result in 2 1/2M shares. 20M traded today. So.
Be best for Deloite to sue Citron and Muddy.
Unfortunate part, as much as I have lost, I can't think of anywhere to put my money to get a significant part back. I'm afraid CCME is it.
Shorts - some covering, some still shorting.
I think the shorts don't beleive that a good response can be developed by tomorrow.
Also expect on more gasp down.
CNBC just announced the hit on CCME
Rames on CGS opines that the only worthy response by the company would be support from GS, CITI, or MS but I think that need to offer them a boatload of shares and that will take some time.
Predict the SEC will investigate in 2013.
CCME - Exactly right, pay to play. Give them a handfull of shares.
Ijust keep thinking of how many shares they have to borrow tomorrow and today if they have fast fingers.
Think of all the shares they have to play with now.
You must be kidding
Since some of thatdata is seems new, think it will appear in a PR? Except PRs cost money and it is the holidays.
Help me please experts -
Went to Pheonix today and missed the non-action.
So off the Regsho list, saw that last night.
1. Means that they got below the failure to deliver threshold but could get back on and we start over. Comment please?
2. But still a high level of naked shorts and 'legal' shorts out there. Maybe 3-4M shares. Comment?
3. So shorts now have flexibility and time to play their games since the deadline is off. Comment?
4. We don't know at what levels the remaing shorts reside (I"m guessing an average right at this level), but likely they will again be in trouble if the price gets again toward $20. Comment?
5. And today it looks like they took a breather and most activity was daytraders.
Thanks in advance.
And now for something new:
CCME: new article by Gil Morales, of the Gilmor report:
News for 'CCME' - (DJ MARKETWATCH VIEW: Evaluating Hot Chinese Stocks Dangdang, China MediaExpress)
By Gil Morales and Chris Kacher
A DOW JONES COLUMN
China recently passed Japan as the world's No. 2 economy, and it is likely it will also surpass the U.S. at some point in the near future.
The expansion in China's economy is also clearly reflected in the performance of its stock markets, which have done well in the New Millennium's initial 2001-2010 decade.
Now, given the present global outlook, it seems likely the growth curve for both will remain robust for many years--if not decades.
Of course, as in any developing economy, there will be some hiccups along the way, but each hiccup will likely see China's economy and its markets re-emerge even stronger --much as the U.S. economy and markets have done for nearly 250 years. As has also been the case throughout U.S. history, China's continuing growth will be bolstered by the steady emergence of new industries and new companies, providing fresh fodder for investors to feast on through many market cycles.
China MediaExpress Holdings Inc.
"Cheap" Chinese stocks--those selling at low prices equivalent to five or 10 times earnings--are often suspect as potentially fraudulent. However, individual investors might find China MediaExpress Holdings Inc. (CCME) worth a look, if only because recent data indicate several institutional investors have done their due diligence and are beginning to take positions in the stock.
Such votes of confidence from large institutional investors--accompanied by the commitment of their investment dollars--are often a highly constructive sign for new or emerging companies.
In addition to increasing institutional interest, China MediaExpress also has a strong business model. Far more Chinese workers commute on public transit than do Americans, and CCME's advertising services are currently featured on about 25,000 buses, with another 10,000 due to be added over the next few years.
The company is also taking advantage of its position in the bus-advertising market to steer customers to ads on CCME's company-operated Web portal. Clients can run ads on the site, as well as in a soon-to-be-launched magazine, and customers can respond to these ads by placing orders online.
CCME was recently ranked No. 1 in the Forbes China 200 survey. This list features small- to mid-sized Chinese companies considered to have the most potential based on various metrics, including three-year weighted average revenue growth rates, return on assets, return on equity and operating margins. Over the past five quarters, China MediaExpress has increased earnings at rates of 87%, 44%, 50%, 100%, and 45%, respectively, while revenue has risen by 66%, 91%, 137%, 180% and 118%, respectively.
Based on recent chart patterns, the stock looks poised to break out to new highs above the $20 to $22 price level, and we would view it as a buy within its current trading range

Many things going on IMHO:
This has become a daytraders dream for most of the action.
Institutions action frozen except for some selling.
Shorts playing to the degree they can with real borrowed shares.
Naked shorting continuing and scared to death.
Little or no real short covering.
Shorts afraid that today may be green.
Friday is day 13 as I recall.
I would want more from the CCME response -
And maybe there will be a follow on when 'part 2' hits.
Just:
Confirm the dividend and a date to announce specifics.
Clarify tour busses.
Comment on initial magazine results.
Note that it is #6 ad company in revenues.
Mention the major advertisers.
No need to pre-announce earnings estimates.
