Anyone think PNRA is a good short here?
OT to Pinhi
Thanks for the response. I thought that I was in the right place. I recall back in the good old investing days reading the exchanges between you and Volt over on SI about getting together in Cashiers to play golf. I figure a guy with your handle might be pretty avid. I did bookmark your business for a future reference in case I ever wanted to rent a place in the area and don't get invited back to our friends place on Wildcat GC. We were in Cashiers to go on a hike on a trail that led to a cool water fall and pond, eat at Cornucopia and shop at Rusticks. Man, what a place. I do hope to get back there some day. I would have emailed you at your business, but didn't know about any privacy issues.
Take care and here's to better markets down the road!

Did you get my PM on 8/22? Wasn't sure if it worked or not and hadn't heard back.
RR, wow just checked this site for the heck of it and see you posted. I follow you guys on SI big time! Thought this site would never have any activity, but glad to see it's still a backup. Never got in on SI back in the free days. Call me cheap.
I bought 1000 ENE at .41 for the fun of it. Looks good so far. May cash out soon, cause I was just looking for a quicky, but you never know.
Love your attitude and thanks for posting.
P.S. By the way if Dealer sees this, I was the last person to post back in July and I did walk into Pinhi's office, but He was not there. (Went to the Hardware store across the parking lot.) Awesome town! and Awesome Area! Played Wildcat and it was great! Hope to get back to Highlands some day. (Would not mind if you post this on SI so Dealer and Pinhi could see this...Thanks.)
Boy this is reaching and this board has been pretty dead. Dealer if you get this, please pass to pinhi. I'm at Wildcat Country Club and looking for a game tomorrow afternoon the 19th. I tried calling him at the number in the phone book this morning asking for pinhi, but the girl who answered did not know what I was talking about and respected that it might be a privacy thing. So it'd be cool to meat him if possible. Maybe in Cashiers in the morning and will stop by. Thanks a million!
Love ya,
Duke
Thanks. Amazing difference between the daily and intraday charts. Daily looks like a potential reversal, yet intradays look sick. Thanks, I forget to look at those.
Hey V, what do you think about IRF?

or this: have you ever used this site?

Thanks in advance. You folks have been having some unbelievable dialog here. Keep it up. I enjoy the reading.
May I throw one in for the fun of it? BLDP http://www.askresearch.com/cgi-bin/chart?symbol=BLDP&exchange=USA&size=640x480&months=12...
I've owned this one for a long time. Chart is ugly right now, but may be in for a rebound.
Company report courtesy of MSN Money Central:
"Ballard Power Systems envisions gas-guzzlers going the way of the Edsel. The firm makes emission-free proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells and fuel cell systems designed to be quiet, efficient alternatives to internal combustion engines. The stacked, thin, floor-tile-sized cells generate electricity by combining hydrogen fuel (natural gas, methanol, or petroleum) with oxygen, leaving only water and heat as by-products. Ballard also applies its technologies in buses, in stationary fuel cell power plants, and in portable applications for emergency and recreational use. The US, Japan, and Germany account for 93% of Ballard's fuel cell sales. DaimlerChrysler and Ford own 19% and 14% of Ballard, respectively."
Wow! That's what I was looking for. I've used that site for a couple of years and didn't know that part of it or a least forgot about it. Thanks. That's what I was looking for http://www2.barchart.com/sectors.asp?sec=REIT~-~DIVERSIFIED.sec&title=REIT+%2d+DIVERSIFIED
I'm glad I found this board! Thanks to dealer.
Thanks to both of you. I did check it out and its there. Now just how to narrow it down. There were over 250 hits.
<would be glad to run a real estate scan for you if you show me a location where I can find a pool of tickers that meet that description, "real estate" stocks.>
That's the problem, I can't seem to find a group either. Of course I've only given it a courtsey look. Need to dig deeper. Thanks, I was hoping you or someone else here knew of a pool off the top of their head and additionally a good short candidate.
Thanks!
Vendit, etal: What real estate stocks would you consider shorting if you were to pick a couple?
Why I ask? It's the only sector that hasn't come off its top yet and I feel that it will be next. I've heard too many comments about how its getting weeker around my area. Starting to hear of builders having cancellations on them, but mostly for sale signs are staying up longer. Folks starting to have to sell, new developments put on hold, etc etc. A ripple down effect of the equity calapse.
TIA
Hey, what's all this green crap on my screen?
Vendit, if you have the time, can you look at PRST.

I've been a long time holder of this and am looking at increasing my position or making mostlikely a quick trade on it. Stochastics rising. Do you think a third bounce on the Williams from 50 to say 30? Seems to be some kind of pattern.
Man, I'm a complete novice in this TA. I'm trying hard to learn more and more and have found your teachings incredible as well as many others here, on SI and Yahoo. I'm trying to develop my own TA style if that makes sense.
Continuously learning,
Thanks
"Also I am getting tired of losing on buying calls and puts (yes I even have losses on puts!!!!)..."
I hear ya freeus. I tried a play on BEAS earnings anouncement last week by buying a put and what happened? After hours it tanked as expected only to open the next day unchanged and then up at the end of the day! I figured every stock has been tanking with good or bad reports. Sometimes ya just can't win. Sometimes I think the best thing to do when you don't know what to do, is do nothing. Problem is for me, I haven't known what to do for about a year now <g>. Sad, very sad.
Bottom 2071?
Well forget that last question. How about 2165?
This is just craziness!!! I think the only person that can save us is Greenspan at this point. A lot a talk about him stepping in.
Thanks
Here's hoping I don't have to keep revising my question with a lower bottom.
Do you think 2178 was it?

Thanks for the insight. I allways enjoy your posts over at SI. Take care and lets pray this market returns to an upward trend.
BTW, hope all the SI folks check in over here from time to time to check in on us lurkers. I most certainly am reluctant to buy a membership over there now that their future is questionable. Lot of good folks over there. Been lurking fo about a year now. Feel like I know'm personally. Let of Texans as well (self included).
Take Care.
Hi Dealer,
Have been a follower of the Porch for a year now. I believe I have read about or scanned at least 95% of the posts over there. You have done a great job and I thank you for it. I have not signed up with SI mainly do to my own principles and am generally just a lurker although it feels as if I know each and everyone of you personally. Maybe someday I'll join, but for now am on the porch next door, drinking my icetea and listening. Boy my neck is getting sore from stretching it so much.
Thanks!
