Howdy jpg! The one yesterday was a little one. Ended up maybe 15 miles away, south of me. Damage limited to a car dealership but it was $15 million worth!
The one a couple of weeks ago that I also wrote about was only about 3 miles north of me. It caused huge destruction. A wonder nobody got killed in that one. Lots of homes destroyed. 160 mph. That one was close. Stayed on the ground 6 or 7 miles.
Good to see you ventured over here. Was wondering if I could raise anyone.
RR
Damage reports now coming in. Yep, it touched down.
Murrey, I was just typing the above and the power went off for a few minutes. Had to retype this.
Raining here now. Watching it via live cam on top of the office buildings down in the city. Coming my way now but should track about 3 miles east.
Think I'll go watch the sky here now.
RR
Murrey, just a few minutes after I finished the last post to you about the tornados, the sirens went off in the city with a funnel on the ground. Looks like it will track south of the homestead about 10 miles but there is a second line behind it that looks to be coming more our way.
Whew..... tornado alley.
I know I've mentioned to the SI Porch in the past that several years ago, a tornado blew away the second floor of our home here. They love this ridge line.
Just went out on the deck and looked. Nasty cloud. I can see it now 26 miles away in the city. Too far away to see a funnel, but a nasty low wall cloud.

jpgill, I view those bumps in the road as challenges. You don't learn those kinds of things from the books.
There's no substitute for experience.
How ones deals with adversity and overcomes those challenges is essential to success.
It starts with having the proper attitude, which includes that confidence you mentioned. A powerful point in my view.
Take care....
Rick
BTW, jpgill, on the business, glad you are expanding and doing great.
That's super!
You know there will be bumps along the way, but if you have a good plan, a good model, execute it, yet be flexible when warranted, hey, stay the course and move forward.
Those glitches that come along, well, just bumps in the road, just bumps in the road....
Rick
Murrey, well, I guess it depends on your time frame, too.
I have not followed BEAS as closely in recent months as I use to, but I think it will be a good one long term if you add a bit a long the ways.
But, in this market, when you're not sure, those stops are critical to preserve capital. The swings have been huge on some of these issues, Murrey.

Hi Murrey:
I see the weather on the map. Hope all is well back home.
Family is in our place in Colo. Sent them out there awhile back and I'm in D.C.
Will have to check with the house sitter.
We live in toronado alley. Second level of house was blown away by one years ago. Could tell lots of those kinds of stories.
So, anytime we're away and see there's weather in the area, we perk up.
Maybe SI be back up soon.
How ya doin' Champ?
Rick
Hi Dealer!
Thought I'd try this site again when SI was acting up the other day. Figured you would eventually check here again sometime.
Waiting on the bull.... well, we have been in a solid channel for about 10 weeks. Looks good. But, realistically, there is still a lot of ground to cover with the economy.
The economy is getting better, but I think we're still 6-9 months away from getting the stonger news and more positive comments we need from businesses. Execs are still speculative as to the recovery, and their guidance comments are very cautious.
You are doing the right thing. Wait until you feel it is time.
Nothing wrong at all being cautious. That's smart.
Take care, Dealer.
