Yup, what do you want to know? back at my average @ 2.74...Guess I'll ride it out.
Haha Yes I am sure that on the outside you are probably thinking what the hell? Sure I do try to invest at the bottom and ride it out and then put those profits into ETFs.
GLBL I bought into because as it dropped to under 2$ I couldn't resist. More so I invest based on balance sheet/income statements. GLBL has contracts for the next 10 years and I was actually betting on SUNE being bankrupt. The good news is...GLBL is better on its own. And that's why it is now over 3$. I did sell my shares at 3.05$ :)
CPLP has a really fantastic balance sheet with a great dividend. The market came down hard on them for 1) being an MLP (however they are profitable and provide 1099s 2) charter vessels to Hyundai. Take a look at their income statement/balance sheet and dividend history. All fantastic. I rolled over some cash into them and I am averaged now at 2.98$. My biggest fear with them is they decide to go private. Check em out, I have no doubt they will break 4$ veryyy soon. They should meet/beat EPS this quarter as well.
I'll take a look at what you said, I just want to make sure it passes my DD. I like companies that have a big upside, strong balance sheet, and have have income almost guaranteed. This is why I liked DNR. Plus O & G is never going to stay at <40$ forever, and DNR was built to survive a downturn due to their management.
No worries, CPLP has been good, and GLBL has been really great too. Congrats on holding. :)
Congrats to all who profited. Nothing wrong with that. Just got a little too expensive for my taste right not... Hopefully we see a little retrace and I can get in again. However, still looks bullish...
Some manipulation. Hahah. Who would of thought in the future we would have too much oil? It'll head back down I think soon enough. Until I hit a mark...I'll keep an eye on it.

Looks like it is over...should see oil start to tumble.
Yeah the stocks I am in now are green, but that doesn't mean I am batting 100%, had some losses with ETE / SGY.
Always good to have a win once in awhile!
My current holdings are
GLBL (Bought in @1.98)
VRX (bought in at 30.2)
XOP (bought in at 28.1)
CPLP (Bought in average of 2.8$)
It is nice to see green.
Might be a good idea...I'm still holding off. I might close a position on GLBL I have and go in on DNR...I still believe we are oversupplied and Kuwait and Russia are increasing production. I smell manipulation... I'm still a little weary...
Kuwait boosting oil production...

So strange...Guess I should of bought in this morning for 2.79. But won't cry over that. Scratching my head over here...Still think this will drop this week.
Well, Plan this weeks is to watch....until late this week if I can get a fill under 2.2$. Might Play DWTI for a few days as a selloff will happen. I know their is a strike in Kuwait but they have plenty of reserves that they will sell. In the short term it doesn't matter...Sure the timing was definitely orchestrated bc of the no agreement. Let's not forget, Kuwait is producing 3m barrels a day so Iran right now is producing 2.xx million barrels a day. It is basically a wash once Iran starts producing more. Again, I don't think this strike will last more than a month. JMO
As I assumed it wouldn't...I am ALMOST tempted to buy DWTI for this week too....But glad we sold when we did!

And there you all go. :) I'll be buying under $2.1
Looks Like I made the right call, I think we will be stuck 2.9-3.3 until friday...It goes on that meeting Sunday. See ya guys Monday, hopefully we will have some clarity.
Personally, there is no substance to the rally. I really think that (once again) we will see nothing get resolved. It only takes one country to mess it up. I will be a buyer after, but I think there is massive downside and we could retract back into the 2s. To be honest, I just don't feel very confident in SA and Russia...that is just me though. I'll re-position myself after there is some clarity. :)
Probably won't get there by friday. Might go to under 3, to about 2.9x....
Ballsy to short an oil stock being so volatile.....hope you cover before friday.
Sold @ 3.18. Profit of about 50% roughly. I will be back in within a couple weeks. I'll be around to monitor the board, Don't trust the meeting Sunday. Think we are going to see oil slip back once everyone realizes that they are basically freezing production at already high levels and once Iran ramps up production we are going to see oil fall. True, they want to keep oil prices high, but if they do that they let the shale players come right back into the market. All very volatile. Long term I feel oil is a good investment, but for the short term there are A LOT of question marks.
DNR is built to survive this and I believe they will, However, These times are great to profit and re-enter lower. JMO.
Yeah, I did see CHK got Credit to keep them alive till 2017. Crazy stuff happening lately. But I can't trust SA/Russia...Iran isn't even producing at 4m barrels, i think they are around 2m. I'll pull out profits and keep an eye out by friday. Tomorrow should be a good day to sell though, we will def see some green if the report comes out and there are less Rigs around. GL.
I am going to sell this if we reach 3.6$. That will be over a 70% gain for me which is fantastic. I really have a bad feeling about this meeting...usually these oil meetings don't go as planned. JMO....
Tomorrow it should rise as well...But I would see a pullback sooner than later. Iran still needs to hit the output of 4m so that will make up for the other oil producers stopping production. Will wait and see.
Another reason I like Denbury though. They don't Frack...so no lawsuits to worry about. I don't think it will walk down, Like I said, I don't think we close above 3. I think we see a small decline but end up closing around 2.85-2.9. Tomorrow we should touch above 3$.
I am damn near close with that 3$ mark today...Should get some steam and touch. Hoping we close above 3$ but I am skeptical. Looks like I was pretty accurate once again ;) haha
Honestly...This one is tough to call. Classic run up last time to he Opec meeting because fundamentally nothing changed. Easier to call...This one is a little different. I think I will buy some more at somepoint today, but since Oil is trading at the highest this year, we could see a break of 3$ today. Who knows, Like I said if it hits 3.5$ I will sell at re position with more shares. GLTY. Should be an interesting day
Nah. Why would I? Long term man. All these are mostly free shares anyway since I rode it form 1.03$ - 3.50. Long term mind. If this does reach 3.5$ by Friday...then I'll sell because it shouldn't get that high then it will retract. But for now...I'm just going to sit.
Looks like it is going to be a GREAT day if you held. :)
Haha no no, I did not graduate from OSU, although a lot of my friends did. I got a scholarship from Akron that I couldn't refuse and I decided to go there. I actually was just in Dallas a month ago and do I envy that weather. So nice...but glad you stuck with the same company. It's a very rare thing these days...
I actually just recently graduated college with a Finance Degree. Not that I have much in my 401k yet (in there I invest in etfs...) As extra cash I invest in certain stocks that I think over the long run will be good. I am betting on an oil recovery sometime in the future, and on my own personal account I mostly have energy stocks. Good on you for the college funds, my parents set up a 529 for me and I come out will no debt which is great. Lucky you for having nice weather in Houston, up in Ohio...it sucks. Going to snow. Hopefully DNR makes me enough $ to afford a Water Toy soon. Hahah
I agree. Denbury will be fine in the long term. Exactly why I have my $ in them. I don't like how much debt they have, but it isn't due until 2021, so by that time I am betting on an oil recovery to 60$. I do buy and sell from time to time, but that is just to add shares at cheap prices.
We will be close, I want to close around 2.4. I Although I want to buy more shares around 2$ I can live with this... Like i said, we should hit 2.5$ soon
No worries. Glad you got some profits. I'm sure we will retest 2 again sometime soon.
Yes. I added some more at under 2$ yesterday. My average is around 2.03. Leading up, I think we will hit around 2.5+$ by next week. You can look at the history of my comments here, I have been pretty spot on...but again who knows what could happen.
;) Listen to me man...I'm glad i convinced you to stay
Uhhh?? What are you talking about? YOU should double check your chart...GLBL IPO'd in 2015 so there isn't even a 3 year chart? It is a downward trend because it is associated with SUNE, and they even sued them because of the misuse of their cash. Once they aren't just a yieldco of SUNE they'll be well off.
We are going to bounce between 2-2.75...This is really a great stock to mirror the crude oil prices. We have a good support at 2$.
Yup. No need to panic. I don't plan to sell these shares for a while. I'll add more under 2$.
Best thing is to split from SUNE. It will be rough, but I see a better outcome for GLBL if they split from their parent company. They also need to need to get a SOLID BOD and CEO that have not been involved in the SUNE mess...
Nothing wrong with taking a profit. I am under 2$ and have not too many shares but I will hold. I think they are positioned well. They may dip again, but over the long haul...they will be fine.
Best thing...look at their revolver of credit. Over 1.5B with only 200m Drawn. That's fantastic. Also...with how low they can cut their CAPEX and basically go down a little in revenue is fantastic. Something that is unique in the oil industry.
