Not impressed with LL response about short sellers. More appropriate response would have been that we take all safety claims made seriously and are working with authorities to determine any safety concerns at this time. Until this is resolved, the type of product at issue will not be sold. This should be clearly stated on its website.
IMHO, LL is setting themselves up saying there is not an issue at all. If there is an issue that is confirmed by federal agencies, then LL is going to have serious problems with maintaining trust as a brand.
My 2 cents.
Great opportunity to bring the jobs in China back to North America.
Yahoo urging Apple to ditch Google as default for Safari.
This would be GIANT news if happens.

See link below. Yahoo! and Mozilla, the deal could be a very big deal for Yahoo! According to article, it could lead to an increase of $11 per share in value over the next few months.

Interesting @mcuban: @lakersman2006 I'm thrilled with the assault on patents I'm ok with vrng going to 0.
According to MarketWatch, if Alipay has an IPO, it could mean more billions for Yahoo. In 2011, Yahoo, SoftBank, and others reached an agreement that said Yahoo and Softbank will get a one-off cash payment equaling 37.5% of the capital Alipay raises when it lists. The payment cannot exceed $6 billion or be less than $2 billion.
Thanks for sharing article. Great stuff.
My prediction will drop below 52 low by next week. Jumped out of stock. Too volatile. May jump Back in future. Not sure what will keep stock from not collapsing. No real revenue or significant $$$ licensing deals. Google has taught the others how to play Vringo. Unfortunate. I thought Vringo was the real deal with bright future. Now not sure.
9 million in 5 years. Impressive.
I like where the article says.....
"....but have more respect for the strategic thinking of the whole abusive patent assertion industry, which undoubtedly would need to offer Vringo money to not risk setting a precedent at a higher court that would be unfavorable to all patent trolls."
Very interesting.
Ken Lang (inventor of what Google took from him with no compensation) hang in there. Hopefully, justice will be served.
If the appeal reverses (en bank or supremes), this stock will explode in price. Looking forward to the shorts helping bring price down to .50 or lower, so I can load up more. It has been fun ride with Vringo over the years. They did not get this far by not doing there homework. With all the twist and the turns, what will happen next. Stay tuned!!!!
Comes out at .81 cents
Vringo has been expecting to get a lot of $$ for a long while. Until they actually get big $$$ in the money or buys/builds a company with a decent revenue stream, PPS will linger and hover in high 3's and low 4's for a while longer. So far, most of there settlements/agreements have been smaller dollar amounts.
Back to Groundhog Day. Same old same.
Conflict of interest.
If it goes under 4.25. Will be loading up. If Vringo wins the google appeal or settlement or vringo buyout or other multiple settlements from other litigation, this has the potential to be a multiple banger quickly. As mentioned in another post, this is a one of those once in a lifetime opportunities that you read in business school.
Vringo should take 1/2 of what they are asking for and move on. Time value of money. Better to have a bird on the hand, than two in the bushes.
Groundhog Day at Vringo again. Same old story, no actual delivery on getting actual real $$$ from infringers or actual building a business with real $$$ on a regular basis. Surprised stock is still at around $3.
Google is making a mockery of the patent system. Where possible, I avoid any Google products.
Hopefully, Vringo turns it around!!! Sorry for posting so negative.
Microsoft and Nokia should just go ahead and buy Vringo should just buy out Vringo. Get if over with. IMHO, Vringo is becoming the attack dog for Microsoft anyway. The settlement deal with Microsoft for a percentage of what Google settles for was a odd deal.
The stock price of vringo lays in the hands of one man. Not a good business plan. Vringo needs an actual business that generates regular profits and revenues. They have tons of cash. Why would they not buy a smaller technology start up it other pre-IPO companies?

Sorry wrong stock. Go Yahoo!!!

I bought safeway and vringo stock at the same time about a year ago. Safeway is up 95 percent. Vringo is down 9 percent. Vringo is becoming a big disappointment. I do not want the Vringo is doing or thinking. At this point I want like go see them just sell the company. Google and other big players appear to be too much for Vringo management to handle.
They need settlements and licensing deals. Not continued lawsuits.
Vringo is becoming all hat and no cattle.
JJ, you look very scholarly with your new suit picture.
Google needs to pay the Troll Toll. This is the cost of doing business and how it works in America. It is Google's own fault. They could have bought Lang's patents cheap several years ago. They gambled and lost. Now pay.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- Google's attorneys say their long-running practice of electronically scanning the contents of people's Gmail accounts to help sell ads is legal, and are asking a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit that seeks to stop the practice.

Google should try the Bing search. It may work better finding the W/O documents.
It is funny. Google says we have 15 lawyers working hard on this. What are they doing? They cannot find there own emails related to a major change in how Google operations. It is pathetic.
Why is it so hard for Google to find emails from technical subject matter experts within Google related to implementing the work around? I thought Google was the best information search company in the world.
This case is simple. Google got caught using something that did not belong to them and did not pay for it. Just pay for it and settle the case. Why is it so hard for Google to do the right thing? Make the relationship a win-win for both Vringo and Google. Try going to grocery store and taking something without paying for it. You would go to jail doing this. The judge really needs to stop this nonsense.
Nokia Chief Executive Officer Stephen Elop will step aside to return to Microsoft.
Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) agreed to pay 5.44 billion euros ($7.2 billion) for Nokia Oyj (NOK1V)’s devices business and license patents as the Finnish company, once the biggest maker of mobile phones, struggles to maintain market share.
The fierce urgency of now for justice. Time for Vringo to march and demand justice from Google's antics.
Why didn't all this work around commotion by Google happen before or during the trial. Why even have the jury deliberate on a future royalty rate, if Google already planned a "work around." What a waste of taxpayers money and the judiciary system's time. This is nonsense. Hopefully, the judge sees through this BS and drops the largest patent award ever. Lang spent a considerably amount of his adult life for his day in court. Now, he has to wait ever longer for Google to actually pay for what he created.
