50% increase in pps since rs from 3.27 to 5.00... July 12 to July 28...
A borrow rate for shorts north of 90% w/at least one broker...
Morgan Stanley opening a small position in q1 with about 7.5k shares as of 3/31 per Nasdaq... now over 300k as of recent filing...
These are small, but important, evidentiary points that run counter to the sky is falling theory...
Also interesting Colonnade management named FA... presumably related to asset sale...
2 important pieces of information coming due... Q2 financials due by 8/15... and details of a financing as cash has to be short right now...
Could the company go under.... most certainly the answer is yes... Opus extended to 10/27... but they should be in need of cash and have been silent on how they plan to handle that...
This is a complicated story... I have come to believe it will either be a 2017 disaster or a 2018 success... within the next couple of weeks we'll get some additional and important information... glta...
Buying and holding the whole time... terrible corporate mismanagement... plenty of enemies within and without... a chasm that nearly engulfed them twice... bears won last few years... nearly won the whole match... may yet win... but I don't think so... glta...
Oh yes... been buying right a long... not a big player... a little guy... just nibbling all the way down... way too soon to declare victory.... not convinced by bear thesis... don't blame those who were... I have a busy life... no time for all the nonsense... satisfied with my investment... back into my hole now...
appreciate this post... very interesting... thanks...
Oh the irony... it is truly stunning....
Agreed. More to come. Bears been holding a wake for this thing for months. Telling us the end is nigh... it is not... in some ways just the beginning really... imo... glta...
LOL... this stock has never seen volume even close to this...
probably just some random buyers scooping up 14 mil shares in 2 hours... wink, wink...
for traders and investors still plenty of time... this is just the beginning... plenty of turbulence ahead... and the occasional updraft...
I wouldn't worry about what he says. All the really smart guys who know anything about ANY post right here on ihub... a veritable treasure trove of dd...
Surely not... it's all day traders and insiders - eh? ...and the company is going bk in 2017... we're holding the wake on ihub right now... it's been going on for weeks... why would institutions want a dead company???
You didn't see it because it doesn't exist. There was no pump...
Random appears to be accumulating a rather nice position... he must not be aware that the ip is worthless and the company is headed for bankruptcy... perhaps our resident board experts here can set him straight... I'll be keeping an eye on Random... he seems to be up to something....
You would lose that bet.
The wake and post mortem on ihub is entertaining, but premature. The entity is not dead... best laid plans... stay tuned...
An excellent podcast... those who get it... get it... those who don't... don't... I'm very much looking forward to the days ahead... jmo...
She hasn't even stepped to the podium
Yes. It is financially driven/motivated activity.
The past mortem on s3d conducted daily by these folks on ihub will soon be shown to have been remarkably premature...
That's correct... there remain a strong group of longs... just because they have mostly concluded that it is pointless to post here doesn't mean they aren't hopeful regarding the future of this investment. Many disappointments side-by-side more recent and very encouraging developments. Time will tell, but this investment story certainly isn't complete yet... paper losses are just that... on paper... they dont count until the shares are sold... the price at which that occurs makes all the difference.... and that remains to be seen for those who remain long...
Well said. Thanks.
TTommy, Thank you for your service.
Fortunately the future will clarify itself regarding ANY... I very much look foreward to what lies ahead... those who see only dark clouds and calamity may yet be surprised by what is next... glta... on this Memorial weekend may I take a moment to thank the veterans among us for their service as we remember those who gave all... Bulls and bears, we disagree on much, perhaps we can agree on this one thing....
Lol... yes ignore all of that... and while we are at it we should back out rdx rev quarter after quarter so we can try and stop that pesky revenue increase in Disk systems q/q.... I suppose really we might as well back out v3 while we are at it... or better yet just ignore disk systems altogether and focus only on tape archives.... for that is the declining revenue category that supports the bear thesis... ignore everything else including 4 consecutive quarters of improving ebitda...
Lol... Simon Bramfitt has not quit... he joined s3d after fully vetting glassware and after talking with msft after they did the same... he knows what the potential is here and is helping to make it a reality...
Totally understand. Not seven sure how many of us dinosaurs remain... several still here, but many are gone... a few who sold return periodically to remind us of our foolishness for staying... of course the shorts delight in reminding us daily... the low point was eoy... the shorts nearly had their dream scenario fulfilled.... you are correct... taking longer than I thought... 2014 was all about the mergers... 2015 about shifting the product line and building out the platform... 2016 begins serious monetization... 2017... well let's just say I am very much looking forward to 2017... ... about 24 months later than I'd originally hoped... live and learn... agree with you we've turned the corner...

Welcome back Pepsi. You picked a good time to return... imo... I stepped away from this board a few times myself... the break from the negativity is helpful.... much going on as i'm sure you're aware....
The desperation is hilarious... yes... rdx inflated disk systems for q3'15... which by the way is actually the reason they bought rdx to increase revenues... imagine that...
Disk systems quarterly revenue from q2'15 - 8.6, 10.1, 11.2, 12.2
3 consecutive quarters of revenue growth... modest to be sure... but a beginning...
Even more interesting 4 consecutive quarters of improvements in ebitda from q1'15... -6.1, -5.3, -4.6, -4.4, -3.1... a 51% improvement... and that is before the sales leads increased 10 fold in the last quarter... 2016 is going to be fun...
2015 was first year of combined entity s3d (4 companies into one)... quarterly revs posted below... Disk Systems bottomed out in q2 and began to grow 2nd half of 2015 as new products developed... up 17% in q3, up 11% in q4... disk systems is where the new product lines reside... tape archive is where the old storage products reside (declined 14% q3 and 10% q4)...I will be watching closely on Thursday to see what disk systems revenue is... confirmation of this early growth trend would be significant imo...
Disk Systems 10.0 8.6 10.1 11.2
baseline -14% 17% 11%
Tape Archive 7.2 7.0 6.0 5.4
baseline -3% -14% -10%
Service 2.9 2.8 2.7 2.3
baseline -3% -4% -15%
Aggregate 20.1 18.4 18.8 18.9
baseline -8% 2% 1%
Excellent post... and you are spot on with this...
"Strut wonders why there is no discourse........well, it is very simple......shorts continue to dwell in the past and longs continue to look forward. Both sides are very entranced in their beliefs and any discourse is a waste of time."
Most longs have decided to simply let the company developments speak for itself...
A knockout blow??? that's a good one...
EK = 7,748.12
KK = 6,159.24
...to be knocked out with that blow... s3d would certainly require a very soft chin... down for the count in December... up off the mat in time... let's see what q1 looks like in 4 days... jmo... glta...
must be frustrating to have come so close to the mark in December and now see their targeted goal gradually fading into the mist... it's no wonder they live in the past... the past is the good old days for those wishing a death spiral and insolvency for s3d... it was almost within reach... and then it is not... the entrepreneurial journey is a struggle fraught with danger... as any real entrepreneur will tell you... the allure of adventure and treasure the beckoning call... s3d management has done a remarkable job of turning things around with the turn of the calendar into 2016... 2015 was the building of the platform... the foundation... 2016 is the build of monetization... jmo... glta...
article is poorly written... analysis by author is grossly uninformed (he really phoned it in with only cursory dd)... EK's responses are accurate though predictably underwhelming... if you know what is going on, then you understand his answers more fully... if not, you probably don't... interview is a non-event imo... best suited for investors who are allergic to serious due diligence... or at least allergic to the effort required to obtain... informed investors will find the analysis to be quite off the mark... jmo... glta...
q1 release and cc on 5/12 just a few days away... will be interesting to see what the numbers tell us...
18-20 mil is essentially flat... revs have remained essentially flat within this range throughout 2015... the first year of the post mergers s3d... 4 companies into 1... company spent the year integrating the new product line, shifting away from the old...
if revs continue in this 18-20 mil range for q1 I will be looking at two things... 1) what is happening with losses +or-? and does the growth in the disk systems continue its upward trend which began in 2nd half of 2015... we know this category houses the revenue from the new product lines...
revenue below 18 certainly supports the bear thesis... we shall see what the numbers reveal... similarly revenue above 20 supports the bull thesis...
bear thesis... old declining storage company (more overland than anything else)... headed for bk...
bull thesis... up and coming technology/cloud company in early monetization phase...
jmo... glta...
Desarcmo... appreciate your posts...
I suspect it may get a bit tiresome focusing on the past, ignoring what is happening now and grasping for any sliver of negativity... though it may pay well off setting the tedium to some degree... just speculation on my part... as for longs believe we have quite a lot more than a sliver to inform our optimism... jmo... glta...
Very much agree with you.
agree... not much to discuss these days... folk have made up their minds one way or another... only new data will shift the conversation... it's really very simple... the bear thesis needs the financial numbers to go down moving toward 15/16 mil per quarter on their way to an eventual zero... the bull thesis needs the numbers to go up getting over 20 mil and continuing to climb quarter over quarter... the company indicated essentially flat revs for q1... so probably neither thesis will be vindicated in this upcoming quarter... we'll see soon enough regarding q1... and then focus will shift to q2... until the numbers provide us with a clear indication one way or another... this board will continue to be a churning word battle between bears and bulls... producing lots of smoke, but very little fire... jmo... glta...
Bear thesis is company is going bankrupt and products are failing to gain sales traction... I would think bears should be looking for 15 to 16 mil aggregate for q1 revenue... within two weeks we get q1 numbers... we will see then whether or not the bear thesis is on track...
