Perhaps someone can enlighten me? Bloomberg indicates trading in Frankfurt of UDJ:GR (APDN) is up 7.46% this morning, however, as usual, 0 volume is also indicated. What, if anything, does that mean?

CC, Good to see you here (aka:py...) With regard to your comment, check-out the first comment appropriately posted at the end of the article. Semper Fi

Joed, Agreed, it should be a couple of very exciting weeks.

No more so than Dupont, they too have a solution, but not the "Gold Standard" we're all about.
DFARS CASE 2012-D055: DETECTION AND AVOIDANCE OF COUNTERFEIT ELECTRONIC PARTS.
For those not aware of Henry Livingston's "Counterfeit Parts" site, here's a link to a specific reference by the Gov. he posted. As you will see the DARC Director tasked DARS staff to draft proposed DFARS rule, captioned above. The report is due 10/03/2012. I would expect, when published, it will contain the contractual DNA marking specifics...

Sorry about that, here's the link I referred to:

What do you know, I was able to edit my post and include it there. Still getting used to this board, nice feature.
20/20: I wasn't aware of the symposium this past June but found, through your link, that another is scheduled for December 4-6 2012 in California. Also sponsored by SMTA (not to be confused with SMT) and CALCE. By the way, Diganta Das, Ph.D., CALCE/University of Maryland is the Conference Chair, he is perhaps one of the most highly regarded experts in the field of counterfeit avoidance. Here's a link to a summary of a Webinar he gave this past January. As you will see, he has discussed marking material and components for authentication purposes before.

Just sent following to APDN via their "Contact Us" link...
A recent RFP posted by US Bureau of Engraving and printing.

Couldn't hurt.
Johnsyn,
I've seen it here:

and heard it here:

Given the upcoming anniversary, and the focus of this board, it seems appropriate not only to remember the victims of the 9/11 attacks, but to acknowledge how several terrorists gained access to US soil. Namely, counterfeit Passports.
As reported this past March, Holliston Corp, a preferred supplier of US and many other foreign Passports began working with APDN on the development of high-security passport cover material.
Holliston’s Chief Operating Officer, Keith Polak stated: “We are excited about the prospect of incorporating the botanical SigNature DNA layer into a variety of products to stem the rising threat of forged passports and other identity documents. DNA, we believe, is the gold standard, and we are working toward providing our customers with the best security solution, whilst maintaining the highest quality products to which they are accustomed.
I haven't heard anything since March but for more than financial reasons hope that progress is indeed being made.
Bull, $10.00 by next September?! Care to place any prediction nearer term, say like the EOY?
All of you know by now that SMT, one of the largest distributors in the world, worked with APDN for the last 18 months or so developing the recently contracted Signature DNA counterfeit solutions MANDATED by the DLA. What you may not be aware of is ALTERA CORPORATION, a world class chip manufacturer, focused on: Automotive, Broadcast, Computer and Storage, Consumer, Industrial, Medical, Military, Test & Measurement, Wireless and Wireline chips and components was also very much part of the DLA research, and worked hand in hand with SMT and APDN during that period. It seems to me very plausible that they in fact will be the subject of another Press Release in the near future. The consequences could be enormous, IMHO.
At this rate we may exceed our 90 day average volume in the first hour of trading. I'm certain pps will follow.
Vangorilla, If you haven't already, you may want to check out EBN online. Douglas Alexander has written a number of articles about the technology. There's one in particular featuring APDN that was published after his meeting with them.
apdn1mill, I honestly don't know. I believe the number of Posts play a part but beyond that? Perhaps one of our Moderators can explain it...
APDN makes it onto IH Breakout Board this morning (albeit #50) My guess, it will climb throughout the day!
Good to see our PR is getting out. See Military & Aerospace Electronics.

News out of Frankfurt, UDJ (aka APDN) is up about 13% in early trading this morning. It should be an exciting day. GLTA!
Ollik78, Good?? I would say GREAT!!
Thanks for the post Kgem, it made my day!
Armani, Given the bases are loaded, we could be talking a Grand Slam!
20K Traded @ .1399 in Pre-Market
It's just a Headline, rotating on the APDN Homepage, without any particulars given, but reads "Applied DNA Sciences to unveil new textile capabilities - Appearing at Première Vision 2012 September 19-21" (in Paris). I would expect some PR on or before 9/19, and given their current foothold in the European textile industry, this could be big.
IMO. Given the performance over the last 10 days or so I wouldn't be surprised if we see a spike to .25 in the next week or two; a market cap of 160M seems entirely possible.
15k shares pre-market @ .14- .143
US Government Fails Counterfeit Detection 101
As reported by Tam Harbert yesterday in EBN Online. Hopefully the DLA and industry will have better results/reporting once APDN is in place.

Can DNA Marking Solve 'Conflict-Mineral' Challenge?
Crises in the Congo and other mineral rich states could be addressed/minimized by using DNA Marking, See EBN online publication yesterday, 8/28/12, article by Douglas Alexander.
