Pay_tience and wonderboy we should share ideas for stocks that are getting ripe, i had some NENG and posted on here when it was in the 1.30s, rebought LOOK at 1.54 and held on for the recent run-up and could have bought ANTP when it was around $23, had it on my watchlist after i found it on a screener, but never bought. Made good money in ECST and am looking for it to do more in 2005. Would love to share ideas with yall. Do you have MSN Messenger so we can communicate our ideas. Damn what a bad day to wake up late I missed selling LOOK uggggh. Anyways, what are your thoughts on LOOK I see the big seller is still dumping his shares, 4.65M,
as of yesterday, I ve counted, but there is definately a big buyer too, hopefully this seller will be done soon so LOOK can go to the moon :).

Any chance those trades this morning get cancelled?

mFlutie I like your idea about shorting everything on sight, I think everyone in here should research one stock to the bone I mean read past events, analyst comment, etc, basically find out everything about a company so we can all pool ideas on whats good to buy/short, it makes it a hell of alot easier for 20 people to research one company each then one person reasearching 20 companies. Im in if anyone else is. So what does everyone think? We can pick each others brains here!

Re LOOK- It follows the market, Nas down large the last few days, as soon as the Nas goes back up so does LOOK.

I actually like these guys, good on executions, thats what Im gonna do, open a margin account, sent them the freaking money, to get rid of the restriction and get the money back, geeez, everythings on sale today, and i cant do shit, thanx for the responses guys, you been great help.

Agile, Deacon, BUSH, heres my beef, it says that my account is restricted because I didnt settle by settlement date, all this happened April 23, everything was settled April 26, one business day.

heres the restriction...Order was rejected: It could be that your order was rejected because your account is restricted. For an account to become restricted, you must have bought and sold something without paying for it in full first by settlement date. For the duration of this 90 day restriction you can only place trades by calling a customer service representative and you must have 100% cleared funds in the account before any purchase orders are accepted

Its AFtrader, good broker, havent had any problems with them until now, and I dont have a margin account.

Now my broker says i can send in like $2300 to get rid of the restriction, and they'll send the money right back to me. I dont owe any money to my account, but this is just to get rid of the restriction, it'll be sent right back to me. Is this legit. Like wtf? Im getting so pissed, Im gonna go kick the dog

Someone Please HELLLP Ok heres the situation, I just found out my account is restricted for 90 Fukn days now. Apperantly I used up all my cash to by BCON on April 23 and then I bought LOOK on the same day with no cash in my account (I swear I sold BCON first then bought LOOK), the broker says I bought BCON first then LOOK, then I sold BCON. To summarize, I bought BCON with all my cash, then bought LOOK without have any cash in account, then sold BCON the same day, all on APRIL 23. Then I sold LOOK at 2.71 on April 26. With april 24 and April 25 being on the weekend, would everything have been settled by the 3 business day settlement dates?? I mean is this legit that my account is now restricted?

Whats everyones opinion on MGM's dividend payout of $8 a share, I thought the share price would jump but it hasn't, am I missing something. The date of record is May 7 and the divident date is May 17 i think but will be extended an extra day by the NYSE. So any opinions?

I dont think id consider myself a scalper, but I will sell to conserve profits if I feel there is a major downturn, anyways locking in some profits so I can GROW my money, hint hint ;) its just a matter of time before that one takes off. 20.17 -0.10: Co announces that its Board of Directors has declared a one-time cash dividend of $8 per share. The dividend will be payable on May 17 to stockholders of record as of the close on May 7. Due to the magnitude of the dividend, the NYSE will defer the ex-dividend date to one day following the payment date. As a result, shareholders who sell their shares after the record date, and through the payment date, also will be selling their right to receive the dividend.
