oh of course.
Autodata were supposed to be a all singing all dancing one stop shop for data in the automotive industry in the UK and US. They started out well and I made some money.
Then a few years in they seemed to be buying all kinds of rubbish companies, well buying into all kinds of crap ideas.
Whenever you could get Glover on the phone the story was different. Press releases would come out and then be retracted, accounts were always late being released, and in some cases a struggle to get. This was towards the end.
I dug and dug at the time, and found companies that did business with them not being paid, which was when I sold up (loss) most of my stock. Then it just went bang.
From what I could glean from speaking to people who dealt with them Glover was doing ok out the company. One guy I managed to track down in Scotland hated his guts. It was quiet comical how upset he was. I only emailed him to see if he had any further information, it seemed I knew more than he did.
I could write a book on the debacle, but at the time there were a lot of people who I made contact with that were far worse off than me. So let it go, it was only a while back I googled him and found this forum. To be fair it's sport for me now, and I feel for you all.
I've been where you all are. It's not nice.
