Dear WebSafety User:
I want to thank each of you for your support and patience during the development and launch of the WebSafety app. It has been a challenging process throughout its development on the Apple and Android mobile devices. We had over 10,000 beta testers and we appreciate those that shared their suggestions and frustrations while using the app. We incorporated many of your suggestions and know of your strong desire to monitor your children’s behavior.
I am writing to solicit your help as we move forward. Each day we hear of the tragedies that have taken place due to cyberbullying, sexting, pornography, etc., within the middle and high schools, and within a child’s peer and social groups.
WebSafety can be that window that allows you to see what your child is doing and will allow you to intervene if necessary to correct behavior before it is too late.
I am asking you to:
Continue to give us valuable criticism of the app so it will best reflect your needs.
Honestly rate the app. It seems that the only ratings we receive are negative, some have even come from children (one star) that don’t want it on their mobile devices. Yet we receive very good positive comments at our customer support department.
Share it with your friends, at your child’s school functions, social groups, church and within the community.
Be patient, we are working as fast as we can to fix the bugs, simplify it, and make it more intuitive.
Share with us your stories of what WebSafety has done to alert you of a potential problem that you were able to correct and how it has made your family stronger and increased communication with your children. We may have an opportunity to share your stories as the media has shown an interest in WebSafety.
PLEASE use the www.WebSafety.com website on a Tablet or Desktop computer to complete your child’s profile and get the best possible understanding of their mobile activities. We are currently rebuilding the Parent side of the WebSafety App. At this point, we only provide a view of the dashboard feed; the other features WebSafety provides will be accessible in the next major release of the Parent app.
Starting next week and during the next month we will be sending out some short surveys; we hope you will participate. This will give us greater insight in making our free app even better. We will have multiple drawings for some nice gifts.
I express again my appreciation for your interest in shaping your child’s behavior and development. Our children are the most important assets that we have. They need help in this world of technology where they can gain access to media, content and communications that are far beyond their maturity.
