Hello Mrmacg00
I don't post much but since you are trying to assess count I thought I would contribute. Presently holding 80,992 common shares of VRNG as of April 3, 2014. Started accumulating in Fall of 2011. At one time per a discussion with Cliff W. during the merger vote, I was number 20 on the largest shareholders list but that was pre IP merger so definitely not the case anymore. In my opinion, Vringo is the most underrated overdue stock/company on the planet . Thanks and take care, Tink07
I agree its likely a bogus rumor but I also agree that it does make a lot sense. If your a little guy named Vringo and you're getting knocked around by a big "bully" named Google get your own big guy named Mr. Softy to protect you.
Rumor aside, I would consider it a logical move by management to turn the stock into a projectile against shorts and MMs.
OK I am done on this subject but it was kind of funny to see one of the resident shorts on this board squirm a bit. Tink07
Any thoughts/validity at all to the rumor hitting other message boards that Microsoft is possibly taking a 20 percent stake in Vringo with announcement during conf call???
On the outside chance this is true it would be consistent with Vringo's own partnering methods and definitely would knock a punch at the manipulation/shorts. Timing is also feasible given all court decisions are out on W/A and RR...thoughts???
Thanks Retjarhead! Hopefully our day has come and "good hunting" to the entire Vringo legal team with respect to going after Facebook as well as all the other infringers out there. Hope Larry and the team at Google are also considering "what if" some other search engine buys Vringo and injunction "wildcard" comes into play. Obviously one billion dollars is immaterial to Google but the thought of shutting down their multi-billion dollar revenue stream might cause a sleepless night or two for the "DO & KNOW EVIL" guys!
Take care and good night! Tink07
I have been holding a significant position and adding VRNG since the late fall of 2011 well before the merger with IP. I have had many sleepless nights as bashers and shorters cried out "Its a lottery ticket...It's a gamble" and inundated all discussion forums with a constant run of lies and misinformation.
Tables have now turned and the so called lottery ticket is now a bonafide investment. The short position is now becoming the "lottery ticket" side of the trade which is fine by me as I think its about time the shorts have a few sleepless nights too. Truth is Vringo legal team has a near perfect score in this entire case against Google when jury and judge errors are discounted out of the equation. I can't imagine Google wants to even take on a strong chance of "laches" being overturned on appeal along with jury error versus a slim to none chance of winning against Vringo on appeal. I am probably wrong but I think the chance of settlement is higher than ever. Either way, I'm in for the long haul on this one.
Good luck all and sleep well. Tink07

My cheapest purchase was for 77 cents per share in early 2012 and bought in big in the Spring of 2012. Normally just read the posts but had to share on this joyful HALTED evening In for the long haul on this one and hope everyones dreams come true! Tink07

Thanks so much. I was just wondering on the compensation given the judge's attempt to remove plantiff/defendant influence from the "expert" equation. Thanks again. ..appreciate your great efforts.
Been invested in vringo longer that I care to admit...something like late 2011 (before ip merger) and have gotten use to the long boring flat sections of this rollercoaster (and sick from some drops) but would like to see ride end soon via an extreme climb to the stars......
Who compansates these experts as I assume they are not providing their services out of the goodness of their hearts? Is it shared court cost or has Google gladly offered to take care of the matter above and below the table?:)
Thanks in advance and very much appreciate your insight/contribution on this board.
Exactly!!!
The “[s]ystemic flaw throughout [Defendants’] analysis is [their] overt failure to consider
the change in the legal status of the parties that resulted from the verdict and judgment in this
case.”
Google lost this case but is so arrogant they are ignoring the jury verdict, the judge and trying to retry the case themselves outside court! Totally mocks and disrespects the authority of the court. Hopefully the Judge will take this to heart and make an example out of them where they will feel it the most. Tink07
Seems ironic per the news released a few minutes ago on USPTO status....Why is Google continuing to push for reexamination of Vringo's patents if they have this miraculous "work around"? GOOGLE IS SO SINISTER and DECEPTIVE.
Tink07
Exactly. ..google may be posturing to settle and floated the "fix" wildcard to impower them atvthw table. Again. Judge jury and justice system means nothing to this bully but possibility of vrng and microsoft striking a deal has gotten their attention.
Have a great day and thank you. Tink07
I agree as well as Googles attempt to go nuclear and kill Vringo's settlement talks with Microsoft by "alleging" no value exists going forward because Google his miraculously workedarround something thev were not infringing upon in the first place. My guess is that the judge and jury decision are just an afterthought to Google now and their real concern is microsoft. Vrng timing for suing microsoft was brilliant. This is getting interesting.
Tink07
My gut feeling here is that Google is predictably playing their role as the billionaire with nothing to lose and this is another calculated measure (aka: lie, bluff...) on their behalf designed to throw a wrench at Vringo. No real downside to Google's tactic since they internally are well aware they have infringed all along and the arrogance continues in spite of the jury decision against them. Final hour tactic that the Judge will hopefully see at its face value. In short, Google is the rich guy with 20 DUIs that continues to drive by buying his way out of jail and stalling justice. As others have eluded, the judge needs to put an end to this nonsense and send a crystal clear message to Google that they are not above the law or courts. Just seems too ironic that Google all of the sudden miraculously works a fix when they are against the wall on time...won't be my first or last miscalculation in life but I have held and added too long (since late 2011) here to fold now.
Good luck all, Tink07
Hi Tom,
As a Vringo investor since late 2011 (I was in when the shares outstanding were only 13 million), the dilution argument is very deceptive. If not for the IP merger which increased shares dramatically, pre-merger VRINGO would likely be trading around 20 cents per share right now. I am thankful everyday for the IP VRNG merger otherwise this company would have been a casualty of the Facebook plays that all went South
Just my observation, but regardless of shares outstanding, IP brought value to Vringo that short term holders can't fully understand or appreciate. I voted for the merger gladly and while frustrated many times, I have been utterly impressed with the management team post IP merger.
Usually just a silent observer but felt compelled to weigh in on some of the misleading dilution claims put forth on the board....for the most part shares issued have had strategic purpose thus getting us to where we can now slay the dragon!
Have a great night! Tink07
Thanks for the information...it has been put out there as if it was Google's recent response to the Judge's recent orders.
So much misinformation and poor reporting. While arrogant beyond belief, Google would be insane to make that statement now.
Thanks again, Tink07
GOOGLE RECENT STATEMENT:
""We remain confident that the patents here are invalid, that we did not infringe them, and that we will ultimately win this case," Google said
Reminds me of Kevin Bacon in Animal House when he says "Remain calm all is well" as a mob of people flatten him into the ground!
Tink (overdue VRNG investor since late 2011)
How's that itchy feeling on VRNG your Grandma told you about? Incredible prediction/premonition on a good day! Good job and Happy Easter!
Have quietly owned lots of VRNG for over a year (First position in late 2011 and adding quite a bit along the way) and today was the best news since the jury verdict!
Thanks, Tinker07
I have owned VRINGO stock for over 12 months now and have witnessed this same pattern over and over again. MMs drop (ie manipulate price) to free up shares right before a pop. Market makers = market manipulation and should = SEC investigation. It is soooo obvious what they are doing.
I'm guessing that the slow painful PPS decline method of striping shares from investors wasn't working as planned. A more drastic approach was utilized today by MMs to spike volume for them to acquire shares. Looking at this realistically... there is no reason for price to pop right now but there is also no reason for it to plummet down either.
I am hoping and praying that this is just last ditch manipulation to loosen the grip on shares as we approach the final hour......
"Hey Moose! Rocco! Help "Google" find his checkbook!"
Latest motion/response by Vringo/IP makes it perfectly clear:
IP (David) not only beat Google (Golaith) in court they have them out lawyered from all angles post trial too. Vringo legal team is just awesome. On the other hand, Google's team is just arrogant and grasping at straws. Judge has to be seeing it that way and hopefully will inflict some monetary pain Google's way for their baseless gaming of the system. The time has come for Google to:
1)stop making a mockery of the system
2) acknowledge that a jury found them guilty on all counts for stealing billions off another's property/patent.
3)go over to that big 40 billion dollar plus checking account,
4)and pay up guys!
5) Oh yes, they should also be very grateful and thankful that they got off cheap on the laches ruling and not press their luck on an appeal!
Google's risk factor has just jumped exponentially...they need to wake up because their so called frivolous lawsuit by Vringo, a small, NPE patent troll has just become Google's worst nightmare: A major and legitimate trial court/jury loss to Vringo, a fast growing,"PRACTICING ENTITY" infringed upon patent owner. Patent troll = Patent toll
Thanks, Tink 07
Do you think the 14 day stay motion Google requested (and Vringo didn't oppose) post judgement was a tactic (or insurance)to buy time to settle as a last resort????
Wow! Thanks for posting the link...IP (David) not only beat Google (Golaith) in court they have them out lawyered from all angles post trial too. Vringo legal team is just awesome. Again, thank you so much for the update! Patrick S.
I would go one step further...it is the equivalent of "MULTI BILLIONAIRE" being found guilty of murder, then saying, yes I killed a man in cold-blood, but I should receive no punishment whatsoever nor wish to "compensate the family for my actions".
Google was found guilty for infringement and theft of billions and now wants to get out of it on the cheap??? Judge has to see thru that in a blink of the eye and one would think he would be offended and might even inflict more pain on Google then they would have received otherwise........let us hope and pray for swift and final justice.
Tink 07
FWIW My daily sell order is 3.5% times googles opening share price. Currently and ironically for the "do no evil" company at $666 x .035 = $23.31 PPS for VRNG. Lots of kentucky windage here but as good as method as any right now! Tink 07
In the words of Illinois Great Governor Blago:
the 3.5% vagueness is "Golden"
here we go on pps...it is about time!
today and will run for days going forward. Google just got it handed to them.
And google cannot afford for x to be such a wildcard...google will settle. Google will most definitely settle.

Post trial Update: Judge throws down the Obviousness trump card
By edvacourt.28 minutes ago.Permalink
.
With obviousness now out of the way the options for Google are basically to appeal to hell and back or settle. By laying this card down in an early Thanksgiving gift to Vringo the Judge has put more pressure on the parties (and particularly Google) to settle. If Google enters a motion for judgement notwithstanding the verdict (which is an attempt to get exactly what it sounds like) that motion will likely be DOA and Google knows it. There are many well informed longs who could see the upside here but were worried about the remote possibility that the judge would overrule the jury's verdict on validity by finding obviousness (I had that possibility at 10% mainly because I was surprised by the laches ruling). With this ruling the Judge has shown deference to the jury. I have said all along that the judge will use these kind of trump cards to steer this case toward conclusion. I believe the next thing for the Judge to rule on will include hard numbers that will disadvantage Google even further in negotiations. See my latest Seeking Alpha instablog for some background. I think the judge in affirming the decision by both parties to grant each other more time to calculate interest on damages and also throwing out the obviousness card is essentially imploring them to get a deal done in that time frame or he throws out the next card. I admit surprise that this stock is not over $4 right now because the risk balloon pretty much just had the air taken out of it.
One of the jury/court screw ups eventually have to work in our favor right? Can google afford for that to happen? I say a settlement is going to happen unless Vringo really wants to hold them to the fire.
A) VRNG Won
B) Judge upheld that VRNG Won
C) VRNG has material dollars coming their way from Google
?) How much and how soon are the material dollars going to hit. Last but a big unknown.
Either way Vringo is way undervalued given above.
At some point, PPS is going to explode given facts are coming together.
But what if that settlement number is a really big number to but this to rest???
It almost seems like the second string mms and traders on duty before a holiday are holding down the price until they can get permission from their bosses to let it go:)
Either way that is worth a whole lot more than a PPS of $3.65
Honestly I think wallstreet was caught off guard by these announcements on a lazy eve of Thanksgiving day. The beauty of the pacer announcements is that the pros have no advantage or insider info over the retailreal investor. Gotta love that. Once the impact of 3.5 being the real deal hits I think we will see the proper recognition to the pps. Just my thoughts....
I take that to mean the judge just confirmed the 3.5 percent going forward....yes?
There is absolutely no sound reason not to buy VRNG at these levels given what is known to this point. Pot is about to boil over and mms and shorters may get burned if they try to hold PPS lid down any longer!!.... Have a great holiday!
So much for overturn by Judge...that should fuel the settlement negotiations /PPS for Vringo!
I agree...also Google is not going to leave any wiggle room after a settlement payment for Vringo to make future claims against them or any of their business partners. I don't think many people appreciate how complex and time consuming settlement negotiations can be. The one I was involved with (my employer was on the "plaintiffs" side) was a $100 million dollar plus settlement that took several months for all parties to sign off on before presentment to the Judge for approval. Lead attorneys on both sides(I was the only accountant involved)met constantly in secrecy until process was done and all loopholes were closed. I was also amazed at how friendly everyone got (dire enemies during the trial) once settlement was reached! We even had a dinner with the other side's attorneys to celebrate the resolution post-settlement. Go figure !
You take care and have a great holiday!
