I am deep into this, do not understand their focus. Expect to win big at some point. Their actions make little sense to me, the aceptance of their products bring confidence to my investment.
Why would they announce their intentions to do a r/s before the second quarter numbers are out? This makes absolutely no sense to me unless the second quarter is not what it was led on to be.
Where is everyone reading about a r/s? Why would they want to do this at this level? The company strengths and weaknesses remain the same. They lose too on a 100 to 1 or better.
What am I missing here? They returned 79m shares and bought back 15m shares and now sold a 100 m shares for $1m. The dilution is only 6m shares. jmho
Nice to see a lot more posters here recently, plus who knows how many are just here to read and observe. The more the merrier, good activity travels quickly, now we need the corresponding news.
Wow, have been gone all day. Almost triple the volume over yesterday. A 2m buy @ ,02. Something is happening, all the technicals remain good, RSI of 69 plus, has not been that high in months. Looks like we are finally being rewarded. About time.glta
Always nice to come back from vacation and see your investments were working while you were not. Breaking through three levels today was a nice change to see, hopefully an omen for the rest of the week and beyond.
See that as highly probable in my opinion. This is not a sub two cent company once investor confidence and transparency kick in.
Yes, it would be a game changer for most, myself included. The point is that in my opinion it is very possible, that's why the r/s talk makes me cringe, let the puppy run for a while, let the company patiently grow, nothing goes straight up, but we will all prosper better with the patient approach.
The longterm success of a company is obviously tied directly to their products or services offered. I am always enthused by reading on this forum the folks that use and love MP products. They have the hard part already done, market penetration, a loyal and increasing customer base, looking to expand globally and at the KMart bluelight special price .... for a very limited time, of less then two cents a share.
You are right, as previously posted myself and by a few others in months passed, it is common for the market to value a company based on revenue, especially a newer co going through growing pains. A common multiplier would be in the three point five range. If you took the projected $75m times 3.5 divided by 1.4m shares equals nineteen cents a share. Will the market come to value M P like this? Time will tell.
Usually the insiders with better knowledge then the masses start an upswing shortly before good news is announced. The blow through three levels and the technicals are pointing bullish would point to this, however the volume while much better then weeks past was not so substantial only $87k changed hands today. In my opinion it we start to see increases in volume over the next few days with a rise in pps should mean good news is on the way. The .0167 becomes the new support level tomorrow, it will be interesting to watch as it plays out. If it holds this could rise to .0178, if it blows through that we may see a nice run. Nice to be writing about positives again, hope it stays this way.Not sure why anyone would be selling at this point.
Yeah probably do not have 1.4b out there.
I have not seen any mention of mslp on the few p and d forums I follow, not to say it will not happen. Lets hope the upcoming pr's will be all the pumping necessary. As we all know there are not many $75m in revenue companies at under two cents. If they have a positive operating line for the quarter, in my opinion this puppy starts to run. Even if they need to clean up the balance sheet, they will announce the affect each quarter on the current results. Writeoffs from prior periods may negatively impact refi efforts to some degree, but fixing the past will not affect the future for very long.
The only reasons I can think for the price to be so low is this is a scam, the lack of investor confidence of management, their reputation for previous failures, lack of transparency, balance sheet unknowns. I do not think it is a scam and all the other things can be improved. In my opinion the fog is starting to clear.
Glad too see that you are back recently on the forum, enjoy reading your takes.
My thoughts on Davis, he is older, has m and a experience, his resume hints that he has the ability and knowledge needed here, he signed for reasonable money. He also has moved around a lot, not unusual, but maybe a hired gun for a year or two.Hope as time goes forward M P will acquire good fold in products by acquiring other companies. Do not want M P being acquired anytime soon as we want the pps to rise.
Definitely, my opinion is slowly evolving on our management team to the positive side. Time will tell. Feel much better about my investment then a month ago.
My take on the financials would be they will have to go all the way back. The numerous audit companies in and out the door points to this. Would not see this as a terribly big undertaking as there are few employees with everything from production to distribution subbed out. The revenue/ga reclasses are a given, would probably need to refocus on capitalized items on the balance sheet, and deferrals to start. There is always an inclination with companies big and small to stretch the limits of capitalizations and deferrals to help the bottom line.
They may be able to recapture some $ too, possibly capitalizing more items that were expensed previously that would qualify as r and d expense. Also new companies are allowed to amortize many start up cost that are necessary over a longer time frame, three to five years to limit overburdening the short run and initial years operations.
Lets hope there is some good with the bad, the sooner they come clean, the better.
The next few weeks will tell the story. The pop through three levels today is encouraging with the .0167 becoming the new support level. If we see higher volume the tomorrow and the next few days will be bullish too.
Yes, you are right, one day may start a trend, but is not necessarily anything more than a blip. Still encouraging technically, volume wise and the addition of Davis for a reasonable salary. I think Davis and Buhler are the keys, and the company is finally doing something besides marketing, properly. The next few weeks will tell the story.Very pleased with Davis on board, he is the missing piece in my opinion.
Wow, jumped three support levels and the 200/50 m a. RSI over 58. Time to rock, ready for some excitement after the last three months of nothing. Hope the increased volume is due to insider buys. Hope to hear news of debt restucturing, management focus, revised forecast, second quarter preliminary numbers. I am impressed with Davis and think the have the right financial guys to right the ship and move this forward. The old adage, Good things happen to those that wait, seems to be finally happening for us.JMHO
I thought he wrote that the pr guy said this in a general answer. That he was not asked this specifically. Guess you have to form your own opinions. Would bet if some one called for a clarification they would deny saying it.If he admitted to it our heroes should fire him.
Definitely the next few weeks will tell the story.
Agree on all counts. Worried he inadvertently tipped the cos hand? I sure hope he mispoke. Maybe some one needs to call for a clarification. I, for one have never merited a return email or callback. Definitely pisses me off and makes me have the perception I have.
It would take a 200 to one for uplisting, just do not see any benefit. Grow patiently, correct the books, get the right people on board. Once this co is making money they will be lining up for shares. There is a lot of potential for big profits for those that can wait.
What does a rs accomplish? Does it make our management team heroes smarter? Does it clean up the balance sheet? Does it secure better financing terms? Does ensure better margins and product pricing? All the same problems are still there without any chance of making serious profits at our retail level. I agree I cannot believe an ir guy would mention something so negative. If you sold out and bought in cheaper, good for you.
You can make a lot more $ with a hundred shares than one. A r/s is simply wrong for everyone who wants to max their return. Cannot believe people actually see merit in this, come on, do the math, being on the big board does not change anything about the positives or negatives of our company and heroes. Must be a lot of marketing people on this board...haha, only kidding, do not light up my in box.
As stated before most r/s in pennyland involved once high dollar listed companies trying to stay on the big board by doing an r/s, seldom are those successful. For Mslp to do one now would never make sense, nor do we want one. At this point a two hundred to one would be in order or worse. it takes our chances of hitting it big away, just like our management team heroes suffer too.I would rather be holding my millions of shares versus ten of thousands. If they rs and an ivestor is way behind at that point it makes it nearly impossible to come back. In my experience it does not make sense until this pps is a dollar or more. This co must grow patiently, then everyone from the insiders to us retail guys and gals. Talk of a rs is very depressing to say the least.
One more positive post, an emerging company with trememdous growth is usually valued by markets in a multiper of annual sales versus a p e ratio, as most emerging co have not made money yet.
A conservative value of a 3.5 multilper times lets say $80m in annual 2012 sales divided by a net of repurchased shares outstanding of 1.350m would result in a pps of roughly 21 cents per share. We could be looking like this by year end.JMHO Those looking to bail might want to rethink their approach.
Hope this is a step towards credibility and transparency. Next lets hope for a p r regarding new debt and working capital refi. A p r on their share repurchase program, expected revenue for the quarter and their progress on board appointees.
I agree, next week hopefully is the start of more communication, revised projection, company focus, debt restructuring??? and the pps should rise out of the toilet.
Everything is perception, a transparent and communicative company garners goodwill and trust, whereas, a look at me, vacation, this is the life management team garners illwill, mistrust and a slumping pps. I cannot believe that they would allow the pps to stay in the toilet due to an upcoming derivitive fmv adjustment that is recorded at quarter end. If that is the case, then much more must be wrong.imo
The apparel line is not owned by them anymore.
See what happens when investors do not receive continual updates from their company? Bk talk, naked shorts, day traders, GNC selling apparrel, dumping shares internationallly, this forum needs info to digest and disect so all this other bs will stop. Come on Cory what is the latest FB tally, how about another vacation pic? How about a tweet? I am starting to group some of the posters here with our management heroes, that is not good.
Yes, I agree, uncertainty breeds contempt. We all hope to be rewarded for our risk taking in pennyland. The crappy pps and lack of news makes the ride much less enjoyable. GLTY
In my experience, even in slow news event times, a company will put something out there for their investors and more so for potential investors to come on board. None of this makes sense, they are nearly a month behind on their self imposed deadlines regarding board appointees, compensation plan etc, not one word to explain. Why they are not hyping the expected second quarter and year end revenue growth is perplexing. They simply are doing everything backwards in this respect. I would hope they are smarter than they are showing. Investor sentiment goes south as we are left to wonder if the reason there is not any news is because it is bad. I agree the MM were manipulating the price for seven or eight weeks, what is gained by holding the pps down continually is beyond me. Their increased sales activity would require them to collect their accounts receivables timely to pay all the third pary expenses. If they cannot control that favorably, and sometimes when the majority of your sales come from a handful of clients it makes the cash flow harder to achieve, thus making short term borrowing a must. With a crappy pps, they will not get good debt serve terms, thus keeping the situation like it is.
The stock is controlled by just a couple of handfuls of people or employees, do not see any reason why they would need to scare retail investors into selling in hopes they can by more. The big guys buy straight from the company in most instances.
If they must utilize their subcontracted p r firm, then there would be a costs. Not sure how their agreement is set. Ponel in the past seems to be clueless about issues at hand, decertification, board appointees, exe compensation plan redo etc., does not seem like they are in the loop. The costs is minimal to post a pr on their website, the brokerage houses can pick up from there or they can be sent the pr directly. That is what this situation so preplexing... why not communicate, the costs is little at best.
Definitely ready to get out of the dark period. The pps has done nothing but trend down for almost three months now, no pr's in almost a month, and the Muscle Pharm restaurant has stopped accepting common shares in instead of $. Ready for the enlightening period to start.
Any company that has good news and its pps is stuck in the twilight zone would be quick to get that out for everyone to see. Why wait, I agree the dereviative issue still looms, but they will only issue good news after the quarter end makes no sense.
The stock is stuck in the Twlight zone for many reasons right now.
Lack of pr's and info, nothing in three plus weeks.
Poor history of big losses.
Failure to announce board appointees.
Failure to communicate new exe. comp plans in detail.
Lost $16.5 on $16m in revenue for the first quarter.
The need for a higher margin on products.
The need to restructure existing manufacturing and distribution contracts to get incremental savings from volume increases.
The perception that there is plenty more bal sheet clean up to do.
Investors are waiting for answers, once they start communicating their focus and what they have accomplished since the first quarter, if the news is positive the pps will rise.
I remain long and cautiously optimistic here, fustrated by the lack of transparency.
Your are right, we do not care where they get the proper notions as long as they ultimately come through. A good day to you and all, a beautiful day on the island down here, going to the beach, then headed out of town. Hope to read of good news when I return. Glta Regards.
You are right, Mslp is not the typical penny stock. No one ever invest money with the hope of losing money, we invest to win. My posts inject and wait and see approach and show me approach. Those that want to be happy or giddy, so be it, it is their perogative. I have invested for many years, my corporate experience is from the financial and accounting side. I was probably one of the excited types in years past, but my experiences and knowledge gained shaped my view over the years.
Not trying to rain on anyones parade. There are things that I do not like about this company's processes, however there are things I like too.
