Exactly!
I thought we had already had that discussion, but to remind, your strategy on penny stock, in brief is to trade short term on volatility, and hold a long position. That works, but it requires constant attention. Over decades in this case. I am way too lazy for that. So, my strategy, in brief, is to buy a lot of shares in a penny stock, wait for volatility to double, and sell half. Then do nothing, because my money is no longer on the table. Two different strategies, but your advice is
of no interest here. Good luck to all.
"So what if this is as good as it gets", as timelessly expressed by Jack Nicholson in a waiting room of full of mental patients, who remain stoic. Welcome to the waiting room.
The Chairman and the CEO are silent about the company they control on our behalf. Other than some past remarks about being more informative (a whopper), reaching break even (a double whopper), PLA and the maze participation (with fries), yada yada, there is a quiet time that has extended for years? A reasonable person might conclude this is not a good signal from a publicly held company. In fact, it looks like a really big red flag, blowing in the wind to draw attention to a really big and ongoing problem. Defined on a regular basis by the (drumroll) financial reports. No new business of substance, no profits, running on empty, not even the much anticipated royalties from China, basically rental income from the mostly abandoned Valencia white elephant showcase. This, taken all together, is a clue to outside shareholders with hard numbers, so no-one can say they are clueless. And yet here we are, waiting breathlessly for Apple and the maze to drop a load of money in our pockets, any day now. Wow, that would be great, wouldn't it? What if the load they drop on us is not money. Again.
Now there is a genuine sense of humor. Arigato gozaimasu.
'Nice close'. What illitterbox said that, on the cusp of Apple Season and the grand reveal? Here is the scoop. No matter what Apple does with BMG, it means squat unless it puts real money into the pockets of LQMT shareholders.
By virtue of rapid shareholder capital gains, an absolute minimum risk reward of $2 a share. But for real, a direct line of whale contracts for a sustainable business which would turn this in to much more. When Apple Season once again fades into history, if you have not got the $2 off ramp, or the hard revenue forecast to carry LQMT to double digit, it has been oversold up the ying yang once again. I predict the latter. Money in our pockets is the only measurement that matters.
As serious investors.
Something to look forward to: This seasons apologies from the folks that oversold the Apple story, once again. Episode 12.
That story is older than I am. The punch line btw is "don't make a ripple".
True, there is potential value in the tax loss carry forwards. How much and to whom, I don't know. Last time I was involved in evaluating that sort of thing, it was like trying to unscramble eggs.
$273 million. That is the accumlated deficit here, not one dime paid out to general shareholders. 20 years. Shareholder value today is squat. A dime. There is nothing of real value in LQMT Valencia. The IP has been sold off, and/or expiring. That is the real value update.
Hello Chip. I suspected someone would raise that yet again. Inquire of yourself, how do these folks roll? Well, let' see. LL acquired his shares
in LQMT not in the open market but in a pre-arranged aquisition that
came down to 16 cents a share. He sold his major interest in his flagship company EON also as a 'block' sale to state companies, once again not on any open market. I challenge anyone to come up with the hard evidence of
what he was actually paid for those shares. Of course in the BoD
responsibility for shareholders' best interests here in the USA, we should
be confident that is our protection. Let's see, do I remember, is it just me, that LL could appoint how many Board members?
I do not know if the authorzed/issued sharecount numbers are up to date, but it looks to me like LL (or a cohort) could acquire the remaining authorized shares for about $18 million @ 10 cents, and hold more than 50%. I do not know why he would want to do that, probably doesn't, but
that is how the numbers stack up.
LOL. That is a good one! And enitrely feasible when the same person is sitting on both sides of the table. The PLA can be changed any time, when both sides of the table agree. AKA, conflict of interest.
Same hyperventilating comes up every Apple Season, all we need is for them to use liquidmetal and by association, we are rich. Been there, did not happen.Sim card ejector. Of course there was Swatch, medical, dental, pocket knife, yada yada, same hyperventilating by the same suspects. And behold, we have gone back full circle on the golf clubs. Yet here we are, still hoping for a dime? Explain that. It is real.
Ola' Muchacho! Yep, here is the reality check. Everyone that has predicted
imminent financial success for LQMT and it's shareholders has been wrong. Since 2016, 2010, and 2002. Thus everyone that has predicted failure on behalf of shareholders, has been right. You have suddenly discovered the old saw around Apple Season? And BTW, LQMT has already announced domestic manufacturing agreements. However, there has been nothing of substance to manufacture.I guess you are as bored as most everyone here, and want to shake the cradle. Don't blame you at all, and as always, would love to see it happen. Yet again. Good luck!
Good post!
'Conspiracy theory". That is what some people scream out any time the CCP comes up in discussion. What they do not get, is that it is no longer a theory.
The Chinese (under the CCP and Politburo) announced long ago their intentions
in the 2025 plan to capture and lead in certain areas of technology. It is already happening in real time and LQMT is a wonderfully clever example of how to do it.
That coupled with the now growing tensions between China and the USA, has to be part of the equation when analyzing LQMT and its shareholer value, past , present, and going forward. Right now, inarguably, the picture is grim based on the numbers and hard facts. Remember Jack Ma? I am sure LL does.
Now comes an aside by JB, suggesting that EONTEC is LQMT's parent company. Literally that is misinformation. Figuratively, however, he has a point.
A company ultimately under the control of the CCP seems to have the reins.
Mirabile Dictu.
So EONTEC is LQMT's parent company. Good to know. Don't you just love Apple Season?
Which JB are you referring to?
My risk/reward was for $20. Some were expounding on $100, back in the day. However the massive dilution, just since Apple 2010, has ruined all that, am looking at just $2. $5? Maybe with a reverse split.
"Burning Love", but Elvis has left the building. Also.
I have not been able to come up with a good reason why LQMT, on the merits, should consistently have an eight or nine cent floor. On the contrary, given the light trading interest, I would expect much more volatility. However someone with a very large holding may be motivated to maintain that floor for their own purposes, such as maintaining their net worth on paper. .I can only think of three people that may be so inclined, one of which really stands out in numbers. Consequently, it has occurred to me that we are not looking at real shareholder value at all.
Well you left out the biggest risk factor of all: Lugee Li and the CCP.
Ahhh, "Those were the days my friend, we thought they would never end".
Aerospace, military, Engel, Materion, as we were coming (falling) down off the Apple high and realizing there had been another head fake. Eight years ago. And while the lines are still drawn pretty much the same, by many of the same suspects, it is now clear who was prescient. And who was not. Thanks for the reminder!
The share price always bounces around before a financial comes out, price goes up a littleon hope, then flops back down to dime land or under. This time however, there volume and range are hardly noticeable. Dead as a crowbar.

Hope is not business plan. Or a serious stock investment strategy. Look at how many times leading up to the quarterly, that word and that strategy is being revealed amongst the hypesters. Yet once again.
Yeah, pretty much. LL will not sue EONTEC for non performance.
That is what it says. Bottom line though, what if LL decides to modify, ignore, or cancel that contract, which he stands on both sides of.
How many times has the goal post been moved for LQMT? The hypesters keep on saying the same kind of things, but the share price remains strangled. In 2010 it was all about how name association with Apple alone, would do the trick. Nope. Then it was well, any part with Apple's name on it would make it happen. Sim ejector. Then it was okay, a non CE product that demonstrates the value of BMG to the market. Pocket knife. Hong Kong money arrives, builds out a showplace full of cool machinery, then closes it. IP heads for China. On and on and on, and here we are chasing our tails with the future of golf clubs, Apple CE, etc., all over again? This is pretty dramatic, even for a serious investor.
This could be the breakthrough heaadline we are waiting for. LQMT is creating battery energy through oxidation. All this time they have been working on a prototype. Our machinery rusting away at Eutectix is actuay a working battery!
In that case, the whole EV does.
A thousand Mondays and LQMT is still accumulating losses, never paid its shareholders, gave us instead massive dilution, and is barely trading even under a dime a share. That is some record for 20 years. Must be a message in there somewhere.
Haven't you heard? The CCP is just another conspiracy theory. According to the experts here.
Apple has no need for LQMT Valencia, they have whatever they wanted via Crucible and exclusive rights to CE. LQMT is an irrelevant fly speck in the grand scheme of things. The PAL has probably drained cash from LQMT Valencia to pay them for prototypes and other services. What has Valenica received in payments from the maze? Not much if anything according to our numbers.
No royalties at all from the last financials.
Li stepped down for two main reasons. Conflict of interest in his roles in EONTEC
and LQMT controlling both sides of the PAL, and loss of face following the OH when he reversed course and shuttered LQMT Valencia. But he remains the ventriloquist for the wooden dummies he has appointed.
I believe you have that backwards. Li owns about 420 million shares through LQMT HK, 46% of the shares. That's it.
Apple season. Watch all the speculation from the usual rumor mills. Yihao and Apple are getting together to make BMG watch parts, and so on. The mega posters are spreading the rumors all over the place, as though Valencia is the real target of wealth. So would someone please explain why, with all this grandiose breakthrough news, we are we at eight cents? Could it be that nobody with real money is buying what they are selling?
Every year when apple season approaches, the rumors abound about BMG and are somehow interpolated into money flowing into the pockets of LQMT retail holders. And of course every year, it turns out to be rubbish. Why? Well first of all, Apple usually ends up not using BMG. But even if they did use it, why would they need LQMT Valencia. Well, it does not matter. Because of the PAL, we would get at least territorial royalties. Right? Well, maybe Apple, shrewd
bargainers that they are, says nah, we don't want to pay an extra 5% for that, Lugee. To which he replies wearing his LQMT hat, too bad Apple, Valencia gets 5% under the PAL. I can sue EONTEC for performance and they will fork it over. Then Lugee puts on his EONTEC hat and says, both my hats agree. The PAL is canceled. Eight cents.
I do not see that LQMT Valencia is working on anything. Seems to me, Valencia is barely on life support. Our PAL 'partner' EON and the maze on the other hand, have been using the trademark and the IP to produce revenue in glowing numbers. Just read the propaganda on Reddit and Stockwits, often quoted here. How much money has that put in your pocket?
