Apple did not buy LQMT for it's technology, it bought the key technology (rights to) from a starving company and left the remainder for us. Then along came the Chinese and did acquire effective control of the company, along with (lopsided) contracted rights for the IP and brand. Absquatulated with all of that, left LQMT Valencia Circle on the sidelines, for us to enjoy. I was just wondering, amongst the 'us', is there anyone that really does not understand what has happened....to us? Think corncob level punishment. We are in nickel range after all these years. Whilst Apple and the Chinese are having a fine time. working the technology.
Apple has more money than most countries. China has more money than Apple. None of which is on the way to LQMT outside shareholders' pockets. It seems to be.
This board is full of octogenarians. Funny, there didn't used to be any. What happened?
I do not normally respond either, but you have put some of the well known peanut gallery against the wall in a colorful way, very Texas, thanks for that. They are empty hats. I have lived and run businesses in the Far East as well, for a global company that started in Shanghai in 1921. It seems you were in plastics injection molding, in real time. And invested in LQMT with that relevant background. So, aside from the complaints we all have as stockholders of LQMT, I would like to hear your view on who is actually calling the shots in this company, and what to expect. And why. And thanks in advance.
Sellers, buyers, market makers, shorts, longs, man in the moon, they have always been around but are merely peripheral to the underlying question, which is: What is fundamentally wrong with this company? It does not have revenue, earnings, sales, manufacturing, nor the staff to achieve any of that. The company is dead. Sidelined, in my view. To the point of absurdity. The answer becomes more obvious every day, week, month, year this goes on. And on.
Let's not forget the 23 sales reps, out there drumming up revenue 2/7.
'Auspiciousness and Imperial Power'. That is the characterization of China's new 'Year of the Dragon', coming up on February 10. Wait for it.
Here we are with another year under the belt, and nothing substantial to report. No financial improvement, just time passing, and on that basis alone things are getting worse. Time being money. In the ongoing attempts to explain why, what makes the sense to me is that LL and the CCP are sitting on LQMT Valencia, by means of their Hong Kong holding company. Thus giving them time to make use our IP and Brand to center and grow the BMG business from China, while suppressing competition from the US. Some day, they may use Valencia as an agency for the US business, but even if that does not happen, they have accomplished their plan to take control yet another facet of Western technology. Research has recently come to a similar conclusion. Can't prove it because we are kept in the dark, but it crosses all the T's.
'One LQMT is enough', you sound like Chip (about MOVE). Here is the thing guys, "The honeymoon night is never enough".
Surely there is an agreement that assigns the rights to MOVE, for whatever patents have been issued in his name as an employee/officer of the company? That would be S.O.P.
After the great ring revelation, MOVE has steadily collapsed. No hesitation at all. If Apple is in any way involved with MOVE, that movement would not make much sense. Looking more and more like another LQMT false alarm. Happy holidays.
Right down the alley for the Grand Master to appear and hob-knob with the global leaders in manufacturing and metal casting research. Was he there? I don't think it is TC's area of expertise.
All that plus the founder seems to have a history. I agree with everything you said. But if perchance this hits with the FDA, somebody with money and know how may snap it up at a large premium, and clean it up. Wish that had happened with LQMT, but no Western company was interested. Especially Apple.
Will watch through the yearend and look for volatility to take my money off the table. Good luck and Happy Holidays to all.
I bought a few shares of MOVE just so I could better keep track as a shareholder. It looks like a number of institutional investors have done
the same thing with small (for them) positions, waiting to see what happens. LQMT seems to have acknowledged a deal but the terms are unkown. What do you think, Chip?
Does anyone know for sure where the liquidmetal shells for the ring are being manufactured? China?
The Grand Master has at best, veto power over everything, and so here we are. Worse than that, some purposeful motive to sit on any development, and worse than that, can sell all his shares (and the company, pre-arranged as usual). Yet, the Grand Master remains unheard, unseen, just passive? . . And, is there really anyone left here that does not understand that the normal, US, retail stockownership
analysis and conversation is sidelined along with LQMT? Is there really anyone left that thinks this has nothing to do with the controlling shareholder's subjugation to the CCP, which has long announced their intentions to acquire and dominate tech especially Western technology?
Don't worry. Every long that has piled up the cheap shares will be a millionaire. Well, some longs did not buy the cheap shares (IPO).
following the
Trivial pursuit is fun, but my view remains that nothing significant is likely to happen here until the controlling shareholder and Chairman decides it will. By selling his shares (and the company) or by pushing growth and revenue, via China and the maze or most importantly organic growth out of Valencia. In other words, speculating on normal market forces and the motives of minority shareholders holders is interesting, but probably irrelevant to orders from headquarters. Wherever that may really be. I do not know why that has not happened, but this is not a normal situation to unpack.
Could not help to notice that some of the aging generation of LQMT/BMG acolytes are becoming indecipherable, peeling off, and/or just plain losing it. My sympathies. They have been a store of knowledge. R.I.P. But right now there is nothing here. As said many times, until the controlling shareholder (beholden to the CCP) says otherwise, this is sidelined. IMHO. Read the numbers, and look in your pockets.
"There is no data from the past eight years to suggest there is any thing in LQMT’s history to this present day to support any theory that “the odds are LQMT is going up". Yup, that is a hard truth. However some folks, long in complete denial, do not care. Some investment strategy that is. Deny the obvious. Duh.
My first reaction to MOVE was that it sounded good, after all LQMT guru's have proclaimed that the mere association with
our brand would drive up our fortunes. Often unproven. Then, when you check out the company MOVE it looks really shaky. Then, you see major players chiming in being well on the same trail. Okay, I get why we are still at 6 cents. Give or take. Maybe the grand insider enthusiasm to acquire a whole $50K on his own dime, rather than the millions of freebee shares, means somebody is once again looking to inspire and cash in. Guess we will find out. MOVE is sinking. I still wonder who here jumped at it. CHIP shrugged it off and is watching. I bought 100 shares just so it would show up on my various share tracking. Our company is still dead in the water, and under the practical control of a Hong Kong holding company, owned by a Chinese entrepreneur and reportedly 'billionaire', beholden to the CCP.If that is not correct , I welcome any factual repost.. Because taken altogether, that casts a lot shadow on the fate of the US shareholders of this company...
Some more volume, still at 6 cents. Tells me little.
The shareprice over recent days seems to have dismissed the whole MOVE ring thing, even though this time it is clearly identified with LQMT. In some undefined financial way. Then, up pops news about Apple as well as other players already well into it. With big money..
And for us, is it CE, medical, an Apple waiver? Plus what is the underground movement . For example, where is this being
manufactured? China, Arizona, Europe?
That is pretty much my impression as well, however one might say they are probably in better shape to make money on BMG than LQMT...a billion shares under a dime and nothing announced to change that. MOVE at least has the ring.

Just look at that share price jump, then retract. Nobody has seen that before? Penny land. The Ring thing falls flat. And out come the
blind pumpers. OMG. From the expert on chronicling patent filings who has been 100% wrong on calling this investment forever, to the
near comatose gadfly's pitching emojis. Somebody please after all these years......READ THE NUMBERS AND LOOK IN YOUR POCKETS.
"perhaps LL was an investor". Good one! MOVE being part of the MAZE, you have to love it. Held under Liquidmetal Hong Kong, even better. Gold star for that one, Chip. What a hoot if it were to happen.
The Evie ring has the trademark associated with it, so it seems to be the next breakout everyone has been waiting to long for, and here we sit at 6 cents. Of course there isn't much detail, like who is manufacturing it and where, what/how does it pay us, contract provisions, production capacity, and so on. And let's not forget the sim ejector, pocket knife, golf clubs, bezels, dental, yada yada, and how that all added up for us. So can't blame folks for being skeptical. Furthermore, given the massive dilution and billion share count this company has experienced, I see no path to the once dreamed of $50-100 a share, much less $20, $15, $5....This is a dead in the water company with no adequate production capacity in the US, aging patents, weak management, and seems dependent on the whims of one controlling shareholder who is beholden to the CCP. So, exciting as this may seem right now, I am sticking to my plan to sell half in the .40's based on history, and the rest at an unlikely $2. That is my best scenario.
Does anybody know who is actually manufacturing the Evie ring, and where?
Well said, and Amen to that. On the other hand, it is a bad day for turkeys. Not everybody can be a winner :)
It is always comforting to be able to say 'yeah, I have pocketed real money here'.
That is what should happen. Proof of life, there in Valencia.
So Chip, given all the options TC already has, $50K this very day on open market is a little suspect, could it be a pump ON INSIDER INFORMATION, n'est pas? Surely he is too smart for that.
Big "if" if it's legit.. We will be the last to know anyway, and even then may never see money in our pocket from this company. That has been the consistent story for decades. I want to hear directly from the company, not through a stock message board. Dead silence.
Apple CAN make these and market them if they want to, or GIVE LQMT a WAIVER to produce/sell them as CE. So, who exactly is doing this. If it is LQMT Valencia where is the disclosure?

Help me out here. Apple does not have to pay LQMT anything to produce and sell CE liquidmeatl rings, right? So where is this ring coming from? LQMT Valencia
needs to step up and make the connection, announce they have a paying customer for peoduction, and/or royalties (if it is direct from China). Were is the PR?
Tax sellers being picked off in open season, 5 cent open bids, JB making yearend adjustments, Chinese buyers who know something we do not, yada yada. But It is small change. So, fess up, who took the bait today and joined in?
As I recall, when LL put up 16 cents to buy 46%, he was funded by shares he cashed in from the Chinese company EONTEC (and approved by the CCP). It is now evident they had other objectives than to pay US shareholders of LQMT. . My own view is that LL was made whole accordingly. It seems entirely conceivable to me that these savvy folks could organize a pre-arranged buyout if they wanted to unload and move on. But why should they? The 16 cents bought what they were willing to pay for. Pretty smart, and the CCP has a lot of money. More even than Apple (Cook was at the dinner last night along with Xi, and Musk). I wonder if LC was in wait at the open bar.
I hear he met the plane and is at the dinner with Xi tonight, addressing American business leaders and inviting them to invest in China. What a blessing. I guess the IP snatch has not quite panned out. I wonder if Apple is there.
I noticed that as well, and assumed something new has happened mostly in the contract manufacturer category. Moving product. Wish I knew what it was, exactly.
On another front that will not resonate here, Xi's domestic issues of unemployment, housing, slowdown in growth and so on, have forced him to look to his biggest trading partner for support. And we should give it to him, in return for a more favorable business climate and access to China's markets. Xi's current visit has more potential for us than the failed organic performance of Valencia. Maybe LL will get a different message from the CCP. Russia and Iran can't help us economically, but the USA certainly can. Let's play nice. Authoritarians can change on a dime.
LL is not very popular in this country, as Chairman of the Board which has oversight of the company, he has failed to act on behalf of U.S. shareholders. He picked the BoD and the CFO/CEO, maybe he has not been looking at the track record of this train wreck. On the other hand, he is probably very popular back in China, for transmitting the IP and brand back to his country. Gold star from the CCP! Maybe they will make him a general, too.
