Hi C&H, I have to disagree with your valuation of MDBX. All reporting OTC companies have an inherent potential as a vehicle for insider enrichment. I have never seen an actuarial evaluation of this potential, but I would guess at least $500,000 and probably a lot more. Based on this factor alone, MDBX shares are worth at least $0.03!
Disclose - small short position, willing to bash on occasion...
How about an e-cigarette with active cannabinoids sold through Medbox vending machines to the medicinal mmj community? There must be a deal in the works. What else could explain the ECIG chart?
Disclosure - small MDBX short position. May establish ECIG short position once the craziness subsides.
So what's the connection between Vinnie, MDBX and ECIG? Looks like his kind of chart...
I hope my small short position in BSSP does as well as my UMAX short. This is my second BSSP short. The first got bought in, but I hope I can hold on to this one. If price breaks out over the promo high, I will box my position.
Talk about an under the radar promo!
I hope to be buying in the next few days to cover my small short position.
OK, I'm back again with a small short position. Kudos to the insiders holding the majority of shares for having the patience not to dump. Based on fundamentals, the pps will eventually return to a reasonable level, but who knows when... Borrows of MDBX shares are very hard to find, I hope to avoid buy-ins and hold for the long term.
They did on Wednesday. I got filled with a GTC order that was paced about a week earlier.
I use iHub level 2 as my mobile solution. When I have iHub mobile open on my iPhone beside EquityFeed on my computer I have never noticed a difference in performance. But for some reason iHub doesn't show ARCA during the premarket session for OTCs.
EquityFeed! Sign up for a free one month trial. Level 2 plus powerful real time scanning.
More likely a lack of insider selling discipline selling into the promotion.
Ask at $24.00, this is a serious breach of the previous support of $25. Could this be the start of the next leg down? Disclosure - short, based on fundamental valuation issues.
Hi 236T568, thanks for this. I was already short PSON as a "dead pump" play, your post motivated me to increase my position size. Will be interesting to see if they can control the selling...
For Interactive Brokers (the best broker for shorting OTC pump and dumps like NORX) you need to call the trade desk to close your position. This morning they were swamped due to BIZM and NORX and I had to wait 30 minutes to close my short position. They do not charge any additional fees for the phone trade.
The 24's are back! (and so am I!) Disclosure - small short position thru IB - shares became available this afternoon before the drop.
You may have to call your broker's trade desk to close your position. This is the case with Interactive Brokers.
OTC Short Report data is meaningless. Read the section on "the FINRA daily short volume report" at http://promotionstocksecrets.com/the-truth-about-naked-short-selling/ for an explanation.
As there is no evidence that the merger has closed, or will ever go ahead, the TOTAL assets of UBIQ remain as stated in their last filing, $13.
Normally, the suspension is for ten days, and the stock gets demoted to the grey market. It usually starts trading at a much lower price. I was short SUSA when it was halted. When it resumed trading on the grey market, I had to phone my broker Interactive Brokers to get a bid and ask.
I just read the SEC filings. Revenue of $0 and $13 in the bank as of their last 10-Q indicates to me that the only product they can afford to bring to market is a jug of homemade lemonade. Disclaimer - very small short position.
So far, I have managed to amass a total short position of 50 shares. They are slowly dribbling out of IB if you are patient and maintain a number of orders to short.
Interactive Brokers allows stop orders on any security and also allows trading of OTCBB stocks in the Pre-market session. Anyone with an IB account should know better than to set a stop that can be activated outside of regular trading hours.
Well, I was short until a buy-in yesterday after holding for two weeks. Shares are very hard to find. Total short interest as of mid-May is 3,994 shares.
If I remember correctly, the last time there was a long weekend, the wash traders had an extra day or two off. Volume then picked up again.
OK, thanks, I was looking at Otcmarkets.com that only lists a subset of SEC filings. My mistake.
SEC filings. Am I missing something? The last time MDBX filed anything with the SEC was in October, 2003. How can they be any closer to be "fully reporting" with the SEC than they were five years ago? The fact that they are "current" with financials on otcmarkets.com means nothing to the SEC. Again, I am always trying to increase my knowledge of how the markets work, so any clarifications would be appreciated.
Disclose - short a very small position based on statements from MDBX management that they believe the current share price is over-valued. Why wouldn't I believe them and act on their knowledge and experience?
Hey Francisco, seven days of consolidation is long enough. Get round two underway!
If you read the last 10-q filed with the SEC, you will see that they have zero revenue, $ 4,000 in cash and no other assets other than their website that they value at $70,000.
The price is falling because this stock is no longer being promoted on behalf of the insiders that are dumping their shares.
People like me are short, because we know this company has very little fundamental value.
The first leg down was a profitable short, and I am sure the second leg down will be as we'll. I am willing to stay short for days, weeks or months. Timmy is a day trader when it comes to shorting, so I am not sure why I am being lumped in with him.
We have already had this conversation about shorting on the GNIN board. GNIN was very profitable short on the first leg down, but shares got very scarce go the second leg down.
You can trade OTCBB socks Pre-market if you have a broker that allows you to route through ARCA. Interactive Brokers, SpeedTrader, SureTrader, etc...
In a very calm and controlled manner, I reboxed my shorts premarket at 1.23. I am looking for a push back up above 2.00 so that I can short this back down when this phase of the promo ends. Congrats to Brighton group for a well run campaign!
Short from just over a buck. I could not get borrows from IB before then, and shares probably became available as others covered.
That wouldn't be a photo of Tony Kerrigone from WDCO, would it?
I think the real hysteria was in the PR issued a few hours ago about the "unauthorized" listing on the Berlin Borse.
As a short biased trader in promoted stocks, I am hoping that TALK spikes back up to $2.00 or higher so that I can ride it back down!
And btw, the Berlin Borse usually suspends trading of stocks suspected of being subject to promotion or manipulation within one or two trading days, unlike US markets where the SEC moves at a snails pace to protect the public.
And when the evil shorters who are short a total of ZERO shares on the Berlin Borse are forced to cover on Monday, the price may spike by as much as $0.00!!!!!!!
According to the chart for iTalk on the Berlin Borse, today was the first day the stock was registered for trading, and the total volume was ZERO shares! Now that's an under the radar, stealth short attack!
Easier said than done. Borrows are very difficult to find. I have been shorting since 47.00, but have been bought-in three times so far.
Not hard to expand when, according to the last 10-q filed with the SEC, TALK had zero revenues and no employees. Although it is difficult to understand how all these expansions are being funded when the 10-q states that the ONLY assets the company has is $380 in the bank. They acquired RockftVoip for $50,000 and 500,000 shares, but that doesn't leave any money for all the other acquisitions!
Hi all, back again after IB found a very small quantity of shares to short. I see that the discussion on the future of MDBX has not really made any progress since I left... Same old same old.
