They need a few contracts. If Boeing's strategy and forecast to sell some 24,000 aircraft over the next 20 years pans out, coupled with EADs (Airbus) sales, there's a lot of aircraft out there that'll need to be prepped for the bone yard and spare parts.

AllanMcK,
I've owned this stock when it was well under .10 cents a share and have only added to my holdings. I share your optimism but would feel a whole lot better if we were in the $160's range based on comparative competition. I also own MHR, which I add to every time it gets the beat down. Thanks for your thoughts.
SS1
Nice upswing here. Looks like the analyst's proposed target price of $7 might become a reality.
SS1
Looks from the filings the drilling results have old Peter selling off shares. Does anyone find that a little discomforting? Thanks.
SS1
Wow, so where are we headed from here with oil below $80 a barrel.
SS1
What's the latest grapevine discussion here? Another speculative buy-out or PR release that ATRN's going over $1.00 a share? Seriously, anyone have anything of value to share here besides speculation? Thanks for the those who are in it for the long haul; yes, I own it and have since the .20's and the rhetoric this was a blue sky stock. Please note: Although I reacted to the comments on this board in my purchase of the is land mine, I do not blame those who made ignorant, ill-advised, and uninformed comments that this was at best a hold. Hope they got out before they lost their @$$ as others did not.
SS1
So, I leave the boards for 8 weeks and come back to find the "Dr. Pennystock" board last posted in early May? Has it died off or is their a new board? Thanks.
SS1
Thanks Low,
I bought a bunch are the bottom at 3.80 and lowered my exposure to 4.10. the stocks around 4.05 now and I missed a chance to sell @ 4.50 8-10 days ago. Read a lot of PR (analysts) that think stock is a strong buy. I'll see what happens over the next week or so and look for an exit point.
Appreciate your thoughts on this one. Another few lessons learned, not all highly anticipated IPO's go North at the outset and when a company sells stock at a higher price than the going rate, (MHR sold additional shares at 4.50 and price dropped to around 4.05). Anyway, no business trips for awhile so I'm back on the board.
So what's the deal deal with BSTO?
SS1
Pich,
That's what I'm thinking. busing on the initial bounce (1.58 - 1.76) might have been the opportunity. Interesting how these trials can make or break these biotechs. Appreciate those sites you provided as this is another classic example of sticking to the technicals and rooting out the emotional aspect of what the company's trying to accomplish.
My latest study is Magnum Hunter Resources (MHR). Bought over $5 and have dollar-cost averaged down to $4.05 per share. Realizing there recent activities of selling additional shares ay $4.50 to support their $311 million expansion in ND, the interest rates were a little higher than I'd expect at 10% annually but the deal brings to their piece of the property there to 43% and a 125% increase in daily oil production. With oil down right now, it'll be interesting to see where this one heads from here.
Cheers,
SS1
And what's your rationale for folks wanting to buy this stock again?
Thanks,
SS1
Lurking now because I left the board months ago for the reasons you post here. This is great advice and I wish the ATRN folk the best here when the silence is broken.
SS1
jedijazz,
Are you still following AvWorks?
SS1
Quickdraw,
You have any updated thoughts on AvWorks?
Thanks in advance.
SS1
Actually, I'd like to see the AvWorks leadership focus on acquiring 757, 767, and 777 parts. The 757 is definitely of interest as Boeing built some 1100 aircraft that are no longer in production. That said, they're still building 767s and 777s so there's some revenue there. Further, the EADS (Airbus) offerings (A300, A320, A380, etc.) are popular platforms and parts support to the international community is wide open. Again, all just my humble opinion so do your own due diligence but I'm keeping my shares as it's just a matter of time before we see this business model start moving in the right direction.
SS1
The stock could definitely use some retail interest and investment to help jump start the process.
SS1
AvWorks business model could be a winner if they get the exposure and secure a few contracts. Their approach is green and with Boeing expecting to sell some 24,496 aircraft over the next 20 years, the aging aircraft that currently constitute 75% of all aircraft currently in service, there's some incredible opportunities for small businesses like AvWorks to get a piece of the action. That said, it's time for the leadership to make sound financial decisions and get some marketing professionals in-place to secure revenue--beyond the 737 parts.
Please note: This is just my humble opinion and doing your own due diligence before investing is advised.
SS1
Thanks Pich,
What's your thoughts on MNOV? They took a serious hit when the phase 2 studies for their 221 weren't conclusive. I thought about buying at $1.60 before in rebounded this AM.
Cheers!
SS1
hereigo,
Prolific words. Thinking LT should cull the great lessons from the past years and publish his works. Good stuff!
Thanks,
SS1
DAD2,
No home run, but positive news for those w/ any cancer in the fight for life. Unlike the penny world strategy, this is a long term hold for me and actually presents a great opportunity to buy more shares. Just trying to merge the TA learning I've been doing with the investor sentiment and reaction to news--scary. There's seems to little correlation between rhyme or reason.
Thanks for your thoughts though.
SS1
P.S. What's your thoughts on the FB IPO...still think I'll wait until it drops to $10 share to buy....some only think it's worth $4 a share.
Low/Pich,
You see the after hours response to the CLDX EMERGE results? After tracking things for almost 2 months now, I've learned another lesson--beside the TA, very positive results on the study do not equate to a positive response on the share price. Jeesh, closed in the 4.20'sm after hours shot up to %.12 and now at 3.89. Boggles my mind (LOL).
SS1
Interesting. Sure seemed like it was good news and things went south in a hurry. Anyone have ideas on why? Thanks.
SS1
Last I read it was on 24 May 12.
Shank,
Understand. Hopefully we'll see some upward movement between now and June.
Cheers,
SS1
Shank,
Interesting looking chart there (do you look at the RSI and CMF?). When it drops, I try to accumulate more. The cycle continues but I think we're nearing an up turn where that just might pay-off. I was thrashed by FSLR and ended up jumping off at a loss of 40%. That's a stock headed for the $10-$12 range in my humble opinion. Thanks for the url.
SS1
Just my humble opinion, but as GenNav and carriers replace aging aircraft with more fuel efficient aircraft that provide improved service at lower operating costs, older aircraft will need to find a home in third world country business environments where FAA and EAASA standards are not enforced or be dismantled and sold for parts or scrap. If Boeing's estimates are close to close, they plan to sell some 24,960+ aircraft over the next 20 years to replace the aging 747, 757, and 767 lines (both freighter and passenger-carrying).
This company could be worth quite a bit but their strategy and execution looks like it needs to change quickly if it ever hopes to be what their website claims it to be. One suggestions worth considering is pursuing bids on FedBizOps or appointing a disabled veteran who understands the business so they might claim additional consideration under the small business act. Not sure if that's worth looking into for the current leadership, but it might be an option to where we are now.
Again, all just my humble opinion and by no means advice to anyone investing, considering investing in, or owning shares in this company.
SS1
.035 would be nice but I can see this kind of business model gaining attention and moving across the industry. Anything "green" now is a good thing.
SS1
Unbelievable tactical snafu with strategic implications. Guess someone's not filling on-line applications for Celldex anymore.
SS1
Pich,
Just returned from a week residency...greatly appreciate the links by the way! You're the man! Hoping CLDX hits the 8-10 mark but I'm guessing (without DD), it'll be in the 7's. now have Lowtrade and your site recommendation to frequent.
Cheers,
SS1
AvWorks Aviation Corp Board, devoted shareholders could use some words of encouragement and positive news h-ere. Standing pat so turn this ship around and get us out of the sub-pennies please.
SS1
Thanks Admin!
SS1
John,
Thanks. I've asked Admin to remove...called a TOS on myself! Long day....
SS1
My bad! Thanks for the heads up.
iheartweimers,
Looking at your two choices of "lost in translation", I'd be speculative of some who completely disregards another post and presents it the intended message--a little comical to me.
Anyway, best wishes with this stock. There several folks interested in considering the reporting on the social collaboration that goes on here daily. The dynamics provide some interesting insight on how people operate in the virtual world--some feel there conduct is and extension of who they are at home or in 3D, while others extend the secret side of their personality to be whomever they'd like to be (good, bad, or indifferent). Cheers and good luck,
SS1
Thanks Pich,
Oddly enough, I'm thinking about adding a few biotechs to my IRA but don't have a lot of knowledge in that area. What's your take on short term and long term biotechs and is the sector in favor or out?
Thanks in advance.
SS1
Jelly,
Thanks (tongue in cheek). Not sure who's who on this sight and just trying to build the 10% of my IRA that's not already locked into foreign property and rentals in the US. Crazy, never had problems communicating with 5 college grads and 8 grandkids, but this collaborative social network is like a zoo gone wild. Your post was fresh and greatly appreciated. Best wishes and God Bless,
SS1
Buck,
I did and I appreciate your loyalty to your chain of command. Let's take this off-line and perhaps we have a few more things in common than most of the folks here are interested. Sound a like a plan?
Peace.
SS1
Sorry there Buck,
When people vote for the President or Congressman can they never say their peace? I think the 1st Amendment of the Constitution might disagree with you Buck.Again, let's tale this off line in a side bar as it appears your are emotionally attached to Mr. Baker. Your either a classmate or an enlisted warfighter with a heart of gold. No one can knock that and if they did you might have a dedicated ally to assist Thanks.
SS1
To you,
Your quote,"It’s been my own personal experience (In the military) that those that say little to nothing about their experience are usually the ones that have done the most and the ones that constantly boast about their experience are the ones that have done the least…just saying. Actions speak louder than words and I don’t know you from Adam…Respect garners respect."
You have no clue what I've done nor what I do and quite frankly to provide that infor in this forum beyond what has been provided is a not advisable. You obviously should be aware but it appears your are not which concerns me if you are still associated with the military. May I suggest you heed your own warning here, sir.
SS1
I couldn't agree with you more. No one can be 100% right and there's an element where consistency can breed complacency. Let's let it go and move on to the celebrations. Cheers and Thanks low!
Cheers,
Buzz
To opinionare likenoses, NinjaAssasin, and duke3
Well, since I’m limited to 15 posts a day, I’ll have to replay to all three of you guys/gals at once. Sorry, after years in the world of diplomacy one never knows how to address there opponents is a discussion—and don’t get your panties in a wad or overreact (especially Ninja):
Let’s start with opinionsarelikenoses:
I think you got your point across. Well, Limited to 15 responses that were more important than this one for the day. You could be right. I would never take advice nor consider Ninja as a viable source for any viable stock advice as he/she has understanding of the big stocks nor business in general (just my humble opinion).
As far a Duche3 (think he needs to change his name here), I’m thinking his piggybacking is one of “Hey, I’d like to join the gang and I’m either a new retailer or a someone REALLY devoted to artinsic. Either way, you cats will choose the path you want and I hope it works out for you. Secret deals and silence talk usually mean prolonging the obvious and this stocks losing support.
Listen the Jellybelly, I think he has some significant substance to add.
Finally, you do realize that the next 2 qtrs are looking negative, right? Since you are the wiz kids, please provide your proposed view of where the market and ATRN are head?
Thanks.
Peace.
