Perhaps Mr. Nelson met in person with Mr. Richardson today - to attend to some "other matters" - and they took the opportunity to address the performance shares at the same time . . .
I agree 100% - and to add - MoneyTV is an outlet for Jim to express his thoughts and opinions in a more casual way than formal, written PRs . . .
Yes - but that was as an industry expert as opposed to a feature specifically about SLTD.
Two years ago he was interviewed for Dateline NBC, with a company PR indicating it soon would air, but I don't believe that it ever did. A bigger story likely stole the spot or perhaps they weren't quite sure the company could pull off the new cell which was only a design simulation at the time, etc.
It looks like we can rule out any news this week on MoneyTV.net
No SLTD in the week 4 folder:

P.S. I'm assuming since week 3 links are the latest on the web site currently that it is week 4 that will be released later tonight. They sometimes post the next week's files a couple of hours early but I don't recall seeing them up this early - so I could be wrong but I would bet the week 4 files are going to be the new ones.
We were just talking about the flat spots where there were no trades . . . Interesting Link
I liked it in stall mode better . . .
Bid/Ask Standoff - The great divide
A couple of minutes ago - according to Scottrade:
Bid/Size Ask/Size
0.093 / 10,000 0.158 / 5,000
Wow - that's quite a spread. Nice Ask!
It's an International patent - server which generated the report is in Europe (tomorrow there already).
He (Obama) specifically pointed out solar installation companies provide jobs that cannot be done overseas . . .
I'm thinking that JN may be waiting to release specific details about the cell until a Quarterly report is filed showing revenue and perhaps even an overall profit thanks to SunWorks. That likely would be mid to late April . . .
It will be big news if delivered via mainstream media, and via multiple outlets, as a true revolution in solar cell design. New investors doing their DD when that news hits will see those financials and will feel more comfortable about a long-term investment.
adeezl - I remember you - It's not too late to come back into the fold.
You ought to pick up 10,000 shares or so and join the party. It can't work out any worse than OCZ did for either of us . . .

Logon to your brokerage account, lookup SLTD, and look at the bid & ask prices. Someone is/was offering to sell 1 million plus shares . . .
I think the message was that SUNworks has installation design experience (e.g., solar systems, sizing, inverters, etc.).
They certainly would not have solar panel design & manufacturing experience.
SLTD press releases often include subtle messages other than the main topic which the company wishes to communicate.
For example, past PR's have stated that the company has "access to capital", promoted Jim Nelson's credentials, etc.
This latest PR emphasized that SUNworks has design capabilities and is not simply an installer of Solar systems.

Form 8-K for SOLAR3D, INC.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6-Nov-2013
Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement
ITEM 1.01 ENTRY INTO A MATERIAL DEFINITIVE AGREEMENT.
On November 1, 2013, Solar3D, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("S3D") entered into a stock purchase agreement, dated as of October 31, 2013 ("SPA"), with Solar United Network, Inc., a California corporation ("SUN"), and Emil Beitpolous, an individual shareholder holding 30% of the outstanding shares of SUN, Abe Emard, an individual shareholder holding 30% of the outstanding shares of SUN, Richard Emard, an individual shareholder holding 20% of the outstanding shares of SUN, and Mikhail Podnesbesnyy, an individual shareholder holding 20% of the outstanding shares of SUN (collectively, the "Sellers" or "SUN Shareholders"), pursuant to which S3D agreed to purchase 100% of the outstanding shares of SUN's common stock (the "SUN Stock") from the Sellers in consideration for $2,794,500, $1,044,500 of which is payable in cash at the closing of the SPA and $1,750,000 of which is payable in installments over a period of five years after the closing of the SPA pursuant to convertible promissory notes bearing simple interest the rate of 4% per annum (the "Notes"). The Notes are convertible at any time after issuance into shares of fully paid and non-assessable shares of the common stock of S3D. The conversion price is $0.02 per share until March 30, 2015, and thereafter the conversion price will be the greater of (a) $0.02 per share or (b) Fifty Percent (50%) of the average closing price of the common stock of S3D as reported by Bloomberg for the ten (10) consecutive trading days following the submission of a notice in writing signed by the Noteholder of his intent to convert.
At the closing of the SPA the SUN Board of Directors will consist of three members, one of whom will be James B. Nelson, one of whom will be Mark J. Richardson, and one of whom will be a designee of SUN reasonably acceptable to S3D and who will initially be Abe Emard.
In the event that S3D proposes to sell all of the SUN Stock or cause SUN to sell all or substantially all of its assets in the future in one or a series of predetermined transactions in consideration for only cash or notes and not for any securities (the "SUN Sale Proposal"), with the intent of exiting the type of business in which SUN is then engaged, each Seller will have the right of first refusal to elect to purchase up to his pro rata share of the SUN Stock or SUN assets proposed for sale, as the case may be, based on the relative outstanding balances of their Notes on the date of the first delivery of notice of the SUN Sale Proposal by S3D.
SUN is engaged in the business of the design, installation, and management of solar systems for commercial, agricultural, and residential customers in California. A copy of the Stock Purchase Agreement is attached to this Report as an exhibit.

Thank you for the information! I've been in SLTD for at least a year-and-a-half and have added much more over the past year or so.
I'm uncomfortable with the response regarding the patent. Frankly, the response seemed misleading. Though he actually answered the question that was asked it could have been qualified.
There is a difference between applying for a patent, having a patent number assigned, and then actually being granted a patent. I don't believe that SLTD has been granted the patent yet.
We have a low number at the deli but we don't have that sandwich quite yet . . .
I also hated the response that they are open (at all) to being acquired. It has been a very risky proposition - losing everything we invest in it is a distinct possibility - and I didn't buy this stock for a 25%, 100%, or even 1000% gain. It would be defeating to break-even or double our money on a stock like this and then watch someone else make millions.
Does anyone know the discount price being offered for the current direct purchase offering? Thanks & GLTA
SLTD's claim is that their solar cell will produce more power over a given day/year than a conventional solar cell. The claim is that their cell not only is more efficient - at any given time (~25% max) - but primarily that it does so at less than optimal incident angles. In other words, their cell is supposed to deliver higher energy output for more time throughout the day. Thus, the claimed 250 percent figure is intended to represent total energy output per day/year compared to output from a conventional solar cell over the same timeframe.
This is just my summarization based upon following this company's investor's communications for over a year now. Please refer to the SLTD web site to get further details and verification in support of your own investment decisions, etc. They also have a newsletter you can sign up for which will provide periodic updates via email. We are pleased to announce the successful fabrication our initial prototype,” said Dr. Changwan Son, Director of Technology at Solar3D. - Implies completion of a prototype, however, the following does not in my opinion - continued Dr. Son. Now, we have put that process to the test and successfully fabricated a meaningful area of precise 3-dimensional photovoltaic nanostructures on the surface of a silicon wafer.
They really haven't confirmed that they have a working prototype but they did imply that they were able to manufacture what they designed. I would like to see them complete a full-scale panel and report on the actual, measured efficiency - and then if it is as good as their design software indicated - then we have confirmation and the only worries would be manufacturing, patent approvals, long-term performance (efficiency, warranty claims), etc. Thoughts?
I assume it is the company itself selling shares in order to raise cash for continuing operations given the current lack of income. Not necessarily a bad thing for true longs but it would be nice to see it rise on such apparent good news
Well-played - you exited at Tuesday's high and are back in now much lower
I can't make up my mind whether or not this company is legit but am a big holder currently . . . didn't buy it to trade but it is tempting lately . . . but also don't want to be left behind if the prototype and independent test results are announced, etc.
The greater efficiency seems possible but I would like to hear more about the wide-angle light-collecting functionality before truly understanding (and believing).
Hi - I haven't heard anything lately about the Nightline interview but assume it still is possible it will air. This company has potential - if you are unsure - perhaps you should consider picking up a small amount just in case it pops . . . Good luck!
I've been recording Nightline nightly and looking for the interview as well. The abcnews.com site doesn't really project the content of upcoming Nightline episodes well, so it seems they key on the latest news/interests, and then pad episodes with other less-pressing stories. It appears that Solar3D falls into the latter category.
Of course, the risk is that something significant within the context of the interview will change before it actually airs . . .
