Thank you...last Friday I posted this thing would trade sideways for a while before it walked back down if no more news was released. I got the typical feedback you would expect from the overly optimistic crowd. I would be willing to bet PLKD is manufacturing more bag holders than water or apple juice right now. This is not a jab at the company but at the unrealistic expectations of investors. PLKD is a great stock to be in...just have to get it for the right price, and don't play with more money than you can afford to lose.
This will head lower from here...and if any of you are really long that is not a bad thing if Rico truly intends to buyback and retire shares. Still lots of money to be made here if they announce deals are final.
Here is the problem I have with the PR that was released....it mostly hinges on the 1.5 million dollar deal with the unnamed investment bank. I think Rico would have been better off to not have commented on facebook about a December 24th PR and held off until that deal had finalized. If he had have done this the stock would have taken off. This just was not the kind of PR that gets people who aren't already invested excited and it caused some who were in it to get out because they didn't want to be left holding the bag. This will probably trade sideways for a while and if there is no news in the next few weeks you will probably be able to get in around .0003 again or lower. Still has long term potential...but it is time to follow through with news that isn't speculative.
The statement concerning the product being avaliable nationwide I believe has nothing to do with the announcement tomorrow, but the fact that it is currently available nationwide through Amazon.com... I would not read too much into it at this point.
Amendment has been filed with the Florida Department of State Division of Corporations. It was filed on 12/9/14 and can be found with a simple search for Pleasant Kids, Inc at sunbiz.org. It will be interesting when the actual document posts as well as the effective date. If it is indeed the document on the Pleasant Kids facebook it will reduce common shares to 5,000,000,000.
I think you are giving the opinion of people on IHub far too much value. I think it is simply a PR strategy a lot of these penny stock companies use. Instead of one PR you get two out of the same story and keep your name out there. Whatever your opinion is of Rico or PLKD you have to admit this latest PR/social media campaign has gotten a lot of people talking and bringing money into the stock.
8-k filing coming next week per facebook post.
Launching a website like this is incredibly inexpensive and can be done by virtually anyone, anywhere. Many businesses give their services away for promotional purposes, in this case the more traffic the site generates the more marketable the services become and the more money you generate through ad revenue. Let's not forget Viper promoted this guy's site as well...might be farid's new side business...lol
Looking at the site it seems that it has only been around since October. I highly doubt he is currently charging for his promotion, but is instead offering his services for free to drive traffic to his site so that he may do so in the future. You are correct though same promotional crap the other guys put out, it is completely meaningless and just brings more questions to vipers credibility. Good advice for companies and investors alike is to stay away from promoters.
The only thing I have been able to get confirmation on is the pilot project in Collier County through local government officials. Granted I haven't tried contacting any officials in Sri Lanka so I cannot speak to the validity of the PR's there. It would be safe to assume they are legitimately trying to sell their products there, but there could be a big disconnect in the number they would like to sell compared to what the government might be interested in buying. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Typically you will receive a LOI after a bid has already been submitted and won, there will then be several iterations of contract language passed back and forth between the two parties attorneys before the contract is finally signed. I have not read the bid request posted that is being referred to here, but it would have nothing to do with a LOI received by Viper, if in fact said letter exists. It would be nice to see some sort of documentation , but speaking from experience most companies are very tight with any and all documentation in an attempt to protect trade secrets. It is especially a problem in Asia where intellectual rights mean little to nothing. Right now about the only thing any of us know for sure is that there is a product they have that they can sell, and there is a pilot in Collier County, Florida. Aside from that I urge everyone on both sides of the discussion to take a wait and see approach.
The pilot project in Collier County has been confirmed. I can forward the email I received from the to anyone who would like to see it.
Collier County disagrees.
It is actually not a scam. I have verified with collier county that there is a pilot project in south florida, so there is an actual product they are selling. There are some questions that remain such as manufacturing capacity, actual orders, and product performance during these on going pilots. There are two plays here. Flip on the fluctuations and hold a small amount for long term potential growth. I like to speculate on companies with a product that I deem have potential to grow long term, so I hold a small block of Viper, but if you do not flip stocks like this you are leaving a lot of money on the table.
The mj sector has a lot of buzz right now but you will not see any major players get in until the conflict between state and federal law is resolved. Remember mj is still illegal under federal law and although we currently do not pursue prosecution in states where it has been legalized all it takes is a new president instructing the justice department to once again pursue this and it's game over for many of these plays. These plays are high risk/reward, the benefit of Viper is this is just one aspect of their LED business so a crackdown on pot production in the US will not cripple it.
The CNN link was an Ireport, this is pretty much the equivalent of a facebook post. No editorial vetting required.
I am also not a Viper cheerleader, I am cautiously optimistic at this point.
I believe the email from collier county I posted verified the led project there. Not saying Viper hasn't disappointed with PR's in the past, but saying they have done nothing verifiable is simply not true. It seems they are attempting to change their ways with their venture into the LED market. If they would simply update their financials and filings it would go a long way toward restoring confidence in Viper and make most of us feel as though they had changed their ways. Of course some large orders being filled would help also.
I am not going to say Appollo can't produce an enormous amount of LED's, simply because I am not aware of their production process. With modern production techniques such as just in time being the norm it is possible to produce massive amounts of goods from a relatively small facility. I think where the true scrutiny lies is how many LEDs are ordered from Sri Lanka. How many street lamps are actually in their cities? Will Viper be compensated for over seeing the install, or are they just simply the middle man here. It is not the pr itself but the lack of detail and follow up that has most people concerned and in the end is what really holds Viper back. For instance, the reason I posted a copy of the email earlier was because it simply confirmed there is an actual product. The information to this point has been so vague I like many here wondered if the product was even real. It is and that is a step in the right direction for Viper, but it still has a long way to go. If they intend to be a legit company there is a lot of trust to win back. This is the first of what needs to be many steps that include updated financials. If(big if here) we get those I believe we may have turned a corner here.
As someone who builds casino's all over the United States I can tell you this is not the case. Some of the modern decks have LED's but the lamp lights are almost universally high pressure sodium(excepts where they want something to look pretty). The video surveillance is also not integrated into the lighting design even though they may be installed in close proximity, this is largely due to an easily accessible power supply for the cameras. Part of this is simply due to the design and bid process as well. Electrical engineering firms and contractors design and install lighting, audio visual firms design and install security systems. Common sense would suggest they be done in coordination with one another, however in construction like most industries you will find common sense mostly vacant from the process.
Well it also verifies there is a real product that Apollo and Viper are trying to sell and that this is something governments and municipalities would be interested in should it prove to be cost effective. I really wasn't sure there was a product prior to this, anyone can throw together a website with some pictures of LED lights. What Viper needs to do now is get their financials in order. If these pilot projects perform well and orders follow it will become an easier sale to other governments and private businesses around the world. Farid may be onto something this time, just have to wait and see, and if something does happen it will not be overnight. If I were Apollo or Farid I would be selling these things to casinos. These lights are perfect for parking lots and decks with the built in cameras.
I inquired about the previous press release to Collier County to verify the PR was factual and it appears to check out. I have copied it below, deleting my name for obvious reasons.
Mr. ---------
Thank you for your inquiry. Please find response to your questions below:
Q: Does this mean all of the street lamps in Collier County?
A: No. Currently we have no funding in our budget to convert lighting fixtures from 400 watt high pressure sodium luminaries to LED luminares. Therefore, we will not be replacing all of the street lights in Collier County at this time. What we are working on at this time is to extend our pilot study project on Rattlesnake Hammock Road from a test area of four street lights, to approximately 40 street lights. We will also monitor the operations and savings for a period of one year. In the future should funding become available and the expansion of the pilot program is successful, we will consider expanding the program.
Q: Will these also have Apollo's wireless camera integrated with the lights?
A: No. there are no plans to incorporate the camera into the LED Luminaires.
Q: What is the expected energy savings for taxpayers as we move to a more energy friendly infrastructure?
A: The expected energy savings, plus maintenance savings on the Rattlesnake Hammock Road 40 luminares pilot project are approximately; $7,000 per/year with Simple Payback in about 3.90 years. We will determine if this estimate is correct after the end of our one year test/monitoring period

This was just a basic R&D PR the rest of the fluff was just to let investors know they are still pursuing previous endeavors. If they had put out a major pr today when a lot of people have already dialed out for the holiday weekend it would have raised a lot more questions about leadership and strategy. This is a crumb, hang around for a slice of pie(which may or may not come) or take your money and run. JUST DON'T LET YOUR EMOTIONS GET IN THE WAY OF A BUSINESS DECISION, if you do you are destined to fail.
Sorry to all of the Obama supporters here but who wins the election has no implication on the LED's America build out. $875,000 isn't a lot of money to raise and if their product is that good Viper will fund the build out with the potential money they make with the Sri Lanka deal or another investor will. I am as optimistic as anyone about Viper's potential but if we are waiting on a mere 875,000 from the government to build this facility we are in trouble on this front.
That is actually not what the press release stated. It stated that Viper was awarded exclusive rights to sell LEDs America lights in India and Saudi Arabia for five years, it did not say the governments of those countries had granted Viper a monopoly in the industry for 5 years. It also doesn't state when that period begins. I do agree with you though in the past Vipers PR's have been lacking of substance and have released information of possible deals prematurely. This could have been the pump and dumps (definitely when there were paid promotions involved) and it could have been just a bad PR strategy. I will say also that the past few PR's have contained more details than in the past. This definitely has potential and some momentum right now, but I would like to see a PR that at least details the shipment and installation of the lights needed for the trial period in Sri Lanka.
I think the PR said the minister was traveling to the U.S. on October 16 so in all likelihood he didn't check out the system until yesterday or perhaps today....patience is needed here...good news will come soon though.
Don't panic if news doesn't hit tomorrow, I would expect something by Friday or early Monday. These types of deals do not get made in one day.
Most of the people on this board doing the heavy promotion were short term flippers, doing the very same thing the "MM's" were doing and they were complaining about. The thing that stands out to me with Viper is they have sales and marketing agreements for products that are actually already available on the market. You can currently go to the LED's America website or PowerDisc site and buy those products right now, so the potential for profit is there. Those who were here talking about "pennyland in a week" were here to flip on a short term spike based upon press releases. What will really get more investors into this stock and paying close attention to Viper is real profits. Charts are great, but if a company lacks long term profitability it isn't that attractive to serious long term investors. I think we are on that path, its just going to take longer than a week or a month to get there.
Everyone needs to relax a little bit. The news we have gotten so far has been great, but the PR that is really going to make this thing take off is when they release details on the merger and announce the nationwide retailer. What this news has done is give investors more confidence that VPER is really going to follow through with what they said and it has helped to stabilize the stock.
You guys do realize that NITE and other similar MM's use complex algorithms that are managed by computer software. Most of the time there is no human involvement at all, its "robotrading." They can't be beaten.... but you can play their game and make profit by doing so.

Guest_286: we sent out a Letter to the Shareholders about two weeks ago. This letter lays out our plan and we are pushing as hard as we can on this plan. Should things work per the plan, the target is a solid profitable $25 million before years end. In addition, should we be able to complete certain acquisition activities, we believe we can far exceed this target. As to moving to a higher trading platform, to get to e.g. NYSE/AMEX, we need to have revenue in the range of $30 million - $40 million or so. Yes, that is what we would like to do
I really do not understand how something like this AT&T mention in the 8-k can be taken so out of context. This does not signal a sudden seismic shift in the stock price, what it does signal however is a transition from the development phase to the deployment phase. Only invest in this company what you are comfortable losing and hold the stock until it takes off, goes belly up, or is bought out.
