Although I am a little worried about the production, there isnt a whole lot of oil coming out at the moment, I think I read somewhere that they want to try to get 333k barrels by the end of the month... Thats not an overly signigficant ammount. At least they are producing though and hopfully without batista at the helm there can be a bit more finacial and business management to pay down those debts and eventually start turning things around
Yeah I do, but after some reserch I felt like they still have quite a few assets, and they seem to have a strong team in place with many of the former Petrobras guys at the helm. It also seems like there is a bit of support to try to keep this company from going under. So Im just hoping that I might have stumbled on something that could potentially rebound.
Seems like lately all my investments seem to be in Brazil
Hey guys, new to this one. Hoping for some good things from here.
So lie to me and tell me I made the right decision
Weeee up up up!!! Hoping for a big week here, would love to test .30
Loving this company right now, great volume!
LOL monest remember when 1.34 was "BARGIN PRICES, YOU WOULD BE A FOOL NOT TO BUY AT THIS HERE COMES THE BOUNCE! TO DA MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I know I remember that time, not so long ago.
Im thinking well be in the .90s for next week. And that bounce or 5 day slide or whatever was talked about in a earlier post, all they are talking about there is that it was red for 5 days. Then for one day it went up about .03 and then slipped to the beauty number we are at now.
I thought we would be at this point last week but i guess I'm a week behind.
Big test to see how strong that magical buck support is. I remember how hard it was to break when we were climbing lets see how it will hold going the other way.
Boy the bottom of the ocean is the limit with this pos
That's what I'm talking about. Once the inventory is gone and government swallowed the profits FnF will have no goods to sell and no money to pick up more with
There really arnt very many bad loans these days. 08 was a huge adjustment. The markets always need to have equilibrium. Things were over inflated, all these mortgages now are reasonable again and better reflect economic conditions.
Mortgage lending has been refined a bit as well. The massive impossible mortgage approval has been reeled in a bit. For now.
Mortgages should be more practical although I'm already noticing with my investment properties they have increased at old rates but are still affordable.
So yeah i think your right there.
I think though if a person wants to but a place and the price is right and they can practically afford it even in tough times and the bank is going to give them a realistic approval rating, then sure they will buy the place even if it is a FnF home
All i ever refer to and care about is net profit. I don't really care what a company grosses.
And yes i believe that FnF are going to be liquidated. I think the wind down period that's being talked about is simply a selling off of all FnF stockpiled securities. I think its already started and this is why we are seeing such huge profits.
So housing prices are at lower prices then in recent memory. Yet FnF are making record profits on selling mortgages. Either the volume is astronomical which i think it is but also because they have cut costs which drives up net profit. I don't think they are picking up new securities like they used to. I think they are selling what they have and the government is reaping the profits. Once they are exhausted in inventory they will just naturally go away, there won't be any cash left to bulk up their securities so they will no longer compete with other mortgage lenders.
Once buying slows and inventory starts running out you won't see these kind of profits any longer stock will fall and that's the swan song for these babies
And none of it to go to shareholders
So what are you getting at ?
This is it folks the week we take a run at a buck!
Here we goooooooooooooooooo! To da basement!!!!!!
May was a different scenario then now it won't run up to 2 like that again, not next week.
We will be flirting with a dollar next week
Oh man enough with the shorts covering already, every day the shorts are getting blamed. A company comes out saying they invest 1.3 billion in shorting and the stock don't get affected.
Its not the shorts its a case of the stock sliding to its worth.
Haha 2 dollars by the end of the week now eh.
Little green gets everyone a little overzealous.
Get your flip in it will be red again in the morning
Today could be the day the bleeding stops and might see some green. I won't call it a bounce or rebound but just stop the slide.
Although it will probably resume tomorrow and we will be testing support at a buck next week
That's money going to government coffers that will do nothing for FnF
???? What ????
Anyways. Surely we will see some green today. Stop the bleeding!
Every day has monster news come out! Yet were still down tending.
Lets see if anything comes of it, that would be the monster news
When was the last time we saw some green ??
Be testing the buck support next week
Did the government actually acquire any shares in FnF when they bailed them out all those years ago, and if they did acquire a stake in the companies how much is it ?
Hmmmm, interesting. First we have herd that a hedge fund has come out AGAINST FnF. Betting on it to loose.
There is gonna be a shake up in the Hedige world. Now you know they are going to start lobbying on the site of Corker.
1.3 Billion bet that these companies are gonna keep sliding down. Guess we are gonna see who wins
INNNNNN THIS CORNER!!! PERRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
And the Challenger.....
Singing a different tune then a couple weeks ago but i think you figured it out pretty good.
I think there could be some strong news in the future, gonna have to wait until government is back in session but prices should keep sliding until then. Good chance to get budget shares for the patient person
I think were gonna see 1.10 by the end of the week and start testing the 1 dollar support next week or the one following unless something comes out of the pipeline that's positive
Yeah your bang on. Heavy dollars went in for the big earnings report and its been on a steady slide down since then. It was trading in the 1.50s a few weeks ago, then down to the 1.40s so on and so forth.
If this pace keeps going we should see a buck in the next 2 weeks.
Gonna need some serious NEWS not noise to change course I think.
And the downtrend continues, slow steady predictable slide to a buck.
Thinking we may see the 1.12-1.20 range for most of next week.
Maybe we will get some actual good NEWS this weekend to boost shares up a bit.
Hope no one is holding on to those 1.50s we saw a few weeks back.
Have a good weekend all :)
Mmmm no not usually quite that low. That's trouble those don't go anywhere.
Gotta love the volume i agree there, nothing worse then not being able to execute a trade due to low action :(
Well boys and girls naacp rant didn't really do anything for pps today did it ??
That's the difference between news and noise. But we all learn at different paces.
Will be very interesting to see if naacp is gonna pursue this anymore or if that was a 1 time vent from their camp
Well that was enlightening.
I have a sudden urge to hit the casino
Im gonna have to agree with you there, Although as I have stated before and stick by it. Under current conditions this is a terrible investment.
However that being said I cant help but think its also a foolish move to walk away before the last page of the story has been written.
This stock is gonna move big, either up TO DA MOON!!!!
Or crash and burn down to worthless like a comet.
Just gotta wait and see.
What is with the American love affair with Lobbying ????
That's all these articles are is Lobbying, it again really holds no value to the situation at all. In fact the article is just a bit of a rant that I kinda lost interest in, forced myself to skim over and trudge through it. Obama dosnt support CW bill ?? Really ?
I dunno that half hour broadcast of him the other week I recall him praising CW bill and the steps forward into winding down FnF or whatever the hell he said. It sure didn't sound like not supportive to me.
I do believe though this adds interest though, but as MH said if anything it might just force Obama to come out and clearly spell where he stands on the matter for all those slower people out there.
I don't think its gonna really move or shake anything tomorrow, maybe a bit of a run so the flippers can do their thing, but this again isn't anything that's going to make sustainable gains in the price of shares.
I took a mental note of stockmans claim last Thursday this would break 2 dollars by the end of this week. I'm very much excited and looking forward to the .80 cent run tomorrow :)
Its great to never be wrong!
And ill be sure to make a note that in the next 30 days this will be at 2.40 as you claim
I'm gonna go out and put my house on this based on your claims o great oracle and all seeing eye of stock wisdom
bawk bawk !
UP 1 CENT!!!!!!!!! 15 DOLLARS BY EOD
TO DA MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNN !!!!!!!!!!!!!
FMCC
:P
That's going back to what i mentioned earlier. You get a mortgage based on your income. That solves the whole issue. So Joe schmo sits down at the bank and gets rejected on his 250 000 dollar mortgage because he makes 20k a year.
It is wrong and irresponsible for someone to lend a person that kind of money because he made his cell phone payments and his credit card with a 500 dollar limit on time. That puts people into debt slavery and leaves nothing left over. Boom hot water tank goes innate house 2000 dollar bill, that person is now officially toast.
Its not right based on credit to expect people to walk such a fine financial line every month for 20-25 years.
If all they can afford is a 1 bedroom condo for 70 000 then that's it. That's the way it works you can't spend money you don't make. Best off reinvesting in themselves to increase their income for the bigger house they want.
Nothing to debate. Change the system all you have to do is approve mortgages based on peoples income instead of their credit rating. Case closed problem solved. You never would have had the 08 melt down and were no longer talking about the risks of guaranteeing sketchy mortgages.
Good debate though! Stimulating.
NEXT!!!!
its like the media isn't it, say anything enough and eventually someone is gonna believe it or you might just be right at some point
Startin to feel some heat eh, you were pretty confident a few weeks back.
Either way, if Reed proposes his bill to just tweak FnF that should breathe some life back into this thing. Is it enough to bring it north of 2 i dunno.
The big factor i think for if this goes north of 2 again is what happens once FnF pays off their debts. Everyone is waiting for that to happen but that dosnt matter. What matters is what will the government do then? If they take 60% of the profits or whatever the equivalent of the ammount of shares they hold and then give the rest to shareholders then we are talking!
However if they continue to reap majority of the profit to push back the national debt celing again or fund other federal projects, you will see this thing take continuous hits and spiral under a dollar
I dunno what to tell people,
Its not ARCA. Its not the shorts, or the Hedgies or the day traders etc...
Its simply the fact that the government has their thumb all over this baby, and the government wants FnF replaced in 5 years.
Coupled with the government reaping all the profits, I mean 4.4 billion last quarter, nothing left to send down the vine to the shareholders.
The only reason this stock isn't floored already is because of all the people holding fistfuls of 2.50+ hoping for a rebound.
Since Corker brought this to reality and showed the government is indeed serious about replacing FnF, stock has been trending down.
Will it recover ??? Its going to take some concrete news for that to happen, someone like Reid to introduce an alternative bill and it to get taken serious. All this rumour stuff isn't going to move something that's so anchored by negativity and I guess some people on here don't get that.
As it stands, FnF will simply continue to sell off Securities, make massive profits until their supply of mortgages are spent, and since they are no longer taking on new loans and mortgages they will fade away causing shares to dive once and for all since they have nothing left to sell.
Something might change but until it does this is the way it stands, and I cant believe people are still surprised ?
Watch it shoot to 1.50 tomorrow now :-/ lol
