Well, there IS one guy that appreciates posts like these and Crossball's too. This guy is soooooo thankful for you two to blame and criticize Tiger for Fuse's colossal failure, which of course takes the heat off the guilty perpetrayer. You may actually get a registered letter of thanks from Tuffin for deflecting the heat to Tiger.
I don't know if MP will be the end-all cure-all in supplements, but as bgrass used to say, "watch and learn" how an aggressive company markets Tiger.
As for Crossball blaming Tiger for Fuse's failure, how about substituting Daymond John's name in place of Tiger's in all the rantings. So Daymond is lying straight up too?
Bottom line FOR ALL OF THIS ... is can the proprietary and applied for tech do what is claimed and said by virtually all connected to Fuse? Can this tech encapsulate small enough molecules to make more items transdermally and sublingually?
If that science does not exist, then why was the company started in the first place? Most posters were not here when EVERYTHING in all Fuse p.r.s was about the speed and efficacy of it's drop sublingual and transdermal tech.
The screw up can be easily traced to the initial sublingual drop launch that was delayed for nearly a year and came out as another dietary supplement with sublingual absent from all marketing. Did FDA requirements cause all this? ... SOMETHING HAPPENED at that pivotal time in the company and Fuse lost virtually all of its competitive advantage, BESIDES heading to retail with the worst marketing decisions OF ALL TIME!!!
but, it's all Tiger's fault ... right?
If Tiger and DJ knew they were lying OF COURSE they were at fault. Major trouble if that were the case. When was the last time Crossball heard Tiger use the word game-changing? Certainly not when the company had begun the downhill slide. Face it folks. The products couldn't sell with zero marketing. How Tiger gets the blame for the marketing failure is a joke. Does he get the blame for ALL the broken p.r.s starting with Dick's, Mission, Excel, etc. too?
I always believed in the tech in my prior responses to you wex.
you have been consistent and correct in your posts.
still, hard to believe David Berkoff M.D. (Duke Univ. etc.) would have signed on as a board director, (I know he was given shares),and make public statements if the tech was bogus.
and it does not even enter your mind that your entire premise might be totally off the mark.
who said they are. it's not hard to leave Fuse in the dust marketing-wise ... they already have with Tiger wearing their colors.
have you ever seen a company do less with more to offer than Fuse?
sure MP may have asked Tiger to see if Nike would do shoes and a shirt in lime green. Its called innovative and aggressive marketing. Fuse does not know of innovative marketing. (maybe Nike saw Tiger's hard to see profile on the SIDE of the drop boxes and would not make an appointment with such amateurs)
if by all this you mean the lime shoes and shirt to go with the bag ... yes.
do you think the lime green shoes and lime green shirt happened by accident?
exactly! Tiger was not lying.
The deception may be proven out to have been the mechanics between MP and Tuffin.
I feel there is a definite connection whereby Tuffin jumped a sinking ship ... by his ineptness! ... and used Fuse contractual assets ... proprietary science and applied for patents ... (guarantee MP gets those!) for his own advantage. I remember Tuffin throwing a small sum ...15k, into the Frost mix ... that seemed odd at the time.
If any of the tech is proven out to be true, it will be in the hands of a company that knows how to market its product line and has big money folks ... Frost et al, to work to get FDA approval of sublingual products on the market. Even if the products do not get FDA approval but still have the Fuse tech that DOES allow for less caffeine, faster working, more potent with less ingredients etc, we shareholders will know that we boarded the train one car too early.
How about the way Tiger was marketed today? He was a walking ad for MP without needing the logo! He had the brand new MP black bag with lime green MP logos, and his Nike shoes had a VERY noticible lime green color in the midsole of the black Nikes, AND his Nike shirt also was the same vibrant lime green that is the singular flagship color for MusclePharm. It still only had the Nike logo, and obviously Nike approved the color, but MAN! do we now see with our own eyes what smart marketing is capable of! Oh, what we could have had and SHOULD have had! No one in the world moves the needle like Tiger. Second place is nowhere in sight!
Upon the bed, before the whole company, there lay a nearly liquid mass of loathsome -- of detestable putridity.
do you think they never had real plans to come to retail with sublingually marketed drops and transdermally marketed roll-on?
bgrass was right all along about exposing so many slip shod Tuffin decisions. Wonder how they landed Andy Murray at such a late stage?
Anyone thinking this company was going to make it until 2017, (with or without Tiger), is a fool.
For those of us that believe that Fuse has no technology to deliver various compounds in drop form, that means everybody in the company ... all the Cure people, (Malicki et al), Tiger, all the board members ... start with Dr. David Berkoff who was team physician for Duke University and a sports medicine advisor to the NBA, Daymond John, etc. are all too willing to knowingly align themselves with a sham company and make so many false public statements about Fuse. Most likely, Tiger's people met the Cure people and felt comfortable that the technology worked. I feel positive that everyone involved believed the retail drops were going to be Fuse's initial foray into the sublingual arena.
The sea change came about when the sublingual drops were delayed for nearly a year and then debuted as a "dietary supplement" with sublingual no where in sight. The company was founded on its drop technology. All anyone needs to see is the wording on the Enerjel box that does not mention anything about it being a pain reliever. Why? It would then have to have additional time and money spent to be tested and approved in the rigorous pain category by the FDA. Ditto with the drops and the FDA. Tuffin was never able to raise the cash that would have allowed the more expensive FDA testing and all our products hit retail as regular same old, same old, products with HORRIBLE marketing starting with our non informative boxes and of course our #1 star's picture barely visible and on the SIDE of the box not seen at all when put on the retail shelves. No, in my opinion, this has not been a sham at all. Certainly not on Tiger's part. All our products should have been funded for FDA transdermal testing, and funded for sublingual testing. IMO, this company is not a purposeful sham with so many being a part of it, no, it is a case study on how totally inept funding and a joke of a realistic marketing plan ran a company into the ground. Tuffin was doing most of this with mirrors. I do not believe Tiger Woods was ever involved with anything re. Fuse that HE KNEW to be false. As to the technology, or "technology", take your pick, it will be interesting if MP new products down the line will feature any of it.
love that the athlete signed is the problem for you. so sorry that Tiger does not make his sponsorship wishes according to you.
so sorry for you that Tiger is no longer with maybe the most inept company in the pinkies.
when will you start on Ortiz and Murray?
better look in the mirror Cross. (after you have a serious one on one with Tuffin).
your issue is with yourself for buying the stock, and with Tuffin for running Fuse into the ground.
I pretty much bought the stock when Tiger came on board. I am losing cash same as you. Difference is I only blame myself as Tuffin ... NOT TIGER! gave us SO many warning signs of inept management.
Why don't you check signals with Daymond John.
tell Zoe, GNC no longer carries Enerjel. (pathetic sales as a result of zero marketing)
Paul Rodriguez is still on the website as well. More than three months ago, i.r. at Fuse said he did not renew his contract.
That whole celeb faceboard has needed a corrected status for sometime. Right now Fuse has WAY more pressing issues!!!
an example of smart marketing. shoes still Nike, but MP's color more than does the job on the subconscious tie-in.
oh, what could have been with sublingually super fast-acting drops and Tiger Woods as the face of the product.
(wonder if MP will hide Tiger on the side of a MP box as an homage to Fuse?)
that assessment took in the science behind the products. at that time all systems going forward were geared to the science and speed of the products. if you remember, those projected sales figures were quite impressive. no way, for example, would the drops have had those liberal sales forecasts if they were going to come out at retail as dietary supplements ... just like every other energy product in a too crowded field.
Fuse had a true shot at breaking into this field with a truly different approach. And they blew it ... BIG TIME!
you better go back to virtually every press release of any kind ... from even before the Tiger signing ... re. the coming sublingual drops and why they were so new and different from all the competition. all the company talk was about how much faster the drops would be going direct to the bloodstream ... (Fuse was founded on this principle!!!), compared to all the others that went through the stomach.
no, they NEVER delivered what was originally promised ... namely sublingually marketed drops, and transdermally marketed Enerjel.
was it because of the time and expense of FDA approval following more rigorous testing than the easier "dietary supplement" route?
at this point ... what difference does the reason for backing away from sublingual even matter anymore!!!
an energy product that would be faster than the competition because it had proprietary science that allowed it to reach the bloodstream in minutes ... AND Tiger Woods as the face of the company!!! Are you kidding me? This should have been a NO-BRAINER Tuffin!!!!!!!!!!!!
So Brad Pyatt who stated MP was interested in Fuse's delivery system, Daymond John who talked publicly about the delivery system, Macular Health who talked about the science that they were licensing, etc. were all misleading or even lying, right?
Fuse does have the proprietary science and applied for patents, and the one 30 year lease of an applied for patent, that all have to do with sublingual and transdermal applications.
Fuse's earliest statements re. the delivery system was that they were going to bring retail products to the marketplace to get the buying public used to seeing more sublingual and transdermal applications in the marketplace, while attempting the pharma angle behind the scenes. The coming SUBLINGUAL drops with all the hoopla re. sublingual advantages over the rest of the energy field were delayed the better part of a year and when they came out, Fuse marketed the drops as just another dietary supplement with zero mention of their vaunted sublingual properties. I sold some shares then. I should have sold it all. Fuse's lack of capital kept them from doing the necessary testing with FDA to be able to call Enerjel transdermal, or even a pain reliever, or the drops sublingual. My biggest mistake was to think papa Adler would use his connections to fund all this. My erroneous thinking came from the fact that both Adlers were issued more than 6 million shares each, and why did papa Adler even get shares if he wasn't going to get involved?
So when Rory jumped to Nike, do you think he had shareholders of his prior company in mind? ... or before that when Nike paid a fortune to get Tiger from (Titleist? cant remember), was it Tiger's job to talk to prior shareholders?
Shareholders who bought because Tiger added gravitas and legitimacy to the company, (count me as one of them), have ONLY Fuse to blame for the complete fiasco. Tiger is so lucky to get out from under this ineptly run company that was a big thorn in his branding ability. Damn right he loves whoever is on his bag.
He owes shareholders nothing. Everyone accesses a company and buys at their own risk.
your words re. Tiger ... simply criminal.
even with a rich white knight, the products need smarter marketing. just follow Enerjel's journey with GNC. First into corporate stores for a trial run. Of course poor sales with no marketing and no reasons on the box to buy the product. Then available on GNC website with same results.
Fuse did a good job in getting the product into GNC initially, with the potential to be in the additional 6000 stores if the product sold thru initially. And then ......... zero marketing, poor wording on the box ... = zero sales = GNC today without Enerjel.
Fuse could be a classic case study in college marketing classes to show what happens when a company has a good product with great potential ... (Tuffin's 200 million in sales!) ... and fails to market the product.
So its Tiger's fault that Fuse did nearly zero marketing and had pathetic sell-thru? Where do you want to start with the Tiger bashing? ... Dick's? ... Mission? ... Amazon? ... the 200 Florida pharmacies? ... GNC? ... sublingual and transdermal dropped from Fuse in all marketing? ... the Durschslag lawsuit? ... the nearly year delay on drop launch? ... Macular Health? ... etc. ... ad nauseum
how do you think Tiger, and especially his branding contingent, have felt all along watching this utter fiasco unfold with Fuse on his bag and use of his photos at the discretion of Fuse.
No, your Tiger bashing is completely off base and he is LUCKY! that he is out from under a company that has been a total disaster in nearly every single step it has taken since he came on board. The way that Fuse Science has conducted itself during the Tiger era means Tiger doesn't owe Fuse anything at all except to say "Good riddance!"
p.s. Fuse left on its own is finished due to an absence of needed capital. (Tuffin doesn't know how to market anyway ... how's that Florida Panther partnership going these days Stru?), If MP or anyone else does not bail them out Fuse is food for the worms. MP et al = last hope ...
That the play is the tragedy "Fuse,"
And its hero the Conqueror Worm.
Is there a company on the pinks, or any exchange for that matter, who has done a worse job of marketing their products and running their company than FUSE? How many broken promises? Far too many to list here. (hint ... start with Dick's Sporting Goods.)
Yeah, right! Tiger should go down with this sinking, stinking ship that currently trades less than half a cent!!!
see post 74882
the Tiger bashing is a joke on this board. His bag carried the Fuse name, his likeness was on the drop boxes ... who thinks he was the fool that put it on the SIDE OF THE BOX?, he was on MSNBC twice, his photos were on the floor displays ... all TEN OF THEM, his photo was on the stand-up cards that Golf Galaxy could use by the drop displays, etc etc. He was doing his part to let Fuse use him in promoting the drops. It is not Tiger who is at fault here. It is 100% the fault of mgt. to expect this whole thing to make it on a shoe-string budget, and to actually believe that social media would bring in big sales ... how's that Kardashian besty working out Daymond? The plan of giving shares to the jocks in return for almost zero social media in return, turned out to be a marketing disaster. I actually believed the connection to papa Adler, (he of the hedge fund connection), would help Fuse to obtain capital but I was totally wrong there. Some of the board members were players too, but Tuffin failed to convince any real money to come in.
Mgt took ridiculous salaries and perks at the inception of the company. That should have been the red flag right there. I took a long-shot flyer on the pharma angle, but should have sold when the drops and enerjel came to retail without marketing the sublingual and transdermal properties. We DID have something in our tech, or everyone connected was lying and I do not believe Tiger or Daymond were lying on CNBC. Both videos still available on website. I just hope MP has combined with Fuse for the tech and that it could somehow benefit DROP shareholders, but that may be the longest shot yet!
Something I noticed on tigerwoods.com a few months ago. It is the same today.
When "sponsors" are clicked, Fuse was and still is listed first in Tiger's sponsor list. But, the Fuse logo was removed on the left of the Fuse words. I found this to be an odd quirk on the website, but the Fuse logo is still not there ... just an empty space. It has been like that for a good long while, but not sure the date when the logo disappeared. The Fuse name and words have never changed on the website.
MusclePharm is now listed somewhere below Fuse.
again!
Fuse does not own one patent. The company acquired all Durschlag's proprietary science and applied for patents, (save for the one he kept and leased to Fuse for 30 years, in exchange for a little cash, (about 75,000), and 6M DROP shares.
lots of speculation re. MP and Fuse. I don't know if any positives, (shareholder-wise), will come of it, but one thing I do know for certain and that is that Fuse does not have sufficient capital to run the business. Whatever is going on has already taken place. Tuffin will broadcast shortly.
If the technology has ever had the "stuff" that Tiger and Daymond John publicly said it did on CNBC, then the "proprietary science", and "patents applied for", (Fuse does not hold one patent!!!), and the 30 year lease on an applied for patent still owned by Hank D., may be what MP wants. If MP is not interested in our technology we have zilch.
we'll know shortly from Tuffin.
Fuse has not had the capital to make additional product for some time now. They have been using existing inventory to fill declining sales for many months. No wonder the company has not penetrated new markets for so long. No capital for pharma forays either. All effort has been in cutting costs against a meager sales attempt with virtually no capital to market the product.
...... and darkness and decay and the red death and bgrass, held illimitable dominion over all .........
Virtually ALL news from Fuse prior to the initial drop launch was totally about the sublingual properties and advantages of both drops. Much faster because of bypassing the GI tract and more potent as the stomach removes a certain amount of everything that passes through. We were about to unveil an energy product that really could have differentiated itself from a crowded field, and the word of mouth re. the sublingual benefits ... SPEED! ... would have been phenomenal!!! (even with the package actually hiding Tiger if you can believe that!).
WHATEVER THE REASON WAS ... (does not matter now!) ... the drop launch was delayed for many months and when it hit the shelves, all mention of our trump card was mia. Sublingual was erased from all Fuse news going forward.
Fuse never recovered from the change of sublingual drops to drops marketed more or less like everyone else.
Tuffin news shortly ...
about 5 months ago, I emailed ir to ask if Paul Rodriguez was still with Fuse. The response was that "Paul Rodriguez did not renew his contract with Fuse". Still he has remained on the website all this time. I wonder how many of our jocks never renewed even though the website makes it look like they are all still onboard.
a cameo to remind you of your past and use your "lol" one more time ... LOL!
(How's that sell-thru looking to you now Stru?)
so why did you give a "lol" response when I posted last year that the drop sell-thru was pathetic, and the company might not make it through 2014?
if it wasn't for the R/S for any of us longs, I would have been saying good news from St. Louis ... PF, and EF were 5 deep where there were only the same two for 6 weeks last time I checked. The R/S keeps me from caring anymore ........... last post
The last time I saw a photo of a batch of both drops, it was from one of the stores near a golf tournament, (Hilton head I think), whereby floor displays with plenty of product, were sent out in the vicinity of the tournament. The products were not moving, even with the floor display, and they ended up on the retail shelf, just like the one posted here. I believe the photo is supposed to prove the products are moving and being ordered in larger quantities. I believe these are from the new Duane Reed displays, and not from larger re-orders. At least that is what happened to the original floor displays. Drops didn't sell well enough to support the larger quantities and the drops were relegated to the shelves to languish besides the Sheets products.
in the case of Fuse ... patience costs ... a lot!!!
longs should have sold when Fuse about faced re. marketing their products as sublingual and transdermal.
Fuse had nothing special to promote when they back tracked on all their previous touting and bragging about the delivery system of their products.
Not so sure he would be so cavalier about his reputation.
Fuse did not have the cash to get him for big bucks. No doubt he got "some" cash and shares.
I can't see a large enough financial payoff in this case, to get Daymond John to ever think about b.s.ing his public following.
You think he was lying. I definitely do not.
