You nailed it troyal. Hey old friend. Who would have thought I would have been right about this not going to the moon all those years ago? lol.
I started following this 5 years or so ago when the PPS was .05. We were "weeks away" from taking off and seeing $1.00!! Well, I'm still waiting. Any day now...any day. lol. Biggest sham I'm come across yet. I don't think Baltia will ever fly, but I hold out hope a miracle takes place and maybe I break even eventually. Need about 400% return to get there from here. I'd average down more, but this only goes down in the long term. Remember that. Unless you are flipping, you are losing it all.
Poor Baltia. Wronged at every turn for a decade. But they will not accept defeat! A testament to their share selling abilities at the very least.
I've been saying that for years. It hasn't stopped them from continuing to dangle the carrot and create unrealistic expectations for new investors...and old. Luckily we can now scoop up all these shares at rock bottom prices. Who knew 6 years ago when I first bought in, I would still be able to buy new shares 80% cheaper today. I was always told I would miss out if I didn't buy. lol.
"Outside factors have temporarily impacted our Mini Evacuation procedure and we expect these factors to be rectified in the near future."
If that is code for "we passed the evac with flying colors" I would be very surprised. So, no, that has not occurred to many people, imho.
BLTA is a bad stock unless you trade it or bought private placements dirt cheap. The trend has been DOWN year after year for many years and I don't see that changing based on Baltia's latest update.
Yep. Every day we are closer and closer. Darn it though, something always gets in the way. Hopefully they fly in 2015 to end the misery.
I've been wishing and hoping for 6 years? Have I been overly optimistic? When I got in, we were "two weeks away" from certification.
I expect the meeting will go a little something like this. Just a summary:
We would like to thank everyone for coming to our annual shareholders meeting. We moved up the meeting because we are so excited to share our progress with you. We are closer than EVER to certification. Just a few more small, but very important steps remain. The make this happen, all we need is some funding. Please support Baltia during this crucial period. We are almost home!
Bring your checkbooks!
I believe they prefer to tell their sugar coated tales over the phone rather than in writing.
I'm glad someone got my point. For everyone else, let's hope he is a lot closer to correct about Oct. 1st than he was about the dazzling makeover the plane was going to get.
It sounds like they are planning very extensive upgrades. Check out this interview.
Looks like you are catching on. The new excuse is that all of the shares being sold are because its someone that needs the money. lol. Just an innocent guy selling to pay his rent. lol. People are here to make money. Remember that. Don't despair though. Plenty of good things are happening right now with Baltia and I wouldn't get too upset about the price action until we see what happens next week. If this is still going backwards at that point, then it might mean the PPS can't overcome the mega millions of shares out there that people are trying to dump. Then it will be time to revise those $1 predictions. lol
I'll be shocked and pleasantly surprised if Baltia completes everything and ties it up with a nice little bow just in time for the airshow. It all sounds so perfect. It's why I have my doubts. Baltia doing exactly what everyone hopes for and expects isn't their area of expertise.
"P" stands for purchase. That isn't on the forms. If people want that discussion to end, Baltia should fill out the form as such. Until then, I find it impossible not to agree with your side of the story. Its in black and white on the forms.
Welcome to Baltia. Where hope ultimately leads to despair. After a good run, expect many delays and new promises that keep the hope alive. Good news for us though. Baltia will now begin enhancing their website! There was no point in working on it all along, as it is best to wait until the very last second. Looks like we should see the results in a few months. Only a few months to go! Closer than ever!
They are very elusive parts. Savvy investors know its best to wait until the last possible second to get things done. Baltia is right on track as usual.
This is good. Hopefully Baltia dutifully completes every step in the meantime to make this worthwhile come August. I look forward to some PRs stating as much along the way! I'm especially excited to hear about completion of pilot training. That has been in the making way too long now. For now, I'll enjoy the pop in PPS this will bring.
Whenever the PPS went down to real lows, the argument was always that Baltia would not bother to put out a fluff PR as they do not care about the PPS. But now they are withholding PRs from us that contain actual news about progress because they care about the PPS and don't want to waste them? lol!
I don't buy that they are withholding PRs. It sounds like a great excuse to keep people interested while nothing new has been completed.
They still have not completed the 7 week pilot training course that began in November of 2013. Your guess as to when they may complete something is as good as any. Nobody has a clue despite what they claim.
Pipa, this is what Orvie posted:
"I dont buy June 12 completion.I still think it will be in July.
The engines are still in the shop."
Then Delta pressed him him on it. Orvie said C & D need test flights.
It seems to flow. Basically, no engines, no pass. Am I missing something? lol. You have me thinking I'm nuts.
To me, it sounds very much like the 12th isn't happening. I think that is what he is talking about.
Here, this is from Baltia's quarterly report on 5/20:
4. Note Payable
On March 31, 2013 the note payable to Eastern Construction & Electric, Inc. was modified as to the repayment of the note. The repayment was modified to read "Company will repay the principal amount of $1,150,000 to lender on or before the second anniversary of the date upon which the company commences its revenue flight operations. The Company will pay accrued interest to date on or before the first anniversary of the date upon which the Company commences its revenue flight operations." All other terms of the agreement remain the same.
Interest accrued to March 31, 2014 is $345,000.
It could be a coincidence that Eastern Construction got $300k worth of stock on 6/2, but it might very well be the loan repayment. You can't tell from the form. People can choose to spin it however they deem fit.
I'm not sure what you consider substantial, but I can see the PPS doubling once they announce maintenance is complete and simulator training begins. I have a bad feeling none of that may ever take place, but that is beside the point. There will be excitement worthy of a PPS rise with any sign of progress with certification. Everyone is just waiting for that.
That is pretty good, but I don't understand all the fuss about it. I mean, their total current liabilities rose from $940,333 to $2,115,193 during the same period. If I don't pay my bills, I'll have more cash too. Its just a weird thing to focus on I guess. Can they just complete maintenance? Is that too much to ask?
YPSILANTI, Mich., Nov. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Baltia Air Lines (OTCBB:BLTA) is excited to announce the commencement of training for its initial cadre of pilots.
The 7 week course which began on November 11th consists of non-aircraft specific courses, aircraft specific courses and simulator sessions.
I would be very impressed if that entire cadre of pilots is still sitting around, waiting to move forward. Would they have to start over if the initial group packed it in? You have to wonder at this point.
Delta. Someone asked him about the seats and he answered the question. I don't believe he ever stressed the importance of the seats or how they were involved with the check. I don't have any reason to doubt Orvie at this point and appreciate his input.
But, but, we are all going to get rich when they fly!! ;)
For the first time in a while we have the actual reason for the delay in progress. Maintenance of the plane. Per Baltia:
"First off, our B747 aircraft is currently undergoing required maintenance in preparation of our inaugural flight. Upon the completion of maintenance, we will continue with the pilot and crew training and then move on to table top exercises, mini evacuation and proving flights."
We are 5 weeks into the said maintenance per Baltia's April PR. I hope completion is near. Nothing else will happen until its complete. Let's hope that plane is in perfect shape and they are merely putting in the finishing touches of a brand new interior. I won't even know what to think if we don't see a PR about this soon.
When a 7 week training course is not complete 6 months later, it requires more than patience. It requires an update from the company to its shareholders.
If its anything like the "7 week" training course that started in November 2013...I don't have high hopes that its any time soon. I sure wish Baltia would update us.
I'm just looking forward to hearing about actual progress made by Baltia in the certification program. I enjoy speculation as much as the next, but the simple fact is that they need to begin and complete simulator training before any of these steps can take place. This was all to be part of the "7 week" training course that began in November 2013. From what I understand, the hitch is that the manuals needed to be revised in order to proceed. I hope that is going well.
lol. You are forgiven. Hey, if you don't mind, put in an order @ .02. Maybe that can get me some shares at .015 right after.
I don't think a PR is coming Mithandir67. That is, unless they put out a PR stating that they plan to start simulator training in March. Kind of like they did in January when they said it would start in February.
You were under that impression about simulator training because some people gave you that impression. As I've been saying for a while, all of this PPS speculation, volume, etc is wonderful, but simulator training needs to start before we get ahead of ourselves.
EYE, last we heard from Baltia in regards to training was on 1/30/14. "Recently, Baltia's initial crew of pilots completed ground school and will begin simulator training in February."
Do you have any DD that states that have progressed any further? If it ain't written, it ain't said. I think that is the saying...
Considering the "7 week" training started in November, I'm excited to hear about its completion from the company itself.
Let's just make sure they complete training and get to the next phase before we get too worried about that. Some people have been saying that they recently started simulator training and it should be completed soon. That is good news, but it's just a rumor at this point. I would love to see a PR this week to confirm everything.
Good news eye. Does this mean that you can confirm that simulator training has commenced?
Here is an article written in August of 2009. The author claims Barry told him they would be flying by the end of the year.
http://theairlineblog.blogspot.com/2009/08/baltia-air-lines-20-year-old-startup.html
Here is another from 2011 where Igor told them they would be flying in the 2nd quarter of that year.

Those were just the first two links I clicked on. I'm sure you can find more fairly easily.
Hopefully this time they is correct.
