Does anyone else find it odd that there has been 0 coverage about this partnership news by anyone?

Reminds me of the days before the good ole days. Haha
Very strong messsge thar we ussually dont get and sounds like alot more then more ISTs.
"Aside from completing enrollment in the SUNRISE trial, our clinical focus is to enter into new clinical collaborations to further explore the combination potential of bavituximab with anti-PD-1 and PD-L1 in multiple tumor indications and we expect these activities to be quite visible over the coming months as the planning that is underway now, comes to fruition. "
Reminds me of the good ole days before blsck monday.

One thing that I found interesting from when king was wrapping up. He stated that bms had a immunoncology drug that had two similar look ins. The trial was stopped at the second loook in. Then the drug was approved 3 months later.
Another point that was addressed was the phase 3 trial design and why it is setup how it is. At 23:40 " another good point is we do have this second interm data look which could be very important because if we did see these same results as we saw from the phase 2 study at that point therw really could be a positive end point in this clinical trial".

Btw all questions were cut off during the live presentation but they are fully captured in the recording.
For any that were curious about the question session.

Count blackrock in for 12 million shares
I wouldn't be surprised come march yopp announces a randomized trial and the partnership for liver is announced after hours the same day.
Imo we are getting close

All the nexavar trials can be viewed here. The GIDEON trial is very interesting as well.

I disagree with your accessment of the data that was produced. You have to be careful when comparing this to the sharp trial. In that trial 54% of the patients were ecog 0 and in much better shape.
This data is better to be compared with the asian Pacific trial. This trial the patients are more inline with what we did the study on. Once you look at this I believe you will have a better appreciation of how much improvement really happened. This can be found at www.nexavar.com.
Ap trial:
Nex os 6.5 months
Placebo os 4.2 months
Nex TTP 2.8 months
Placebo TTP 1.4 months
Nex DCR % 35.3
Placebo DCR% 15.8
So I believe that this new combination in a study with the same enrollment criteria would paint a very different picture and could very well be the new SOC for liver cancer.
Rhyino
Defiantly aggressive of them to only target patients with ecog=2 . The whole sharp trial only had 8 ecog 2's.
Rhyino
A RESILIENT SUNRISE could be in the cards for (bayer and peregrine pharmaceuticals). A simple google search for the two produce a partnering page of bayers which (can't be navigated to) in a rare change or chance lists peregrine as partner for (vascular targeting agents) which I believe bavi is referred to.
I guess bavi and nexaver could be used in more combos then just liver if you think about it. It is in trials for a few things but not lung cancer which could leave a big hole in someone's oncology Hmm just have to draw your own conclusions I guess.

Hey FTM
Hope all is well. Do you have any expectations about the upcoming data presentation for the liver trial. Things have been pretty quiet since the old days.
Thanks in advance,

The link below details the results of bavituximab and ribavirin vs ebola work that was done back in late 2008. Could be of intrest to some.

The completion date got pushed back a year (dec 2014) study completion to (dec2015).
Keep in mind that we also dropped on the first 2nd line nsclc news leak the morning before the release was expected sept 7th. Then we had a mid-day halt that followed by the real release of the data then we jumped up real quick. This is manipulation how else can you explan closing even for 5 days straight, chance you say haha I doubt it.

Is there any updates on the lawsuit side if I remember correctly they have til EOD tomorrow to respond to Peregrine.
Rhyino
He was there and many that attended spoke with him.
Rhyino
Lol ... I remenber about a month or two before our climb to 5.50 we also got hammered by many negitive articles most of them one after the other. This reminds me alot of the time right before we released the first second line news. If I also remember correctly they tried to drag us down in the morning right before we released the mos numbers that afternoon. When articles like these come out keep in mind that there is an agenda. There has been alot of panic lately but longs may not be the only ones in a panic these days. There seems to be a hint of desperation in the air for everyone.
Rhyino
If it just opened at 5 he would be in the hole 800k yikes, now I know why they have a strangle hold on the share price til they can unload and reup in the game.
Rhyino
One good thing about these two trials wrapping up is the cash burn should be lower. Never know the cash burn could be low enough to turn a profit from avid lol. Time will tell.
Rhyino
It was probably more along the lines of the health of the patient vs how effective bavi was in treating them. They had a very aggressive enrollment population compared to other studies that have been conducted.
Rhyino
Can you link additional information on this.
Rhyino
Can someone link the clinical trial here so it can be reviewed by all. Thanks would do it but in clas.
Unless they are planning on taking the show pony out on the town ... lol whos knows
Cyctic fibrosis has a estimated market of 900 million by 2015 which is a drop in the bucket compared to the world wide cancer market.
Rhyino
I will help fuel the fire for a partner ... I think the partner could be TransCelerate Biopharma Inc.
Rhyino
Noone can be certain you just have to buy with what you can lose, buckle your seat belt put your helmet on and hope the rocket boosters fire.
I was all in before the frontline fiasco happened and doubled down once the 2nd line happened. I am more confident now than I have ever been about the prospects of peregrine. I really do believe that it is just a waiting game at this point. I also believe lower buying points will start to get alot harder to find in the coming weeks.
IMHO
Rhyino
I think we see a late day run ... Everyone is loading the wagon for the long haul.
Rhyino
You or your doctor can contact peregrine directly and get information about how to get enrolled in a trial. I think I have seen a location on there site where this was before.
Hang in there
Rhyino
Because it is working with the body and not against it.

1) This is a trial with "major discrepancies" - as admitted by the sponsor.
Keep in mind the "major discrepancies" are associated with coding.
2) All it would take to 'fabricate' such data would be CRO misbehavior - oopsy, we can't find that patient. And remember, the CRO is being sued right now.
Also you need to remember that censoring patients is not up to the CRO.
The definition of medical coding, see below.
coding
Etymology: L, caudex, book
the process of organizing information into categories, which are assigned codes for the purposes of sorting, storing, and retrieving the data.
Mosby's Medical Dictionary, 8th edition. © 2009, Elsevier.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
coding [kod´ing]
1. the assigning of symbols or abbreviations to classify field notes into categories.
2. the process of transforming qualitative data into numerical data that can be entered into a computer file.
May or may not be of some help?

See ya there entdoc!
Four of us will also be attending.
Rhyino
RR thanks for your input on these matters. I know we all appreciate your posts.
Rhyino
I indirectly quote "if proper inspections and precautions had been take by peregrine csm couldnt had screwed up" ... how could peregrine have been able to check any part of this when they were blind to all aspects of it but making the drugs and reviewing the data after investigators deemed it mature or mature enough to call interm.
??????????? Peregrines input to csm is pretty much none due to the fact that they are blinded to the process. Who runs and defines the process (CSM).
Do you not get that it was blinded to peregrine or can you just not understand the concept of a blinded trial. How are they suppose to check something they are blinded too..
Come on
Bungler thanks for your input that would make perfect sense. As you said the 1/3 1/3 1/3 trial arms would have to recieve one of the three codings. And since the incoming patients all have close to the same entrance criteria and the patients recieved (a code). The ammount of drugs used has to be correct otherwise it would have been detected before now. So once the patients are (fully) sorted out I forsee the data changing slightly.

Rhyino
If they detected a problem in one patient they have to come out with an announcement. I stick to the conclusion that I have drawn. The patients are living longer we all know that and do you really think it is placebo simple as that?
We will all know for sure soon enough. Good luck to all!
