Good to see some long-timers still around.
I have stated this before, I don't think they ever intended to sell millions of apps and become profitable (which is why they completely disregarded things like social media and Bieber was never fully utilizied).
I think the business "plan" was create a good product, set up all the insiders with a favorable share strucutre, and then sell the company.
That failed miserably and they are either coming up with plan B or selling the company coffee machine on Ebay.
This is true, which is why is seems obvious (to me) the company was not interested in accumulating downloads.
I always thought they were trying to partner and/or get acquired.
The strategy didn't work......and shareholders are paying dearly.
Simply offering the download at JB concerts would have gotten 100x the exposure.
Another odd management decision, NOBODY outside IHUB knew of this concert as they waited forever and PR'd the concert (Largest National Student Movement in Decades) on 4/17. Then 7 days later they cancelled on 4/24.
They were not aware of issues 7 days ago?
I really appreciate many of the posters here who worked hard finding hope, I really feel management had a huge opportunity and the business plan has been a mistake after mistake after mistake after mistake.
They are either dishonest or have the worst "luck" ever.......the performance of the management team since the conference call is unbelievable (literally).
April was the perfect month to launch.......can't believe we are sitting here dumbfounded (and getting major news from IHUB, not the f'ing company).
Now that we know OPMG gets revenue from the concert, it cannot be "too big" as some have mentioned......unleash Bieber, recruit his friends, make this concert/PPV huge.
Was this supposed to be sarcasm?
The market cap, with the #1 celebrity endorser in the world, is 5 million. If we get much lower Beibs can just pull out his AMEX black card and buy the company for fun.
Excellet point Car....If you have any $$$$$ invested in OPMG then buy at the ask. We need to get this rolling. Even today's volume is NOTHING, if this gets moving the technical/momentum traders will come in and we will roll.
Additional point.....If you have any $$$$ invested in OPMG buy a ticket to the PPV. Support the company. I'm not even a fan of any of the groups (though Kelly Rowland is good eye candy)
"Shaping Up as the Largest National Student Movement in Decades"......love that. Whatever PR person coined that phrase needs to be helping OPMG PROMOTE. Concert is starting to roll (hoping revenue/share price follows). Great DD everyone. Looking good!!!!
Whoa.....great post Shadow.
Jaden Smith's tweet "Everybody Should Get The Phone Guard App Right Now."
Would love his dad Will (huge celebrity with teenage kids) to join the cause. Just a thought.
Good times.
haha.....This was pretty much the perfect frustrated OPMG investor post.
I'm optomistic, but feel your pain. Very well (perfectly) written.
We Roll......(hopefully???)
Talk show hosts can endorse a product they like (Oprah did it with "Oprah's favorite things").
Just dreaming, could you imagine Bieber on the Ellen show (they are chummy), discussing the dangers of texting and driving, and saying he works with a company fighting to help this epidemic called Phoneguard??? Stock would be up 500% in one day.
If anyone with an older demographic (Ellen, Dr Phil, View) wanted to get behind the "no text while driving cause" and told viewers about installing Phoneguard for their kid's phones....we would (finally) roll.
Love the concept, BUT One Republic, Flo Rida, BadHorse, Surface Rising and Jessica Dawn cannot fill that stadium.
We need a headliner for ticket sales (not surprises).
Good work, thanks for relaying the info.
Very (not so) subtle change of direction.
First it was no concert, weak headliners, multiple apps sponsoring, Randall James is a fraud, no tickets on sale........
Now there is a confirmed concert, Randall delivered a solid list of performers, Phoneguard is sponsoring, and a date for tickets has been set.
Sooooooooo, now it is the kids deserve the credit, OPMG will get zero exposure, and management is horrible.
I smell desperation.
This is not the business plan, but this concert is a pretty good start. Remember, the goal is not to sell 100,000 apps......the goal is to be huge.
Car, no OPMG jokes allowed - haha. We've all been through too much heartache to joke
I agree......the delays may turn out to be worth it. Stars are aligning, I have a hunch April is big $$$$$.
Sure seems management isn't positioning this to sell 100,000 apps......they are setting things up to be big. 12 months seems like a decade in penny land, but in start-up terms it isn't that long. This wait may turn out to be VERY well worth it.
Looks to me like they were holding Beiber back until they were ready for the tidal wave, and April looks like a good month to roll (WE ROLL).
Seriously? Stock is flat on 2.4 million shares (around 10k).
One could argue that OPMG is completey ignored at this point, if a 16 year old girl sells her 1,000 shares the stock might move 5%, but to post it is tanking is kind of ridiculous.
Seriously? The is reaching to be negative.
Based on his popularity and sales, teenage girls are fine with Chris Brown. If you are doing an event aimed at teens he is easily top 10 (with ironically Biebs at #1).
Great post......can we drop a few people and get you on the BOD?
Seriously, OPMG needs to do something......anything.......please??????
Thinking Beiber comes unannounced due to excessive attention is ridiculous.
Personally, you don't give up a huge piece of the company to have Bieber as your spokesman and then keep him on the DL. The past year has been a clusterf#ck, but if OPMG is truly ready to roll we need our golden boy out front.
Promote, hype, promote, hype, promote!!!!! No such thing as TOO MUCH PUBLICITY.
Good work Knuckles. Much appreciated.
I have said before IHUB works harder researching OPMG news than OPMG works at making news.
Plenty of frustration (as the case with every start-up).....but it only takes ONE successful launch to make a business.
The dust has settled, a lot of moving parts have been cleaned up.....all I'm saying is now would seem like a good time to roll.
It does seem VERY well positioned to start the hype/run. Let's go OPMG......let's start promoting this thing.
Tuesday concert PR.
Wednesday Maroon 5 PR.
Thursday Chris Brown PR.
Then surprire us!
I agree....I think the HYPE machine is about to start (finally).
I can't wait to see it.
Let's start focusing on PROMOTING THE PRODUCT/REVENUES!!!!
Nothing never easy for OPMG, but it once again explains the delay/silence.
Time to promote....sell....unleash bieb's....bring in revenue.
PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
"not moving forward with acquisition"
Not sure that is good news.
You post the PR, so you can respond and rip the PR? That is odd.
I agree this PR is meaningless, but at least it shows they are (slowly) progressing.
I still think Director Bartling buying 25k worth of BSRC on 3/5 is a good sign.
Director bought 25k worth of BSRC. Insider buying a penny stock, pretty rare, and biggest piece of good news regarding BSRC in years.....maybe ever (IMHO).
Did the dilution stop? 2 hours into trading and only 780,000 shares have moved (about 3k worth).
Dommy, can you please post this faster....1 minute after they updated their facebook is unacceptable - haha.
Just kidding, good work.
I swear IHUB works harder digging up DD than OPMG does creating it.
Car, that list is awesome. Pretty amazing for a company with that list of connections to have a market cap of only 6 million. Once everyone has their shares (frustrating process) and is locked and loaded the focus will turn to raising the share price (sales/promotion). It is almost time.
Good times coming!
Dannyboy, good points, but I think the central issue hurting stock is this:
1 billion shares at .01 is a 10 million market cap. If you give 500 million shares (just an example) to Illume executives, and the price remains at .01 you just dropped the market cap to 7.5 million. That is dilution. That is strike 1.
We don't know the details, but what if the deal IS detrimental to OPMG shareholders? Like too many shares, or cheap warrants that hang over the company. This "unknown" is strike 2.
Stock has lost support to it rolls over (again). Strike 3 for many people.
People can gush over Illume, but until we see the details this deal is viewed poorly by the street (too many unknowns and the market has spoken).
I like this business model and feel the COMPANY will succeed......a huge marketing campaign is coming and the market cap will be a lot higher than current levels. However, we (OPMG shareholders) are not necessarily included in that success, and will remain nervous until all details are done.
Totally understand we have to pay and the share count had to rise to buy Illume.....that is not my concern.
If the deal is good (to OPMG share holders) it will be set up to where OPMG/Illume gets rich if the share price rises (if that is the case I very much believe this stock will explode).
If the deal is bad, Illume already got rich.
I can't wait to see the details. New company looks great, no doubt, but the impact to current OPMG shareholders is what matters (to me).
It is very possible that on 2/12 they will have lined everyone up (JB and his team, OPMG team, BOD, Illume) and they will start marketing HARD. Everyone's goal at that point is growth (business and share price). That would be very exciting.
(Also possible, this deal is so dilutive that Illume just got wealthy at the expense of current OPMG holders).
Nervous and excited.
Ken, 16 million shares traded, stock losing support down 10%.....how can that equate to nobody is selling?
This has become a long-term hold (prayer) for me, so I am not bashing, I think this can ultimately be HUGE, but how can 16 million shares get traded with no sellers?
Blue, I agree with your assessment, but I actually think more than marketing Illume/Izup needed liquidity (publicly traded stock).
The combined company looks great, but the big question (to me) is how the current shareholders of OPMG will be impacted once this shakes out?
In the near future we will have a new valuation of the (combined) company....a corresponding number of (presuming) new shares.....Illume CEO needs his (liquid) shares, CFO needs his (liquid) shares, Fay Vincent needs his (liquid) shares.....then how will the market value this (combined) company????
Once this shakes out over the coming weeks our OPMG shares could be valued vastly differently than today.....I just hope they are looking out for the shareholders and it is good for all of us.
That is a GREAT webcast. This company is much further along, and really focused on enterprise solutions (which I agree with). Funny they mention Beiber in the beginning, they knew he was about to join them.
Great stuff, thanks for posting Tut.......everyone should listen to this.
Pretty obvious there is a TON going on behind the scenes.
St Claire is talking to NBA Players, going to lunch with Motorola, having conference calls with US Senators, playing golf with executives of the YES network, texting Justin Bieber, and meeting with lawyers finalizing merger deals.....and on this board we complain Phoneguard's CES display is too small.
Seems to me they have a plan, a BIG one, and the wheels are in motion.
Company silence starts to make sense.....it is frustrating, but it makes sense.
