JJ8, thank-you.
KING_TRADER$, thank-you for updating me. I'm patiently waiting. Brian Moynihan's background in law calms my nerves. Most CEOs don't have a background such as this and remain clueless to the process, strategies and other important factors. I'm confident in Brain's skills and expertise in this field, he knows what is going on.
10times7, I like Jim Cramer as a person, but nothing more. I only watch his show Mad Money for investment knowledge and to gain more knowledge about other companies. Though his Lightening Round where investors call in and take his advice is something I don't condone. Jim doesn't have the best track record actually. I could name a few other widely known investors whose portfolio I'd rather follow, Carl Ichan being one of them.
Carl knows not only about refinery stocks, but stocks in general. Rest assured, Mr. Ichan puts his money where is mouth is. I am surprised T Boone Pickens hasn't added this to his portfolio. Back to Mr. Cramer's ignorant buy, sell, hold segment, I personally enjoy when he tells viewers to sell. Most of the sheep that watch will sell, allowing others that see potential to move in and get cheap shares.
You are right about your prediction and I believe your strategy will pay off.
adeezl and others here, I do like this stock. I noticed this company when looking at the specifications of my Apple Macbook. After further research, I see many positives such as a solid balance sheet, healthy market share, share buyback and other important factors. Though the Shield concerns me somewhat.
I would call the Shield somewhat "uncharted" territory. Sure, there are some electronic devices that mimic handheld gaming, but nothing quite like this idea. I think what concerns me is the overall concept of the idea, the screen mostly. I'm not sure how I feel about this new product. Will it be hit or miss? I want to be optimistic, but what if this new device fails? I was surprised to find that the local electronics retailer Game Stop (GME) sells the product. I believe I will go in and give it a whirl. More importantly, I want to see if they will give me an idea of how well they are selling.
What do you think about the price cuts? It seems with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) gaining more market share, Nvidia (NVDA) felt forced to slash prices. I found it interesting, because earlier NVDA claimed there would be no more cuts. I do think this is a smart move though. It could steal AMD's market share without putting too much of a dent in NVDA's already spacious profit margin.
More importantly, NVDA seems to have a tight grip on the China cellular market. There is a lot I could mention about how this is and would benefit NVDA in the future, but I'll leave this open to discussion. Though if I could sum it all up, "Xiaomi ran through its initial supply of 100,000 Mi3 smartphones in just 86 seconds! Xiaomi expects to sell 20 million smartphones this year (up from an initial projection of 15 million), and, based on the initial demand, it seems like the Tegra-equipped Mi3 could represent a good portion of that total." (Adam , 2013)
I'll end on this note. Once I saw that NVDA incorporates technology into my Apple MacBook, I began to think about how Apple's (APPL) latest earnings report showed that Apple computers are up. So in turn NVDA's chipsets should be up as well right? I'd be willing to bet. This could mean even more potential with Apple's new line of laptops.

Thanks for reading, Gulley
Fa$tlane, definitely a gamble. There is high risk here, buyers should use caution. I will keep an eye on this one.
JJ8, the chart looks to be in a sideways pattern. I don't see any indicators that catch my eye. Do you see any change in direction, more specifically in the $14.50+ range any time soon?
Fa$tlane, I agree. If I had money on the sidelines, I would put it here.
KING_TRADER$, you're welcome. I believe everyone should try to expose themselves to every strategy here with the stock market.
I am disappointed also. Government keeps putting a band aide on the bleeding banks with gunshot wounds, the way I look at it. The Gov. needs to clean the slate, get their hands dirty and figure out what is going on here. Someone earlier commented on how banks are getting fined for the Government forced buy-out years ago. This is wrong… It's not Bank of America's (BAC) fault, not JPMorgan's (JPM) and any other banks that face similar problems. This is where the Government needs to clean the slate. This includes all other lawsuits banks are facing that are not from the Government, such as ours AIG/BAC.
Although it is what I'm minoring in at college, I'm not too knowledgeable about the economy. This includes causes and effects. I can agree however that banks and companies in general are keeping more money on the sidelines and are worried about making a move.
I have been busy with college studies and haven't stopped by the BAC's board here lately. Have you heard any updates on the AIG/BAC lawsuit? I'm very surprised there hasn't been a settlement yet. It's making me worried that we could lose the case. Your thoughts? I remember a mouth or so ago we had an update. I was betting that we would get a settlement around the 3Q earnings, but I seem to have guessed wrong.
Juwels, thank-you. I was surprised when I found that Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEP) didn't have a board.
RobinT, I apologize for the late reply. I have been busy with college studies. This is very good due diligence, thank-you for that. I agree with all that you have said. I see potential here, but will keep an eye on Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEP). I would not be interested until I see profit, I see a definitely see this as a buy if their test results come positive and they decide to close nuclear power plants.
10times7, I'm looking for a re-entry. I'm not sure how the record date for the dividend will effect the PPS. As for your advice about buying in during the summer, I will remember this. I believe it could be a great entry point for someone to hold long here with CVR Refining (CVRR). Chart is continuing to look bearish long-term and short-term. I'm looking for a bottom in the $22 range.
10times7, looks like I got out right on time. I read the chart wrong last night, sorry. I missed a important indicator.
JJ8, I am glad you're taking advantage of these dips. I know you're knowledgeable about TA. What indicator confirms those who bought single digits are currently selling? For more information, please see my earlier post towards KING_TRADER$.
Thanks, Gulley
KING_TRADER$, you are correct. Those who bought in during single digit PPS are locking in profits. There is a indicator which confirms this and I saw this on CNBC. I'm learning about TA, but unable to confirm this indicator myself due to my novice knowledge. Maybe someone else can confirm this indicator.
These shares are changing to stronger hands I believe. I don't blame those who are locking in profits. PPS growth is slowing and it's a long-term play currently. For everyone else, buy on these dips and hold em' tight.
10times7, thank-you! Though I see this as a long-term play also. Keeping it on my watch list and in my IHUB favorites. What's your exit strategy here? I believe DRIP would be very good.
Good luck to you as well!
10times7, trailing stop on quote triggered. I'm out of this one. Walked away with a 20% profit.
lowtrade, I have been wanting to become more knowledgeable on TA & charting. I was seeking an easier investment strategy that wouldn't require so much time, but this strategy is what I really want to learn. I started learning at the beginning of this semester at college, but became very busy with school. I bought a very simple and easy to understand book titled, A Beginner's Guide to Short-term Trading by Toni Turner. I quit reading because I wanted to do it at a time where I wouldn't be busy with school, though I realize I won't have a time like that for another 4 years or so (I plan to go to school during the summer).
I'll do my best to devote at least an hour a day towards learning this strategy. Would you be willing to answer questions and guide me when learning? I have a notebook with questions that I wrote down. I quit reading after learning about hammers, hanging mans, engulfing patterns and the other basic indicators.
10times7, that makes sense. I sure wish I had bought in with real money, I could have made a healthy profit. Though in the same sense, I could have lost a lot also. Still currently testing this strategy in the meantime. Though I'm glad you're in this stock, hold em' tight!
10times7, I believe the quarterly was rescheduled for Friday.
"CVR Refining, LP (NYSE: CVRR) reschedules its 2013 third quarter earnings release and conference call to Nov. 1." (CVR Refining, LP, 2013)
This reschedule has no effect weather I buy, sell or hold. I'm trading CVRR exclusively on chart movement. I can't confirm weather this reschedule has had an effect on the PPS. I do believe that today's drop in PPS was due to weak demands and the price of oil dropping. Looking at the chart, I believe the short term is still trending upwards, but could move sideways. I'm currently still holding and the trailing stop on quote has not yet been triggered.

10times7, I agree. Great points!
lowtrade, I apologize for the late response. I hope you understand, I have been busy with studies in college.
I understand that CANSLIM can be long-term. Though I do not understand what you mean by, "But moves in and out monthly." I inquired on this investment strategy to become more knowledgeable about other methods. I researched growth strategies and found this method. Would you recommend a different investment strategy to learn, before we go further in breaking this method down or do you recommend I learn this method?
It could possibly take me a while to respond. I will do my best to respond sooner. Thanks for being patient.
Gulley
10times7, I agree. It's all over the place. I'm testing a new trading strategy on a simulator. This stock matched the criteria. I bought in at $21.88 on 10/8/13. I'm up almost 12% on this position. I have a stop loss on quote at 4%. I'm digging this strategy, but I need more practice. I think there could be more upside here.
Fsa88, the governments shutdown has no effect on Bank of America's (BAC) earnings release. The release will be on time as scheduled on Wednesday Oct. 16, 2013.
Pre-Market: 13.92 +0.12 (0.87%) 7:08AM EDT
Today will be intresting.
2 point spread, as far as I'm concerned Bank of America (BAC) has been a consider buy for quite some time. Though with this drop in PPS, it's a wonderful time to buy more shares or get in if you haven't already.
Whew, Bank of America (BAC)'s PPS has been taking a beating this week.
New board.
RobinT, I believe you accidentally posted your response on the Investor Help board. I wasn't able to read what you posted because it has been deleted. If you can, post it again here.
cintrix, thank-you for your guidance.
MBAMann, I understand your point and feel the same way. I plan to learn about penny stock trading because at my young age, I should take on a very aggressive and risky strategy. Though at this time I am focusing on the basic investment strategies. I will do my best to keep your name in the back of my head when I feel I am ready.
lowtrade, I meant to reply to your post, but instead replied to my own post. Please see below.
