he,he,he-haw,haw,haw HEE-HAW! sorry had to do it. =o)
great post! you know i experienced that longer duration period this spring as i planted my new yard. i bought this really good seed that could weather the heat and drought better than the kentucky blue31 i had planned on sowing. i was trying to save money and i didnt buy straw also because i seen a few of the neighbors had put straw down only to see it all blow away. i started the seed on a weekend and waited for the signs of germination. after four days had gone by i began to wonder if i was going to ever see anything cause i expected to maybe see a few early shoots come up, but there was nothing just black dirt. after five still nothing and a few weeds began to get a little thicker than i would have liked since i was counting on the plentiful grass seed to choke them out. six days i still had nothing and begun to think i had done something wrong or maybe i had a bad batch, because there absalutely nothing coming up. but on the seventh day i went out early in the morning and saw the most beautiful sight of a million tiny little green shoots working thier way out of the earth! what a relief!. now im glad i sowed the good seed even more because the guy in back of me planted this beautiful lawn that seemed to sprout up so fast! it was so full, thick and lush you couldnt help but admiror it. he got several compliments on it some people even said man why does your lawn look so much better than everybody elses? and here i am with this lawn that never really looked that great and im thinking wow did i spend the extra money for nothing? but then summer came and with it the heat and unussual heavy rains that seemed to drag on for days with only short breaks in between. i now i look out and see this really healthy looking lawn that just keeps getting better! and i dont need to water nearly as much as everybody else. the guy in back of me? he now has one of the worst looking lawns in the subdivision! not that thats funny but it just goes to show you how Gods word reflects his creation, and how we can learn from it as well. thanks again!
HEY! IM STILL ALIVE! just thought i would let you guys know, incase you were wondering. =o) i had to share my sunday morning church experience with ya. so the pastor was out of town and much to my delight a normal guy took the platform, Eric (the worship leader) "down to earth with a good sence of humor". he seemed to be on a mission to get everyone to get out of thier pleasure zone and deeper into worship. one thing he had everyone do was close thier eyes and invision a crowded square (very crowded) like there was a big elbo to elbo event happening. and as your eyes move through the crown you see a man and you just know that its Jesus. you work your way towards him as he is moving quickly through the people and you get close enough to realize he is going to an alleyway. when you reach the alley you can begin to make ground on him and as you draw nearer you notice he opens a gate and when you get to the gate you see he is entering a big park and you are able to catch up to him as he sits on the park bench. then he (eric) asked what would you do? for me i all could see happening was me leaning my head on his shoulder like i would have done with my dad when i was a child. more than likely sobbing knowing that he knows every little thing thats going on in my head, and his hand brushing my hair to say it ok son your with me now. hope your sunday was a good one as well. been busy with work and getting together with some musicians. things are going great! talk atcha later. God Bless!

i bet some of the people who are involved in the secret have heard of brian tracy. between that and the secret i should have that cd done in no time! i think watching the secret with having learned the truths of God, it gives you an even better chance at living victorious. there are a few things you will have to sift through but once you apply what is of God nothing is imposible. i have had such a positive outlook since watching it that it feels as if a burden has been lifted! GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST!
if there ever was a sin that so easily besets us i think selfishness would be right up there in the top three. its so easy to focus on whats wrong with OUR lives and in OUR walk. its good to be reminded that our focus should be on the things above. the good things.
i sent you an email before i posted that. you will have to post a link for brian tracey not sure who he is.
As a man believeth in his heart, so is he. http://www.thesecret.tv/

hey excel, been away for a while. went back home last sunday, my Mom died in her sleep jan 26 of heart failure, she was 77.I knew she was not going to be with us for too many years but hoped it would be much later, I guess when she found out that my oldest brother had terminal stomach cancer (long time heavy drinker) she really began to decline. my wife was allready back to interview for an agent position in Rockford with american family insurance. she got the job and was looking around for office space and at homes. she kept saying i really neaded to be there but never guessed this would happen. I drove back with Maddie now 7 yrs old on the 4th. it really was a tough drive remembering all the childhood years but once i arrived there was plenty to keep us distracted. we found out that a while ago a siding and window saleswoman had introduced my mother to a guy who would gladly pay off her depts with a loan from a title company. to make a long story short the guy also talked her into switching life insurance plans and somehow she quit paying as she was getting mentally forgetful, but they have thier title so thier happy. i thought she still had the same coverage she allways had but she never shared this change with me. so we have a lawyer looking into it now but it looks like these people going door to door taking advantage of the elderly have chalked another one up for themselves. Im doing ok now, just got back tonight and im actually looking forward to returning home, Madelyn will be in a good school and the cold should be almost gone by march. And i will be there for my oldest brother. sorry i didn't write earlier. God Bless You Guys in the room, im blessed to have people like you all to pray with and share our faith with one another. talk to ya later
Have you had a "Jericho" experience?
Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1:9 NLT
Taking Jericho
Imagine this scene for a minute. You're a captain in Joshua's army camped a few miles outside the city of Jericho. You've seen the thick, double-layered stone walls surrounding the city and armed soldiers guarding every entrance. You've heard tales of the fierce Canaanite army and their ability to hold their ground in battle.
In the midst of all of this, an edict comes down from the upper ranks. Israel is planning to take Jericho. Actually, what the message says is that Israel has already taken Jericho, but Jericho just doesn't know it yet. The battle plan is really no plan at all. You're supposed to get your troops together and conduct a victory march around the city. Just once—for six days in a row. Then on the seventh day you're to march seven times around the city. That's when your soldiers can march in and take possession.
The next day you're marching around the city, and you can't help but hear the taunts coming from inside the walls. You know how silly this all looks, but you keep marching just the same. Because you know that God is on your side, and you've seen what he can do.
This is why God reminded Joshua time and again to "be strong and courageous." God has a way of working that tends to fall outside the norm, and he needs people who trust him enough to go the distance, no matter how bizarre the game plan. Courage is important to God because courage is a natural byproduct of trust. And the greater we trust, the braver we become. As long as God leads the battle, we can march in confidence, knowing that we've already won. God gave Jericho to Israel on the seventh day, just as he said he would. So,…what wall does he have you marching around?

when the white house said we will fight them over there, this is who there were talking about. you have to see this! shocking.
and the funny thing is, the encouragement tool is a power tool, its light and easy to use and free! we just have to clear the dust off it now and then.
U.S. warns of possible Qaeda financial cyber attack
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. government has warned U.S. private financial services of an al Qaeda call for a cyber attack against U.S. online stock trading and banking Web sites beginning Friday, officials said on Thursday.

The officials -- a person familiar with the warning and a spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security -- said the Islamic militant group aimed to penetrate and destroy the databases of the U.S. stock market and banking Web sites.
Homeland Security said it had no evidence to corroborate the threat but had issued the warning out of an "abundance of caution." The department said in a statement that the threat was for all of December.
"There is no information to corroborate this aspirational threat. As a routine matter and out of an abundance of caution, US-CERT issued the situational awareness report to industry stakeholders," said Homeland Security spokesman Russ Knocke.
US-CERT is the U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team. The U.S. government said the threat was to avenge the holding of suspected terrorists at the U.S. prison in Guantanamo.
sweet news.

This week's promise: God is always calling us back to him
Have you embarrassed your heavenly Father?
"Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live.
Titus 1:16 NLT
"
Embarrasing God
"Not so long ago I saw a man shopping in a grocery store while his young son ran up and down the aisles. The boy was unleashed and hyper, making a complete nuisance of himself. The father kept calling his son's name, but the boy only ran faster—up one aisle and down the other.
Just as the father caught up with him, the boy reached out and grabbed a handful of candy bars. The father tried to take them away, but the boy held on tightly. Then he started to scream. It was a high-pitched, piercing scream that reverberated throughout the store. Clerks and customers turned to look from every direction as the frustrated father tried his best to squelch his son's cries. The boy only screamed louder and started to kick. Finally the father let him go, and once again he ran down the aisle with all his might, chocolate still clutched in his greedy little grip.
I caught a glimpse of the father's face. It was the look of complete and total embarrassment. Although I'm sure he loved his son dearly, at this moment he was ashamed to be his father.
Do you think God ever feels that way with his children? Imagine how he must feel when we become so earthly minded that we run through life, ignoring his voice and oblivious to his warning, grabbing things as we go and holding them tightly.
Do you think God doesn't get embarrassed by the way his children act? Out life is a reflection of his authority. And when we disobey, he is the One the world scoffs at.
