great post! you know i experienced that longer duration period this spring as i planted my new yard. i bought this really good seed that could weather the heat and drought better than the kentucky blue31 i had planned on sowing. i was trying to save money and i didnt buy straw also because i seen a few of the neighbors had put straw down only to see it all blow away. i started the seed on a weekend and waited for the signs of germination. after four days had gone by i began to wonder if i was going to ever see anything cause i expected to maybe see a few early shoots come up, but there was nothing just black dirt. after five still nothing and a few weeds began to get a little thicker than i would have liked since i was counting on the plentiful grass seed to choke them out. six days i still had nothing and begun to think i had done something wrong or maybe i had a bad batch, because there absalutely nothing coming up. but on the seventh day i went out early in the morning and saw the most beautiful sight of a million tiny little green shoots working thier way out of the earth! what a relief!. now im glad i sowed the good seed even more because the guy in back of me planted this beautiful lawn that seemed to sprout up so fast! it was so full, thick and lush you couldnt help but admiror it. he got several compliments on it some people even said man why does your lawn look so much better than everybody elses? and here i am with this lawn that never really looked that great and im thinking wow did i spend the extra money for nothing? but then summer came and with it the heat and unussual heavy rains that seemed to drag on for days with only short breaks in between. i now i look out and see this really healthy looking lawn that just keeps getting better! and i dont need to water nearly as much as everybody else. the guy in back of me? he now has one of the worst looking lawns in the subdivision! not that thats funny but it just goes to show you how Gods word reflects his creation, and how we can learn from it as well. thanks again!
