BTC ETFs-anyone trying them on Day 1?I took a starter in IBIT blackrocks ETF- 28.60 small
Is this just a delaying tactic, to give themselves(the SEC) time & to justify their perpetual negative bias that they've always had towards Crypto/Bitcoin?They are going to somehow pin the blame for this fiasco on the Crypto believers.
wade-I'm a swing trader with a shorter timeline(like days/weeks) so I love to play the volatile ones.Even those plays(like SMCI,SYM etc) which I believe in, I trade around a core holding(selling on the pops & buying back on the dips, multiple times). As an example, I've been trading/swinging SYM since it was $15, traded it countless times the whole of 2023. I don't follow technicals/charts much, each of us trades differently. My style is so different from the experts on this board whom I respect a lot, which is the reason I don't clutter by posting much here.
value- If I was putting my pricier favorites in the contest,I would've put SMCI,TSLA,SYM & maybe COIN. But I assumed that the % wise gains might be more on the cheaper riskier plays. My real life portfolio consists of 3 types of companies-the pricey megacaps(which are steady & safer), Biotechs(both the cheap & pricey ones, but as we know Bios can go either way) & my Lotto plays(which are cheap but very risky). I figured since it was a contest after all, I'd put in the dangerous ones😂
If one likes NVDA but feels its too pricey, keep an eye on SMCI.That's a beauty that usually goes in tandem with NVDA (some kind of partnership they have).
SYM has been my most favorite ticker, a not-much-talked-about company, those are the best ones! Grabbed some on friday before close, on the drop from the 50s, will be back in the $50s next week IMO
XBP-another beaten down De-Spac(with a wild 52wk range $4.92-$47.40) biding its time to move. Thinly traded, extreme low float (less than 2 mill IMO-need confirmation of float# though). Not much info available on this.Ringing the opening Bell tomorrow, Jan 5:
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/xbp-europe-ring-nasdaq-opening-162500568.html
The one negative I find is its connection to XELA( Exela has a huge holding of XHB shares).I don't even know why I think of this as a negative,am I reading too much into this?Anyone follow XBP(despac from CFFE)?
WOW,really?Missed that. It's a good one, lots of room to go still
BTCUSD always needs caution, but with the EFT approval hype these days until Jan 9 (expected date for approval/delay/denial ) we need to watch & take advantage this week, but have to be nimble!
SDIG(7.15) up 11%, going with BTC
SDIG up almost 10%, broke 7
BLUE-missed seeing this news, thanks for posting. Once the pricing on this expensive treatment is worked upon, will bring some relief to the patients of this awful Sickle cell disease.
AISP-does this break $3 today?
CXM(11.73) liking this one on Stock buyback news, looking for dip:

Sorry, wrong verbiage, lol. At least 2+ year lows if I'm not mistaken. Depending on individual trading styles, 2 years can be a very long time for some, haha. But my apologies anyway!
PFE- does this Canada approval news today help in US approval for Hemophilia too later this year?
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/pfizer-wins-canadian-ok-hemophilia-120800319.html
PFE news today, hope this will be a precursor for US approval too? Price has been steadily creeping up from the all time lows.

OK Sir, got it! Thanks
SSK, Is there a daily cutoff time by which time our Buys,Sells or Wildcard trades need to be requested? My question basically is, does it have to be in by 4pm EST? Or anytime before midnight is okay too?
AISP(1.90)-rising from the dumps, watch this one!
Ohhh, thanks so much,I didn't know that! And here I was breaking my head over this.
Thanks,Monk. That is quite a nice site. But I was trying to get all my tickers on a single W/L(so I don't have to switch screens repeatedly).Being a ThinkorSwim user thought it would be easy if I input in same platform(looks like Bitcoin goes by "/BTC" in ToS, odd though that live Bitcoin shows different prices on different websites)
Tried both BTCUSD and BTC/USD, gives error saying "could not add symbol''
Anyone know what the BTC ticker is on Thinkorswim(ameritrade)? I have it as "/BTC " but that showing at $46540 this instant while actually it is around $45221(with volume 5343).Do I have it wrong?
Agreed,NIO isn't doing all that great. The point/comparison I was trying to make was not so much about the company fundamentals but simply comparing the stock price action.I forget what the prices were, but NIO traded somewhere in the $1-2 area and then it shot up to $40-50 range in a year or so.Of course,it was a different time for EVs then & also NIO being backed by the China govt made a difference. But FSR can at least make it to the $3 mark is my thinking.
Most EV companies are having a slowdown(except Tesla of course, but THAT is no comparison we know).Fisker will not have it easy that's for sure, but it's worth a shot at these prices. Remember NIO from back then?
Thanks jbog, I'll start there.
If not a record, must be close to the record volume. Hoping friday marked the bottom reversal day for FSR, let's get to $2 and then way beyond that in 2024
SSK-amazing that you have all the different stats/lists sorted out so fast, unbelievably amazing!
Thank you for all the hard work.Happy New Year to you & everyone here.
AISP-grabbed some 1.95,it's all over the place!
AISP(2.12)-volatile lowfloater, watch closely, bottomed out recent runner to $9+
jbog, Do you know of any specific website to view the Holdings of ETFs? Not just HRTS, but in general other ETFs too.Thanks.
FSR(1.67) moving in PM on news:

The story might finally be coming to play, taking a longer time than expected.
I've felt the SPAC transition from Logiq to CAUD(the share conversion etc) didn't go as smoothly as planned.Hoping they've got everything straightened out by this time
Are OTC/Pinks allowed?
The interest in ALT to a large extent is the expectation of a partnership/buyout news in the near future by one of the big pharma players.
Another useful list from r59,thanks so much! And I feel PFE is beaten down enough and will only go up from the bottom.By the way,it has an upcoming Dividend of 42cents in Jan 2024
Thanks r59, that list is super helpful!
BTBT-btc ticker, just hit $5, should do well if the Crypto euphoria keeps going
