Yeah that's great, isn't it? I look at those every now and then just to get some laughs. It's really not that funny I guess, but it's definitely a joke.
On a less important note... I had mentioned earlier that the Denver Renaissance Hotel was "following" Tivus on twitter. Since that statement, I just checked again, they apparently have ceased "following" Tivus. So I wonder what that is about. Apparently someone told them to cease and desist.
The worst part is they are handing it out to QS, who again I ask... does what? They are forking out millions upon millions of shares to a company that in my mind does more damage than good. Please someone correct me if I am wrong.
Someone remind me what the value is in the relationship with QS
Muskett50 is right. There should be 450 TV's sitting in a staging area on site right now.
At this point, I seriously doubt that any of them are in any rooms. The question is, would/should "Mike" the night manager know that they are there and ready to be installed or not?
But again, I will ask, for those out there who are trying to prove that Tivus is a fraud.... why are you trying to do it by asking employees at a location where clearly the system is not installed yet? If you want your smoking gun, then prove that Philly is not installed.
The naysayers seem to be avoiding that like the plague and are trying to focus on showing us Mike the night manager in omaha as their proof.
Agreed. Because we all know that when Tivus said that all of the TV's were "staged on-site" last week that that meant that the TV's would for sure be installed in the rooms within the week. They should install all of the TV's first and then put in the supporting servers, software, etc. to run them later. That's how it normally works. Generally speaking, when I want the lowdown on when things will be installed in rooms, I talk to the night manager first. Because that's when things get intsalled in Hotel rooms... at night, when people are sleeping.
But in seriousness, if you want to prove that Tivus is a lying fraud of a company, then prove that Philly is not up and running. Tivus has stated this is complete. That will be the smoking gun that you are looking for. Good luck, we will all be waiting.
Hi Stanley, For Host to have 1 Hotel in 1 location install a system that has not been proven in the industry is not news-worthy, hence, they aren't going to announce anything. Having said that, if you don't believe that Tivus was actually there, and this is a myth with smoke and mirrors.... why not just give Philly Marriott a call and ask them about their new TV systems/patch panels in their rooms?
a $1.30 transaction dropped this stock 50%. haha, that is just RIDICULOUS!
I was looking at the TivusInc twitter account and noticed that one of its followers is the Denver Renaissance Hotel. Obviously nothing to get too excited about, but I imagine some contact has been made there to warrant the twitter follow, not sure. Tivus does not appear to be following them, just the other way around. This is a Marriott owned hotel.
I know. How ironic, a buyout of "NISC" is posted on here.
Slide 5 of the presentation...
Temperature, Lighting, and Curtain controls? That is really cool if they have the capabilities of doing such things. These look like features that maybe most hotels would not implement, but that would be awesome to see that as a guest in a hotel. I can sit in bed and turn off/dim the lights, open/close the curtains, or change the room temperature.
Was this already known that they could do this? Am I late in discovering this capability?
If this board is getting you down, just search for the quality stocks message board for tivus. Every single message on there is positive. I'd be willing to bet that there's no more than 1 or 2 people using different usernames on there just to log on and agree with every positive statement about tivus. It's actually pretty funny to read through the posts on there.
Understood. I just was not sure if contact was actually made or if that post was speculation. I am glad to hear that contact was made.
GLTA
You called and that was their response?
Looks like we have a standoff here.
ah ok.
whoa! Unless I am missing something, you are absolutely right. Is there a reason to not look at this as something brewing now with Marriott Int.?
at this point the AS increase is a when rather than if scenario it seems. Are we looking at 800mil as a reasonable guess?

Yeah it's been down all day. At least since early this morning.
I'm new to this board and to TUCN. I've done some research on this company and this stock seems extremely undervalued to me. Am I missing something? Is it simply a not-so-great Q1 result combined with a lack of comm to investors that has driven this down this far? Or is there something else to the story?
Thanks A1, that clears up my Wi-Fi question, and the other information is also very encouraging. You the man.
mark I agree with you in that some Hotels will refuse to charge for WiFi on principal and thus eliminate a situation that would force their hand so-to-speak to do so. Many currently use free WiFi as a marketing/advertising tool on a small level, and those are things that would be hard to go back on your word on. My main curiosity is more of if it is a requirement or not. Would this possibly be a deal-breaker if a company said that they wanted to offer free WiFi to it's customers? I hope not, but as of right now I personally do not know the answer to that question.
Does anyone know what part Tivus plays in the in-room wifi experience for guests at the Philadelphia Marriott? I have browsed some reviews of the hotel on tripadvisor and each of the last 2 reviews complained about the in-room wifi. One review said that they loved the hotel, but were unable to use their own 4G connection because of a "heavy handed attempt" by the hotel to force people to use their own wifi (which is not free.) And the most recent review said the loved the hotel minus the spotty wifi connection. Other recent reviews just complained about the unavailability of free wifi.
I'm curious of this is a result of the Tivus system and it's ability to offer wifi to guests, and if so, the quality of it, and if it would always come at a cost, and if it is part of their revenue model.
Ah the old "I will not comment on that question" followed immediately by a comment on that question.
unless there was something said previously which amounted to more than just one sentence in one post, I don't really see what the big deal is. I disagree with what A-1 said, but he can certainly weigh his opinion on a matter that without question does have a direct impact on all markets. If he had written a lecture on the matter, perhaps I would feel differently.
Hello All,
I've been in Tivus since September. Occasionally read the board, and thought I would throw myself out there and have my count added to the big list.
I am in with 160K shares currently. Just holding and waiting for now, I am long.
I do have a question...
I have read some customer reviews recently online where they said they like the new "42 inch LG televisions" (or a similar comment,) within the remodeled rooms in the Downtown Marriott Hotel. I was curious where the new Tivus branded televisions come in to the picture, as it sounds like these LG's are being used for the current installation?
