I think that was endgame
Quantum Materials Corp today released their QDX ™ class of rugged Cadmium-free quantum dots with the highest heat, oxidation and moisture resistance available industry-wide. QDX™ Quantum Dots do not degrade under the high heats used in application to film, silicon and polymer and allow for creative LCD display and LED lighting engineering as well as lowering protective barrier film costs - See more at: http://globenewswire.com/news-release/2015/06/01/740977/10136757/en/Quantum-Materials-Announces-QDX-TM-Class-Quantum-Dots-With-High-Heat-Oxidation-and-Moisture-Resistance.html#sthash.Ru0dXoy1.dpuf
With tunable and narrowband emissions, QDs offer design flexibility to developers of new displays. But more is needed to enable massive adoption, including the development of cadmium-free formulations. Cole cautions that "traditional phosphors still have to say their last word". If PFS could further improve in term of stability and decay time and a narrow-band green composition was to emerge, traditional phosphors could also be part of the battle against OLED, Yole concludes

Then we will all be giggling 10yr school children. Love it.
Perhaps the Quiet before the storm.
Great article Quantum, it will soon be realized how far QMC has moved forward. No longer is needed an additional film in order to protect the Dots from degradation.
While quantum dots are gaining ground as downconvertors for LEDs in displays, they face challenges in general illumination. One issue is heat, as it is necessary for the quantum dots to be closer to the LED than is the case in displays. They also could be subject to high heat during LED manufacturing, said David Doderer, vice president for R&D at San Marcos, Texas-based Quantum Materials Corp. The company has, therefore, been refining its quantum dots to satisfy these requirements
Ok, who's ready to see QDX inside stamped on a product.
Absolutely hawk I think people misconstrued my post in a way it is a start finish
Product is here, Market has arrived. Is it the start or the finish line.
You have a wonderful grip on words and the reality that surrounds them. Bravo Mr Hawk
That is an awesome find.
You may want to sell Xray, Nanoco took over 12yrs, we are half way if that's a measuring stick. Good luck

Conclusion
The Samsung UE65JS9500 is easily the most impressive LED TV we’ve reviewed to date, which is hardly surprising given that it’s kitted out with all the most desirable LCD-enhancing technologies known to videophiles. VA-type LCD screen for a natively deep shade of blacks? Check. 10-bit panel for smoother gradation and less posterization? Check. Direct-lit LED placement for better backlight/ screen uniformity? Check. Full-array local dimming to achieve inkier blacks and greater contrast? Check. Black frame insertion to boost motion sharpness? Check. Quantum dots for improved colour reproduction, higher efficiency and brighter transmittance? Check. HDR for richer detail, contrast and colours? Check. At this rate, we’re actually shocked that it doesn’t make coffee and put out the bin too

Conservative push for solar is backed by usual green advocates

Excellent news
Just a matter of time, new reactors, ability to place Continuous Flow Reactors at point of need. Cadmium free,Tetrapod,GQD, all facets they will loom large and in charge.
Would this not make the perfect heading for QMC
We have the greens and the reds and cadmium free plus ability to mass produce on site. Sounds like a definite competitive advantage. Makes you wonder if an order for an additional Reactor is being placed as we speak. Does make on wonder.

"Our rapid development and recent shipping of Cadmium-free quantum dots is the first step to help manufacturers comply with RoHS restrictions on the use of Cadmium in electronic devices before the exemption deadline. We are adding state-of-the-art research equipment and quadrupling lab space and scientific staffing to meet the needs of the LCD display, LED solid-state lighting, solar and biotech manufacturing industries," concluded Mr. Squires - See more at: http://globenewswire.com/news-release/2015/04/22/726918/10130116/en/Quantum-Materials-Taking-Early-Delivery-of-New-Metric-Ton-Scale-Quantum-Dot-Production-System.html#sthash.JwsbyXq3.dpuf

You have to realize that Nanoco has been in business since 2001 and has only a couple of million on sells for almost 15 yrs of business. QMC has only been around less than half that time. I like where we stand.

So much fluff, no R&D LOL. I GUESS ITS HOW YOU GO ABOUT IT
Suppose you say the same thing about Los Alamos. Lol I guess. Cute
BIG e I think you so quickly forget the Bayer patent purchase. Do you have any idea the amount of research that went into that Patent portfolio. All is not fluff If you dobyour homework. All is well
Thanks Hawk. Just reaffirms what we believe.
Great writeup, been out of the Loop for sometime.
