Just received notice from Quests lawyers, Fasken.
States that all issued and outstanding shares will be cancelled.
I have no idea how to proceed. I would have thought that the asset of the mine is so valuable.
Hoping that other share holders know what to do regarding class action. And more to the point is there grounds for a class action case.
An extension till the 20th November 2017

Good to see some life here.
I am still here for the long run and still optimistic on Quest future. I bought more stock when it was below 10c. I look forward to the production in a couple of years, so to my investment. The TSX today traded in just under the 1,000,000 shares.
I guess the reason for (qrm.to) jumped has to do with the market.
Molycorp and Avalon jumped earlier in the week.
Well I bought further 10k shares so that my overall position is now lowered from $6.00 to $1.20.per share.
I further guess that my gran kids will be wealthy lol in the long run.
I have never tried to sell.....could not stomach such a loss,
There has been a little chatter at Stockhouse
http://www.stockhouse.com/companies/bullboard/t.qrm/quest-rare-minerals-ltd
I have no choice but to stay in for the long run. My thought has not changed about the enormous potential. My due diligence study has not waivered. Mine date for production 2019-2020ish. The market has peaks and valleys but the facts remain the same regardless about the value of this mine. I invested with disregard to market forces. Alas I am here for the long run.
World markets are cyclical, as demands increase so will our stock.
When I bought this stock, my eyes where focused on the longevity of the mine, open pit concept and the Critical rare earths folio et al.
The Canadian governments as it appears are in favor with Quest, this I guess cannot be a bad thing.
Although we do not hear anything really, from the company, that does not mean they are sitting on their hands. I know the ethos of the company is not to overstate and under perform but rather
to be clever than to brag. So when we do hear from them via the media, at least its not bull crap. But, milestones. IMHO.
Also glad to see that there is a mere heart beat in this board. It been a long time since any comments.
Avalon Delists from NYSE
The voluntary delisting from the NYSE MKT is a result of the Company being deemed to be not in compliance with the continued listing standards of the NYSE MKT, due to the Company's recent low selling share price.

Quebec Government is really enthused by Quest Rare Mineral, speaks volumes to me.
Please scroll down
The prosperity of Quebec is also linked to an ambitious project: the Plan Nord. You may already know.
The project is focused on the planned and integrated development of mines, energy, forests, organic food and the tourist, cultural and social potential of the territory north of the 49e parallel, a scope over 460 000 square miles.
This territory represents nearly five times the size of the United Kingdom.
The mining sector is already present, and we are looking for partnerships.
For example, the rare earth elements are a critical strategic resource for many of the products that we take for granted, such as smart phones and medical devices, but also, and it is important to emphasize, for green technology that our world needs today.
In Quebec, we will soon have the chance to have projects on rare earths, such as Quest Rare Minerals, which owns large amounts of heavy rare earth elements.
If we want hybrids, electric cars and energy efficient as well as of new generation wind turbines, then industry needs of the rare earth elements.
My Government has understood and he is enthusiastic about the idea that end users and strategic partners can work these projects to obtain strategic resources in Quebec.
Practices responsible, innovative and friendly environment for mining are the norm in Quebec.
We export our expertise on this subject anywhere in the world. And those who succeed in developing with us the potential mining Plan North, today and in the near future, know very well that the best environmental practices are not only required and expected, but also viable economically for their projects, especially when they are integrated as soon as possible.
Of course, we have a lull in global demand for some metals and minerals. Northern Plan is the framework that will create conditions for the promotion of the mineral potential of Quebec for the next favorable cycle.
We establish a clear and predictable framework for investors; We have created the society of the North Plan which will coordinate the development of the territory.
The integration of different modes of transport in a network coherent multiuser will allow to share the costs of the required infrastructure.
The exploitation of our vast northern territory requires us to build strategic infrastructure.
Northern Plan is the framework through which we evaluate needs and social, environmental and economic opportunities everywhere throughout the territory, which is twice the area of the France.
Recently, we announced investments on the built roads linking northern communities that form a crucial socio-economic axis of the Plan Nord.
In order to release a portion of the mineral potential of the Plan Nord, we announced an investment of 20 million dollars in partnership with mining companies to conduct feasibility studies.
The study is designed to extend a railway line to the northern border and to optimize existing infrastructure to well to stimulate economic development in the North.
Obviously, international investors are welcome.
The Northern Territory has more than 75 000 square miles of forests that can be exploited in a sustainable manner. The clean, cold waters create a conducive environment for aquaculture.
In addition, the waterways of the territory, the geophysical characteristics and the nature in the wild offer outstanding ecotourism potential. protected areas and opportunities for observing wildlife, guided tours of hydro and cruises.
The Northern Plan builds on the desire to listen, mutual respect, openness, dialogue and solidarity. Designed in close continuous collaboration with peoples who occupy the territory for thousands of years, and it will be built as well.
Northern Plan excludes parts of the territory of industrial activities and create a network of protected areas. It combines the conservation development in one of the most comprehensive sustainable development projects in the world.
Since the Plan Nord has everything to gain technical innovation and international scientific collaboration, we have created theNPI of Quebec.
The Institute will provide scientific and technical knowledge they need to communities, Governments and the private sector. It will serve as a hub for research projects are carried-out by member universities.
The Institute brings together teams of social and natural sciences, health and engineering. All these disciplines will provide valuable input.
Misery Lake Property, is being sold off as its assests/minerals are not the same make up as Strange Lake, the processing of the ores are different than Strange Lake. The property comes under the heading of impairment. No use to Quest so is being sold at fair market price.
Hmm just spoken with Mr M Schneiderman cfo
Please see posts 3684, 3692, and 3693 follow the links, should through some light on you question.
Would have been even nicer if it was Quest that had secured this deal. I remember Mr. Cashin saying to me years ago that Siemens where on their radar, as potential JV etc.
Start putting the Champers in the fridge. This is the best news to date the commitment of the Quebec government.

Government intervention adapted to the realities of indigenous and local communities, and the whole of the Northern Territory;
a harmonious, ethical and respectful of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal populations development which is also concerned with equality between women and men.
"Northern Plan cannot exist outside of a close partnership with the communities who live in the territory and the development priorities that they are given. The continuation of the dialogue with the partners of the northern territories reflects the firm commitment of our Government to maintain and strengthen the privileged and dynamic relationship he has established with the environment", said the Prime Minister.
Updated guidance
Minister Arcand noted that on the basis of the long-term vision term of Northern Plan, the Government has targeted three major strategic directions to guide its approach and that of the partners:
highlight in a responsible manner the diverse economic potential of Northern Quebec to the benefit of the populations who live there and throughout Quebec;
support the development of all the communities in the territory of the North Plan, both in terms of the development of their full potential in their living conditions.
protect the environment and preserve the distinctive biodiversity of Northern Quebec in ensuring to implement mechanisms allow to devote, by 2035, 50% of the territory of Northern Plan for other industrial purposes, to the protection of the environment and the preservation of biodiversity.
"The business environment and financial support measures that we put in place will contribute to create favorable conditions to attract private investment in Northern Quebec. To be successful, the Plan Nord we rely also on concrete actions that will lead to a development transport infrastructure and telecommunications. Scientific knowledge, which is necessary to plan our interventions, will be also supported, notably with the creation of the Nordic Institute of Quebec", he said.
Framework of realization
Minister Arcand noted that the Government has a governance structure tailored to the objectives which he is given for the implementation of the Plan Nord. He recalled that the company the North will be the instance key in the deployment of the various components of the Plan Nord. Its mission will be to contribute to the integrated and coherent development of the territory of Northern Plan, in accordance with the guidelines defined by the Government, and in consultation with representatives of the regions and concerned Aboriginal nations, as well as with the private sector.
The company will be supported in its efforts by the Assembly of partners, whose members are appointed in such a way that it is representative of the communities of the territory of Northern Plan as well as the main sectors of activities concerned. Its function is to give its opinion to the company and to the responsible Minister on any matter that the company submits in connection with its mission and its activities. It may also, on its own initiative, provide advice and make recommendations.
Financial framework
With the revival of the Plan Nord, significant investments will support current and future development North of the 49th parallel projects. The Government will build on the sums provided by North Plan funds, which are estimated at 356.7 million over the horizon 2015-2020. These amounts combined contributions of the various departments and agencies, as well as those of partners, will enable the Government to support interventions 1.340 billion over the next five years.
"By adding measures fully financed by various departments and agencies and their partners, intervention carried out on the territory of the Northern Plan will total almost 2 billion dollars on the year 2015-2020. To these amounts, will add substantial investments from the private sector. Contributions from the federal Government can improve the envelopes', explained the Minister.
«By relaunching the Plan Nord, the Government takes a strategic step in pursuit of the approach that he has initiated in 2011 to ensure the harmonious and sustainable development of Northern Quebec. Fort of an updated vision, our Government will be able to achieve the objectives set to highlight the economic potential of the North for the benefit of the whole of Quebec, to ensure the well-being of local and indigenous populations as well as to protect the environment and conserve biodiversity of this vast territory,"concluded the Prime Minister.

Concrete actions to support the development of Northern Quebec (french only)
Montreal, April 8, 2015. -On the occasion of the unveiling of the Plan North up to the year 2035, the plan of action 2015-2020, the Prime Minister of Quebec, Philippe Couillard, accompanied by several Government Ministers, conducted several economic, social and cultural announcements related to Northern Development.
A vital relationship with Aboriginal peoples
The Minister responsible for Aboriginal Affairs, Geoffrey Kelley, emphasized that local populations and involved First Nations and Inuit, have collaborated throughout the process leading to the achievement of the initial version of the Plan Nord. This essential collaboration will continue.
"Northern Plan is an approach inclusive, consistent with the principles of sustainable development and based on respect for the relations of nation to nation, existing agreements and governmental consultation obligations. We have made the commitment to maintain and promote close collaboration with all the partners of this project including with Aboriginal nations in respect for their culture and their way of life, and this, from priorities they have identified. I am confident that the Northern Plan will demonstrate what we can achieve together, collaboratively and in partnership with indigenous and local communities", he said.
A territory in the vast energy potential
The Minister of energy and natural resources and Minister responsible for the Plan Nord, Pierre Arcand, recalled that Northern Quebec had an energy potential important, not only in hydropower, but also in wind energy and bioenergy. These new sources will be highlighted in order to meet the energy challenges of the North.
"Several Plan Northern Territory communities not served by Hydro-Québec due to their remoteness, and must turn to thermal power plants using fossil fuels. It is same for the companies, which have major energy needs, especially in the mining sector. The Government intends to focus on the development of clean and innovative energies to supply isolated communities of the territory of Northern Plan. It also relies on a diversification of energy supply to ensure the retention, development and economic diversification of companies that are there", said the Minister.
Assessing the impacts of development on northern communities
Northern development projects will be able to generate a positive impact, but also cause varying effects on the physical and mental health of the population, lifestyle, family relationships, communities and local infrastructure. To be able to anticipate these effects, the Plan Nord provides a mechanism for assessment of health impacts.
"This new process will integrate with the existing procedure for the assessment of the environmental impacts, so as not to weigh down the processes in place. We will accompany firms so that they carry a particular attention to the impacts of the new projects on the health and well-being of the population, to prevent avoidable problems. Impact studies will be initiated as early as the planning phase of projects, in order to maximize the positive effects on the health of populations", explained Minister responsible rehabilitation, youth protection and public health, Lucie Charlebois.
Measures relating to mineral exploration
"The territory of Northern Plan contains a remarkable mineral potential. To support its development, a stable and predictable environment must be offered to businesses. For this purpose, the 2015-2016 budget contains several measures to support mining exploration, an essential step for mining development', the Minister of Mines, Luc Blanchette recalled.
For two years, the minimum cost of statutory work to be compulsorily carried out on a mineral claim will be reduced by 35%. In addition, upward pricing of rights of registration and renewal of the claims for 2015 will be postponed for one year and also progressive. Furthermore, exploration expenditures for the purposes of the tax system have been expanded to include certain costs. Increased support will be provided to the research on the recovery of tailings and the responsible development of the mining industry. Finally, the annual budget allocated to the work of acquisition of geoscientific knowledge on the territory of Northern Plan will be increased by $ 3 million.
Mining investment support
The Minister of economy, Innovation and exports, Jacques Daoust, reiterated that to highlight the economic potential of the North, it was necessary that Northern Plan meet the prerequisites to attract local investors and foreigners interested in starting development projects in the North. To this end, he recalled the renewal of the mandate of the Société d'Investissement et l'exploration (SIDEX) 2025 diversification, and the renewal of the Action-plot program for the year 2015.
"The mandate of SIDEX is to invest in companies involved in mineral exploration in order to diversify the mineral inventory of Quebec, to stimulate investment in exploration, open exploration and investment in New Territories and promote the development of mining expertise and the emergence of new entrepreneurs. His Action-plot program Meanwhile meets the financing problems faced by junior exploration companies. SIDEX has contributed to the vast majority of the recent discoveries of deposit in Quebec and the opening of new regions resources. There is no doubt that it will play an important role in the deployment of Northern Plan over the next years and the creation of quality jobs in our northern regions", he said.
Transport infrastructure development plan
Large distances, the isolation of communities, the lack of links between northern and Southern Quebec, and opening to foreign markets are all issues that may limit the development of the North. In this context, the Government will coordinate the development and the realization of a comprehensive plan for different modes of transport on the territory of Northern Plan.
"We will put in place an approach to sharing the Nordic infrastructure with partners users of these infrastructures. This approach will include rules and modalities for sharing accurate towards the costs of construction, maintenance and use facilities between various users. The Government advocates the development of an integrated transportation system in response to the guidelines of the Plan Nord, particularly towards sustainable development and access to the territory,"said the Minister of transport, Robert Poëti.
In addition, the Minister announced several major projects, such as the continuation of the upgrade, business in 2009, 17 of 20 airports situated on the territory of Northern Plan, improvement and the rehabilitation of Highway 389 from Baie-Comeau to boundary of Labrador, the extension of Highway 138, between Kégaska and Blanc-Sablon on the Basse-Côte-Nordthe rehabilitation of the road between Kawawachikamach and Schefferville and the rehabilitation of the road from James Bay.
Cultural agreements
Aboriginal nations and local communities want that their culture and their identity also benefit from northern development. In this spirit, the Government intends to act to allow different local and indigenous cultures to ensure their sustainability and increase the support for cultural development. It is also necessary to put at the disposal of the indigenous communities of the tools that will enable them to preserve the vitality of their language, which is at the core of their cultural identity.
"In the context of the implementation of the Plan Nord, we highlight the Nordic cultural heritage by different measures, such as the maintenance and the enhancement of cultural development agreements. The many partnerships we conducted with Aboriginal nations and northern municipalities have demonstrated their flexibility can embrace all disciplines and build expertise in tourism, literature, heritage valorisation in dissemination of knowledge and cultural dialogue. I applaud the choice of target cultural issues such as priority issues for the future of Northern Quebec populations said.
"The Plan Nord is a unifying project whose profits come in several areas. We offer a vision that integrates the social development of the communities and the establishment of the conditions necessary to support this development, for the benefit of all Quebecers,"concluded the Prime Minister.
