TDW is SLLLOOOOOOOWWWWW on OTC and Pink Sheet 'Limit' orders.
I've had a buy in for ETCR at .017 (the last sale for three freakin days) that they haven't filled. There's been practically NO volume at all on the stock, so ya'd think they'd fill the damn order. It's a decent amount of $...
I really like the look of FreeTrade. Will probably head that way when I get the cash to open the acct.
wow..I didn't know about TDW. I'm gonna have to close THAT account asap.
FreeTrade.com looks like a great one...gotta have $5000 cash to open it, but it does look like the best deal for daytraders. I suppose its parent, Ameritrade would be good for the casual trader, if you don't get creamed on the commision.
I'm gonna be hosed if QBID makes a huge run and TDW won't sell more than 100k shares at a time. That sucks.
I agree. The R/S will happen as soon as Frank is gone, which means a buy out of some sort. I'll be long gone by then :)
also..keep in mind that anyone with enough $$$ can send a signal up to a satellite. At my office, we use uplink services all the time. No big deal. Just expensive for time on the bird ;)
Here's a whole bunch of uplink companies:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=satellite+uplink+services
the KEY is whether or not someone wants to pay to DOWNLOAD and watch the signal :) But, after 5 years...I'll consider actually getting the signal UP to the bird a major accomplishment that should push QBID at least up to the .10 range.
good article from a paranoid, terrified right-wing homophobe. Gawd.
(In my best -tounge in cheek drawl): "Yeah..once those darned gays get their own TV station, everyone's gonna wanna be one of 'em. Little pink shirts everywhere. It's the downfall of Amerika, I tell's ya".
gawd.
this country SO needs to get over itself. Damned bible thumping boneheads. Grow the hell up.
Agreed, JC. (I bought in about 6 months after the GAAY/QBID name change).
There HAS been a change in tactis, and they do seem to be for the better. You observations are spot on.
And, OBVIOUSLY, I'm still here because I think the concept is valid and viable. And, I'll probably buy some Viacom stock just because :)
http://www2.marketwatch.com/tools/quotes/intchart.asp?symb=viab&sid=6669&freq=1&time=8&a...
uhm..get a sense of humor, would ya?
I've ALWAYS said to buy QBID at your own risk, based on my 4 YEARS of experience waiting for Frank and company do DO SOMETHING.
Enough already. I will always have a position here, and I will always take profits when I can. And if the channel actually launches and does well, I'll be happy. I'm neither a pumper, or a basher. Just stating factual information based on my experience. That's all. End of conversation.
you have me confused with someone else. I've accumulated a measly 3 million shares at .0001 when I had a few bucks to throw at it during the past lean year, after being around here for 4 years.
I'd have to go back and look, but I think my first profit here was on the last run a few years back when it ran to .07ish and the last major 'We launch in 90 days" series of PR's. ( I think I had bought at .01 or so way back then).
FWIW, I never bash. Ever. I just relate my 4 years of experience in QBID and 'heard it all before' stories of QBID. (I haven't been on iHub all that time tho).
and, if you search long enough, you'll find plenty of positive posts from me praising the viability of the concept of a gay-oriented cable channel. AND I STILL FEEL THAT WAY.
Ignore me if you so desire. I care not :>)
yeah,..100% jump yesterday. up 600% from a few months ago..shoulda bought some at .01 ;)
http://www.siliconinvestor.com/research/chart.gsp?s=wtai&period=120&time=day&chart=bar&a...
in IBZT this am. cool products :)
I'm gonna have to make you a WAV file...
just keep in mind that there are a large number of us out here that have been here for 4 YEARS, with constant broken promises, false launch dates, agreements that fall through, blah blah blah blah blah.
This boy has cried wolf so many times, it's become like a crying baby you ignore.
The only thing that has kept me here is the continued belief that a TV channel specificaly geared toward the gay community could be a very profitable venture. And there hasn't been anyone else interested in doing it.
The fact that MTV is seriously persuing a channel is very encouraging to me, because they have the $$ to do it. So...IMVHO..the news of MTV's persuit will either light a huge fire under QBID to get their ##)*% together, or it will bury them.
nonetheless..I still have a lot of shares:)
aw..come on. Announcing the launch of a network? How long have you been in QBID? I've been hearing about a Launch of QBID for 4 years now :>)
nonetheless..the race is on...
MTV has REAL marketing people who know how to get things done, and get the word out. You'll start seeing more and more news stories about MTV and its Gay Channel.
IF FRANK HAS A CLUE AND IS SERIOUSLY READY TO LAUNCH, the FIRST person he should be hiring is a marketing firm. Marketing is EVERYTHING right now. Creating a buzz is what it's all about. MTV can win that battle right now, and it looks like it's starting to get those wheels in motion.
QBID volume jumping early...
I can dream, can't I?
:>)
at least the article is making the rounds on all the bbs's, and it's stirring the hornets nest a bunch. MAYBE someday it will affect our MM's and stop the theivery :)
I have no doubt that the right gay channel will have a strong, dedicated market, and it's good to hear your point of view.
as a very open minded straight guy, I completely see the validity in the marketplace for a GBLT orient ppv cable channel. My concern now is that a powerhouse like MTV couldn't get it done with Showtime because the cable companies balked at the concept. Maybe that's changing now.
fwiw..I still have a few million shares as well :)
does anyone else think it's weird that MTV would do a PR now? They haven't said boo about their gay-channel plans for two years, yet, as soon as QBID does a big PR and gets a little press...BAM...MTV shows up and makes an announcement.
damn..I've been hanging around too many 'conspiricy theory democrats' lately...
:)
In development for more than two years, Outlet failed to launch in 2002 because MTV had brought in sister network Showtime to market it as a pay channel.
When that strategy didn't pass muster with cable operators, Showtime bowed out of the picture and MTV repositioned Outlet as an ad-supported, digital, basic cable network.
MTV spent two years trying to sell this to cable operators as a pay channel. THEY FAILED. Why would QBID be able to make it work?
THAT statment alone raises every red flag I can imagine. Just my very humble opinion, of course.
I'm finding it hard to justify believing in QBID's validity at this point now.
let's think about it. If MTV does content comparable to Queer Eye, and talk shows and game shows, etc..They'll win. They can even get away 'r' rated gay movies, I would guess.
for $2 a month..what will QBID offer that's more than that?
Think about MTV's demographic as well. Lots of hip, young gays watch as it is. MTV isn't afraid of being confrontaional or controversial in their programming. They always give appropriate disclaimers about content.
Ask yourself a simple question: If YOU were a cable operator, who would you listen to first in regards to a ground-breaking TV station...MTV execs, or Frank Olsen?
Unless this is what Frankie is working on, we're hosed:
MTV Networks revs up gay-themed Outlet
Tue Feb 10, 7:00 PM ET
JOHN DEMPSEY
NEW YORK (Variety) --- MTV Networks, buoyed by positive talks with top cable operators, has begun stepping up the planning for Outlet, a 24-hour network aimed at gays and lesbians.
But with that repositioning, MTV has had to change its programming blueprint to lifestyle shows rather than hard-edged series and movies that push the boundaries of content. Outlet will likely become a part of MTV's the Suite lineup (consisting of MTV, VH1 and Nickelodeon).
As with the various Suite networks, Outlet's license fees would be relatively modest to cable operators. But in exchange, operators would have to place Outlet on digital basic, avoiding the limited-circulation tiers that would keep the network in too few homes to make Outlet play on Madison Avenue.
Outlet's competitor, Canadian-based Pridevision, has created a different business plan. Marketed as a pay network that would cost subscribers an extra $10 a month, Pridevision has a commitment from a few Time Warner cable systems. And it's negotiating with EchoStar for national satellite distribution to its dish owners.
But before Pridevision (which began operations in Canada in September 2001) gets a launch in the U.S., owner Headline Media Group will have to harvest enough venture capital money to cover everything from programming and marketing to office space and satellite feeds.

well..it's ALL about ratings..so.if a small market station wants to stir things up, run a story about those darned homosexuals and their TV station (VERY big grin).
what the hell.. free press is free press.
back up to ..0017 again...might have missed buying in at .0013/0014..pooop. I'll try later today. Gotta head to work soon.
LOLOLOL. 'ABC NEWS??"
ok..I suppose a very small local Illinois affliate in Peoria counts as ABC news.

yeah....looks like it might be time to snag a ittle more. I'll wait till right around lunch time to see how they play it. Sure is fun watching the little 'signal' trades to lower/raise the price.
I'm a bit surprized tho. I really thought it would stay at .005 ish for a while...Guess it's gonna stay low so Frank can do his 'buyback' for a song.
nah...macy gray's already been there/done that.
Katie and Diana are the best ones of the group..but whoever is picking their songs needs a clue :) None of the guys did anything unique.
and I can't believe Scooter Girl isn't there. She was great.
WEGI..
and a very cool company on top of it. cool.
yeah. I think this is the bottom of the shake..All the paniky folks have bailed. There's enough momentum to hold at .002-.004 if the PR's keep coming.
I decided this am that I'm holding for the next 90 days, and taking little chuncks of profit when I can. IF Frankie stays true to form and doesn't launch, I'm gone completely. If TNN does indeed launch, well...we'll see.

Triangle Multimedia Limited Inc. uncertified share info is 15B shares authorized with 7 1/2 B shares outstanding
ya'd think they would have started buying stuff back at .0001, eh? why wait NOW to announce a stock buyback as it's starting to take off? Sure is a hell of a lot of shares out there... kinda puts a pretty realistic damper on how high it can go...
but..we should be at .01 by the end of the week, if not sooner.
of course, because my offer didn't get filled yesterday :) Should be a fun day nonetheless. Gotta keep my finger off the trigger for a little while ;)
I'll be nice to you because you're a newbie here :>)
For the past 4 years, the 'LAUNCH" has always 'only been 90 days away'. It's just kind of a joke phrase to us longs here :)
but..this time...it might be true. I'll be retired by summertime if it is.
90 days???? Again???????? frankie, frankie, franike...tsk tsk tsk..

21st Century's SeaPatch Successfully Deployed -- Environmental Disaster Averted
LAS VEGAS, Feb. 4, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- 21st Century Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:TFCT) announced a successful deployment of SeaPatch, the marine-engineered brother of ProMag, a rare earth permanent magnet-powered leak and rupture sealing system manufactured by Trident Technologies, Inc., its wholly-owned subsidiary. The SeaPatch was applied to a leaking tank of hydrochloric acid by Garner Environmental Services of Deer Park, Texas. The barge was located at a chemical plant. From the time of the arrival of Garner at the barge to the actual application of SeaPatch, less than one hour was consumed, most of which consisted of a safety meeting to be sure that company procedures were being followed. After the successful deployment of SeaPatch which stopped the leak, the tank in question was pressurized to 8 psi and the powerful acid was off loaded in orderly fashion. SeaPatch held against the acid and pressure for over 16 hours during the off-loading procedure. The SeaPatch provided !
an efficient, quick and easy-to-apply solution to an otherwise difficult situation that could have proved to present real problems to the local environment, as well as loss of valuable cargo.
James Branch, president of Trident, said, "This is another example of a successful deployment of Seapatch/ProMag. The fact of the matter is that we have never heard of a an unsuccessful deployment. Our system works every time in those situations for which it is designed to work. These systems are invaluable for environmental protection as well as defense against both accidental and intentional leaks and ruptures of even the most hazardous, difficult to manage materials, such as hydrochloric acid in the barge incident."
21st Century is seeking federal funding to provide SeaPatches and ProMags (the anti-leak and rupture system engineered for land-based use, rather than a marine environment) to equip the nation's 31,000 fire departments and other first responders from the Department of Homeland Security and other sources, such as FEMA and the Department of Transportation. Arland D. Dunn, 21st Century's President and CEO, said, "This kind of report serves to do nothing but strengthen our case to the federal government. SeaPatch and ProMag are so efficient, so successful and so right for the times that we cannot help but be successful in this effort. Our future with these products has never been brighter."
SeaPatches and ProMags are presently part of the equipment inventory of several railroads, chemical and oil companies, first response firms, such as Garner Environmental Services, fire departments and other companies, both large and small, which can be faced with HAZMAT spills.

TFCT...volume and price alert...mmmm
wheee :)
soooooo...for 2 1/2 years, Frank has owned the cool groovy liquidation company, and has never put out a P&L statement? Your point?
believe me, I'm NOT trying to contrarian or argumentative. I've got a nice chunk of speculative $$ invested in QBID, and I VERY MUCH would like to see them launch and do well.
bringing up a two year old PR does nothing but remind me that NOTHING has happened for two years, except the stock price went from .07 to .0001.
I think the only money they have is OUR money :) At least a lot of mine, anyway. And I've yet to see ANY proof they've done anything constructive with it.
I'm a numbers guy. I want to see revenue and profit and SEC FILINGS. What a concept. :)
ernie..as much as I love your optimism at .50, I think you're dreaming. There's something like 800,000,000 shares out (which frankly BLOWS, expecially for a company with NO REVENUE OR PROFIT).
I do agree, however, that .03-.05 is feasible, if not for only speculative reasons on the POTENTIAL of the stock. There is NO doubt in my mind that IF they do indeed launch, it could hit .10 or so, but they will HAVE to do a major R/S to get the OS down to a palatable number.
The QBID printing press of the past 4 years is going to come back and bite them (AND US) in the ass with a LAGRE bite at some point.
THAT BEING SAID, I've been slowly accumulating with spare Vegas Money while it's been hanging at .0001. Hell, I'd be thrilled to sell a large chunk at .01. Many of us here left a lot of $ on the table with ECNC...not gonna let THAT happen again :)
