Media
HOUSTON, Feb 14, 2001 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Affordable Telecommunications
Technology Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: ATTP) today announced it has signed a
letter of intent to acquire Zmail Media, Inc., a leading provider of Interactive
Public Access Terminals (iPATs).
Zmail Media is a Houston-based, privately-held company that empowers communities
and individuals with Interactive Public Access Terminals (iPATs) known as
Zstations. The Company offers iPAT terminals and branded Zstations that utilize
high-speed Internet connections. Through Zstations, consumers can conduct
numerous online activities, such as checking e-mail, browsing the Internet,
conducting e-commerce transactions, and printing documents. Unlike existing
public access devices, the Zstation is a versatile digital multimedia center

According to the letter of intent, Affordable will acquire all the outstanding
common stock of Zmail Media. Zmail will retain all of its executive officers and
operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Affordable. Terms of the acquisition
were not disclosed.
Steve Bethke, president of Affordable Telecommunications Technology, stated, "We
are extremely pleased to announce our intent to acquire Zmail Media. Zmail
organizes specific Web-based and multimedia content into user- friendly
applications. The Zstations network will provide Affordable a dynamic forum for
our advanced voice and data communication technologies, e- commerce, Internet
opportunities, and advertising.
"Zmail Media strengthens Affordable's 2001 growth initiatives. We plan to
cross-promote our retail stores through Zstation terminals as well as utilize
the terminals as a payment center for pre-paid utilities. The synergies created
by this acquisition significantly expand our opportunities to enhance
shareholder value."
Neil Leibman, president and founder of Zmail Media, stated, "We are pleased to
enter into this acquisition agreement. Affordable has built a diverse and
expansive wireless telecommunications product and service line through

Affordable's products on our Zstations and expect our relationship with
Affordable to be mutually beneficial."
