A lot of what you say is true Montanore. I do believe that we had (maybe still have) a shot. I also believe that there was a sincere intent to produce.
My biggest issue is the concerted effort to string us along vis-s-vis the well hookup etc. Little sniglets of information and inferences that better times might be ahead but never what the statements were based on. This went on even up to a couple of months ago when someone called me (nicholas?) re DKGR and asserted his 'belief' that better times were ahead for those riding the TNOG express. I am not selling my shares but neither is it right to expect that everyone give Novak and Company a pass for blowing smoke up the collective asses of the investor base. They lied or skewed the truth in untruthful directions. Maybe they will right the wrongs and all will be well but I do not believe it. Not going to belabor the point but this is what I feel. Those reading it can react as they will.
Capt.. I merely stated an opinion. Relative to being a scam, maybe it is and maybe it ain't. I have no doubt that the initial intentions for this company were honorable and maybe with a bit of luck things might have turned out well. No guarantees in the oil business or in most others.
The "scam" element emerges in the form of multiple disingenous PR's alluding to future developments, ie connecting the gas pipeline, new leases, more "we believes" and "we look forward to yada yada yada", basically a process know as putting lipstick on a pig. It is this portion of the information (such as it were) emerging from TNOG (through Novak) that I suppose might be actionable and would likely be viewed as illegal. I maintain that is partially why Novak's site is down and one doesn't hear much from the initial bunch of scam promulgators in order to present a lower profile for possible prosecution. The question is "when did they recognize that there were problem and was any effort made to communicate any negative issues to the shareholder base". Answer: Early and not at all

All discussions aside it is pretty apparent that we (shareholders) are sitting on an empty shell of a company that has no prospects, no resources, no cash, no scruples and little sign of being capable of rectifying any of the aforementioned points.
Holding a fair amount of this I am sorry to make that sort of statement but to state anything else would be avoiding the obvious.
Note that Novak Capital, the ostensible IR/ PR (BS), representatives of TNOG has had their website down for a substantial time for an "upgrade". I would say it's to present a smaller target for investors that might justifiably feel a bit scammed.
or should be.
Montanore.. sorry. Yes the TNOG site is still up. it is the Novak site that is not. Sent various emails to TNOG IR though through the website with zero response.
Thanks Medchal. It's comforting to know that Clayton likely is still on dry land representing the interests of TNOG investors everywhere. (ya sure, ya betcha)
Unhappily Novak Capital's Website is pretty disfunctional with a notation that someone (Clayton?) is proudly serving in the US Navy. I interpret to mean in Clayton Double Speak "don't hold your breath waiting for an update or anything else for that matter." Great.
I really don't know what to think anymore but I'm hoping you are right. At this stage it won't hurt to see how it all plays out.
My only real thought is if they were planning to tank this why bother to distribute the additional shares. Really, why bother with any PR's at all.
Most of the 'dumping' is the output by emily on another financial site. Pretty hard to see 20-30 ranting posts per day without thinking about the posters agenda.
What is your interest in Clayton or his statements?
Ready to explode? Why? I'm of the traditional mindset that feels that some positive news of actual consequence might supply some impetus. The fact that there is any activity on this issue baffles me given the paucity of information. Actually it saddens me too as I have a fair amount of shares.

Drake Gold Resources Announces Significant Gold Discoveries in Georgia

Drake Gold Resources Releases Independent Investigation Reports on Gold Findings in Georgia From Two Independent Geologists
PORTLAND, OR--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 30, 2007 -- Drake Gold Resources (Other OTC:DKGR.PK - News) is pleased to announce receiving results from two independent geologists. Both reports have shown that Drake's Georgia operations have significant promise with the Gault Group report stating that: "It is evident that [Drake Gold Resources] has targeted a considerable gold deposit." The report goes on to state:
"Assay results (below) indicate a viable gold resource at the surface and indicate a significant gold resource at depth. The hard-rock assay values are of particular interest: max. 0.571 ounces of gold per ton or $340 per ton. The placer gold values are even more concentrated, approaching 1 ounce per ton consistently (combination of DG-20 and DG-15). Typically, when exploring for gold, one has to rely on placer gravels to lead to an area of high concentration in the hard rock. However, the samples assayed at the Georgia property have shown significant gold concentrations in the hard rock as well as the placer.
"To put these samples' concentrations into perspective, the cut-off grade for open-pit gold mines is 0.01 ounces of gold per ton. The Georgia samples have concentrations in the hard rock that are 50 times that of low grade ore."
Samples reported from the Gault Group processed by Hazen Research came back consistent at .566 and .571 ounces per ton. Samples reported by Dr. McLemore processed by ALS Chemex had a max record of 10 grams per ton so that trace elements would be evaluated. 4 of the samples again, both hard rock and placer, came in over 10 grams per ton. The exact amount over is undetermined due to the process. Secondary samples and depth samples will be processed for max amounts in the next couple weeks.
Additionally, Independent Mining Geologist Richard Claus has done two geological investigative reports on this particular project, performed after multiple visits to the site. His findings are based on a limited 650,000 square yard target (approx. 44.7 acres) with 2 yards of pay zone; Mr. Claus determined the example area holds 1.3 million cubic yards of placer gold ore. The samples taken were directly pulled from the gravels and Mr. Claus was able to determine that the conservative average estimate was 1.3 grams per cubic yard of recoverable gold. With these results, the report indicates a projected 54,340 oz of gold. (Both Claus Reports are available as attachments to the Georgia Gold Report found at the link below and on our website.)
Considering these surface samples, geologists point out that bedrock concentrates will most often be significantly higher indicating the need for more in-depth samples that will follow. Company President John Marconette remarked: "We will be following our formula and bringing results to the table as we pave the way towards production."
A report generated internally shows the historic significance of the region's gold recovery as well as placing the current site in context. There have been significant discoveries and production of mines along this trend. The current Drake Gold Resources/Southern Mining and Exploration site is an extension of this belt into a previously unexplored area. With this in mind, the need to keep confidential the exact location of the area is required for Drake and its partner to secure additional land following the trend to identify hard sources.
JV partner Southern Mining and Exploration has already locked up 200-300 acres of prime development land, with an eye on acquiring 1,000 or more additional acres along the trends. The Joint Venture between Drake Gold Resources and Southern Mining and Exploration is contingent not on the issuance of stock, but on the raising of operating capital. The letter of interest regarding the processed aggregate is an aspect of raising these funds and will cut the cost of mining significantly ($1.3M based on expected prices per ton of sands and gravels.)

I've placed my bet and I am betting on AURC being real and viable. I am hoping that things will be proven to be on the up and up so that we are not left down and out but that remains to be seen. The one bright spot is I think we are getting closer to an answer one way or the other.
The way they make both run is by rolling TNOG and DKGR into one. Note their comments re acquiring and oil and gas company.
Now whether the merging of two to this point non productive, non producing entities is a good thing.. who knows but it would be something..
I read but don't post much. Not much to get excited about but a lot to be depressed over. $100 oil and a .01 stock.
All anyone needs to know.
If results can be documented and proven we will move up. Only current uncertainty keeps it down.
Good news regardless. Now if other investors start to believe then we start to move up..
My shares showed up in Scottrade's Gainskeeper Friday. On Saturday they showed up in my general Scottrade account.
I checked my Scottrade too. Gainskeeper shows the 10% share premium but I don't yet show it on my regular holdings screen.
This is good.. something real and concrete. Follow through is a beautiful thing!!
Couldn't agree more. I've been lurking and hoping that some element of common sense or even common decency would emerge. Unhappily with every move this bunch seems to stick the investor with an ever more and more untenable position. What a sad commentary and what a sad learning experience this has been.
I've been lurking and hoping for the best. Good to see that things do not appear nearly as grim as we heard a week or so
back.
I am hoping for the best and I'm not selling (but maybe if we get a "grand pump" one never knows!!).
In for a penny, in for a pound at this point..
Best to all..
I've pretty much been sitting and watching the non events transpire and unhappily I read this as another delaying ploy.
I think much could be forgiven if they would have proceeded with the long overdue stock dividend but as it is this has as much credence as every other announcement of late. I'll believe it when I see it.
Well put.
###### Because if you do, i assure you i can write posts untill sunset prooving logicaly that it is a scam and will bring down the pps to 0.02. ######
WOW!! Such power!!! Imagine how much more impact you could provide if you wrote your scathing commentary in English!!
OT.. slojon.. You are also on the TN** Longs board?
I usually don't post much but I think that 2C has supplied info way beyond the call of duty and way beyond what virtually anyone else would have done.
The situation will now play itself out now for good or bad but I really feel he does not owe anyone out on this thread one whit more of effort.
If you are long and have reasonable faith that things will work out here then a little more time is just a little more time, nothing much in the big picture. Not everything results in instant gratification.
At this point no one on either side of the TNOG issue has a clue as to the final outcome here. Opinions and speculation is all we's got til them TNOG boys says sumpin or reports that they did sumpin. If they did sumpin good then dis ol' stock might be headings up a ways and if they does nuttin one way or the others then we stays here at this spot or lower.
Das all Folks!! An all the fancy talk and didactic ain't gonna change that one whit.
so lets us hope for some news and info
What's love got to do with it? It's nothing but a second hand emotion? Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?
Now .55 per share.. That we can all use.
It appears that, in terms of management at least, that this is a pretty small company. If they are legitimate, my belief and my hope, then they have way too much going on right now to fiddle around with nervous(or curious) investor calls daily, hourly or by the minute.
I bought over a year on the hope that this would amount to something. A week or so should tell the tsle.
Thanks capecoralguy.. will do.
I had planned to add some additional AURC shares but Scottrade does not allow buys at this time (at least on-line).
So basically you bought on the spur of the moment and had no idea at all of what you were doing or why and you are worried because it's been 24 hours and you aren't rich yet.
My advice (in English) -sell out and leave.
Thanks AURC... thank you very much.
I vote (1)
The printing press does not exist vis-a-vis TNOG and the PR machine is on temporary hiatus awaiting further pertinent reportable data.
Unlike yourself TNOG clearly does not feel the need to say something when there is nothing to say.
Are you disabled? Does the constant prattle you spew constitute some kind of a new age 'job'? I know that nature abhors a vacuum but I was hoping for an exception in your case.
Good enough for me restocker. Thanks for the info.
Boy ThSeeker is that the truth. Reading though a lot of the posts out here it seems that all the petulant little kids aren't just posting on My Space.
bluebird.. that is what I truly believe. Hoping for the best for all of us.
The 'matter of opinion' part comes from a selective extraction process. But yes, you are correct as I recall TNOG's interest in the gas well is 16.9%. I have no idea as to the potemtial revenue we might see at this point.
Additionally TNOG has a new person doing IR (Amy, I think). She called me several months ago. She said that TNOG is more or less at the mercy of the people connecting the pipeline who ultimately determine the time schedule but that it is in process.
Re the 'new management stuff', it matters to me. The reality is that likely Novak could have let this die a slow death but instead are trying to put the elements in place to get this up and working. I commend the effort and with luck I hope that we all can see a positive outcome. Guarantee? Nope. But at least it feels like we have a shot. That something it far better than the previous nothing.
