VALUE IN SYNC NOW
Metalla 34.8M sh O/S x 6.10/sh = 212M market cap
Abitibi 12.5M sh O/S x 16.14/sh = 202M market cap
ELYGF 157.2M sh O/S x 1.33/sh = 209M market cap
So, Ely's value has been "adjusted" to very close to other comparable stocks.
Can the price of gold take us even higher?
Really, WILL this be the next FrancoNevada? The next Royal Gold? Trey might be SERIOUS when he says this on their June presentation!
Good Heavens - Is my prediction of US$1.43 going to come true?
Trump is already on Parler.
Parler is a GREAT app, which I installed last night, works great, easy to read.
All Trump has to do is mention that and twtr will be TOAST.
Today must be ROCKET MAN day! We had news about an NSR on the Olympic Gold property (Nevada) on Friday, but I wonder if THAT is what is attracting all the attention? As I've said in the past, when you compare the market cap of this company with reference to other companies similarly situated, it is WAY undervalued - personally, my opinion is ELYGF should be trading for at least US1.43.
JUST MY OPINION: But when you compare the market caps of the two other royalty streaming companies, per the data from ELYGF's January, 2020 update, ELYGF is WAY undervalued. My computations indicate the share price of ELYGF should be about 1.79, and that's using the LOWEST market cap of the other two companies (Abitibi and Metalla). Do your own due diligence.
So, we purchased a producing royalty. I'm assuming we got it at a nice "discount"? Somebody in desperate need of cash? These things don't just happen because somebody (Sprott) is charitable/magnanimous.
FTman - Did you really hear there is going to be a buy-out?
Just putting a pencil to it, my computations indicate that when we compare the market caps of other two emerging gold streamers (Abitibi and Metalla), ours should be about the same market cap and our resulting share price would be about 1.79 (and that's going with the LOWER of the other two market caps, that of Abitibi, and using our outstanding of 127M shares - it could be as high as 2.01 using Metalla's market cap). I know that's kind of an "convenient" and unrefined way of looking at it and that there are other factors, but there is definitely a low valuation going on here with ELYGF.
Sure would be nice to know what's going on with this one. Is the news that was referenced in the market halt the news that we ALREADY know about? Or is there some other news coming down? Somebody mentioned we might get bought out? Hmmmm .......
The following was announced at 6:30am this morning:
Ely Gold Royalties (TSXV: ELY) (OTCQB: ELYGF) Options Important Tonopah Patented Claims

Is there something else coming?
FYI: Some guy on Yahoo Finance board posted:
You guys don’t get it. If Stock West connects with East over 3 km of strike it’s a grand slam for us. Robin said consistency of grade and width means most likely from same source. She had a slide showing similar rock to Kerr Addison a 10 m oz deposit. That’s the HINT on our Treasure Hunt with Rob!! That was the message of today’s Webinar and not one of you got it !!!!! glta
Excellent perspective on the posture of gold price:

A little more patience.
Hmmmmm ....... bad 3rd quarter results (McEwen was hat in hand on yesterday's conference call), AND the price of gold is relatively unchanged, yet this stock moves UP today? Something must be going on in the background that we don't know about (McEwen allude to mergers & acquistions in the conference call) - but somebody else does.
I'm starting to think the impeachment proceedings interposed by U.S. Democrats is affecting the price of gold more than I originally thought - wish they would stop the shenanigans, it's hurting our investment.
Agreed with the NIA thing, but I am glad our boys decided to terminate the contract - glad our boys too a stand to preserve the company from pump and dump status.
On another note, I'm starting to think the impeachment proceedings interposed by U.S. Democrats is affecting the price of gold more than I originally thought - wish they would stop the shenanigans, it's hurting our investment.
GOLD IS UP 19.52 pre-opening. We ought to have a nice ride today.
Hmmm ...... seems like there is a respectable number of investors who believe this stock will tank. Personally, in the LONG run I think this is a very good investment, but some folks seem to be playing, and hoping for, the swings.
Healthy pull-back?
SEEKER, thanks for the private message - I think the system prevents me from replying since I'm not a paid member, but thanks.
So, ELYGF should be trading at US$.4235 bottoms, per your thinking (CAD$.55 x .77 = US$.4235).
Hmmmm ....... seems like we have about US$.089 left to go upwards!

Thanks Seeker for these posts - I'm relatively new around here.
I buy this story! And I bought some more today and will probably continue to average in.
You sound like Rob McEwen [insert fleeting smile].
It seems like a fire sale to me - bought more.
Yeah, it announced he sold a material portion of his position.
Gold price is down, pre-market - looks like MUX is gonna take a hit today. Personally, I think this is all due to the current American political turmoil, but I think that once the American people and the markets digest things and see that there is no merit to the accusations against Trump, things will turn around in a big way. But that's just me - I do realize and respect that others might have a different perspective.
SEPTEMBER 20, 2019 - B.Riley/FBR analyst Vernon Bernardino initiates coverage on McEwen Mining (NYSE: MUX) with a Buy rating and a price target of $4.20.
I think I'm gonna load up on this one - in 4-5 years, it oughta be 10.00 easy. Next time it dips to 1.70'ish I'll buy more. This guy McEwen knows what' he's doing - I've really enjoyed all the interviews that have been posted.
So the FED reduced interest rates today - and now the price of gold goes down? Something's not right - is there an independent reason for the weakness in gold?
" ..... and believed there were others in the company who were of decent character and good will, had or were acting in good faith to fully discharge their fiduciary duties toward us stuckholders."
Assuming all the allegations turn out to be true, I have to say I am in this group (of shareholders) too. I just didn't believe with the other people running around, one of which was supposed to be some corporate governance and security expert (see the wild chatroom ravings at the time of the "done, done, done" speech), that something like this could happen. But, this is precisely the reason some of these folks have been "generous" in turning their ill-gotten shares of stock back over - according to the allegations, it's quite clear they had some level of knowledge and it appears some sort of CONSPIRACY was going on. This is why not ONE of these folks needs to be allowed to walk, not one. Accountability. Civil accountability, at least.
Hey jetpilot, didn't Auryn sink a few million greenbacks into MDMN? Don't they own quite a few shares? You and Baboon can debate whether Auryn management has confidence in prior and current management, but I think it's clear Auryn has enough confidence in their investment in MDMN to put some actual money into it, right? I understand you're pretty perturbed about the way things have gone down (who isn't?), but facts are facts.
My friend's father, who was employed at Freeport at the time, was involved in this case at a high level with Jim-Bob Moffett. The bright side of this case is that Canadian authorities enacted NI43-101 in response thereto.
I have quite enough exposure in this stock, more than I care to disclose. But personally I beieve it is a great buy at this price, an easy double from here, but what do I knoe?
Fair enough - I guess you're around here because you want your "pound of flesh" out of the alleged misdoings of prior management. I guess since you scored a nice gain on this stock, you're thinking maybe you could have done better. That makes sense to me, as I believe this stock is worth a lot more than 17 cents. I'm betting deep in the cockles of your fertile brain you believe the same - haha!
Yep, we'll see what ENAMI comes up with on the metallurgical tests. From what I gather, not only will we learn the grade of what the particular vein has to offer, but also the METHOD of processing which maximizes efficiency of processing (read more dollars). This will be very interesting to me - admittedly, I'll be relying on the translation of the more sophisticated geos around here and in other parts. Exciting times.
ASSUMING I HAD THE INDEPENDENT EVIDENCE TO PROVE IT, my first step would be to obtain a temporary restraining order ex parte and then to immediately bring Les in on a petition for preliminary injunction, as any sales of shares by Les or any of his controlled entities is currently causing IRREPARABLE INJURY to the shareholders. That would shut the defendants down, but it would NOT shut down sales by people who innocently purchased Les's shares on an exchange. Bringing a halt to the alleged fraudulent activity would be a huge first step, and one that would engender the confidence of shareholders and maybe the broader market IMMEDIATELY. Other, competent attorneys disagree with me for tactical reasons, which I understand and respect.
Then, I would proceed with the litigation - as MDMN's current counsel is doing.
But, being a shareholder (as I am), I am obviously very sensitive to the CONTINUED damage that transpires on a daily basis, and so I believe aggressive action needs to be taken to cut the spigot off. It would also give me a temporary reprieve from the funny looks I get from my wife. This company, MDMN, I sincerely believe to have the goods - they have a mountain full of goodies. The facts Auryn invested in MDMN and now we now have pre-production metallurgical test being conducted vindicates people like Brecciaboy who has been right all along concerning geological aspects of the ADL. I studied his information for over six months before I invested - and am still glad I did, as I believe all these problems are going to work themselves out, even the dilution for which I believe the mineralization and production will make up for.
Since my father was a naval pilot, I know being up there can be a little boring (over friendly territory, that is), but do try to keep your eyes on the runway, as bad things can happen when distracted by mere platitudes concerning a stock you say you don't own. Something tells me you have more skin in this game than you're willing to admit. Don't be afraid, lots of us are in the same boat.
My best to you and yours!
Don't get your hopes up, jetpilot, the SEC is made up of government workers, the large majority of whom are simply looking to clock in, push a little paper, get it off their desk, and then clock out and go home. Take it from an attorney who has prosecuted both tax and securities matters, unless you're a notorious defendant (like a politician) the government is looking to do as little as possible. They will not prosecute unless and until they absolutely find your hand in the cookie jar (read easy cases). In fact, they already tried to take Les to the mat once and they lost their arses, right? Most state administrators are the same (these are the state government people who regulate securities issues in their respective states).
On the other hand, civil litigation is an option, but an EXPENSIVE one. Do you want to pay? Most people do not, even wealthy people, as they know that even if you do get a judgment, the defendant might not be solvent, which means you lose AGAIN.
You have a bad memory - I was just taking another poster's information and extending his logic. To take what I said as my belief the share price would go to 60.00 is just plain dishonest. Whatever - Govern yourself accordingly. Bald Eagle has an abject hate for brecciaboy and a very generous opinion of himself (to put it nicely), which is where his comments are coming from.
No, I do not feel very good about the share price of this stock. That's why I try to see the positive in all this - constantly slamming of the stock will do nobody any good.
Of course, I'm very disappointed in the allegations that have been made about prior management - once those allegations are adjudicated then I will govern myself accordingly. Since I'm an attorney, that could include me proceeding in the appropriate forum on various causes of action against various people/entities. As for Mr. Price, I do not know the man.
You're taking argumentative statements I made out of context, and intentionally so I might add. My policy is to always debate issues honestly.
