Asia Pacific Unit In Pact For Potash Deposit Devt >APQCF
11:06 EST Thursday, November 13, 2003
TORONTO (Dow Jones)--Asia Pacific Resources Ltd. 's (APQCF) Asia Pacific Potash Corp. subsidiary has signed a memorandum of understanding with Beijing-based China State-Owned Enterprise Investment Co., or CSEIC, pursuant to which the companies will work together to develop Asia Pacific Potash's Udon Thani potash deposit in Thailand.
In a news release, Asia Pacific Resources said the partnership will focus on securing long-term offtake commitments for the supply of high-quality potash to the agricultural markets of China, Thailand and across Asia, and arranging financing of about $300 million. This is the estimated capital cost for the first stage of the proposed 2-million-metric-ton-a-year Udon South mine.
The mineral-exploration company said CSEIC will establish a consortium of Chinese partners, with capabilities in the areas of investment, financing, technical support and sales and marketing. It said its subsidiary and CSEIC will work together to finalize all aspects of the arrangements between them in the coming months.
CSEIC "recognizes that China is deficient in potash, a key natural resource for agriculture," the company added.
Asia Pacific Resources added that it's still in talks with other potential investors and strategic partners who could bring value to the project.

Asia Pacific Resources Announces Memorandum Of Understanding Signed In China
08:45 EST Thursday, November 13, 2003
TORONTO, ONTARIO--Asia Pacific Resources Ltd. announced today that its subsidiary company, Asia Pacific Potash Corporation (APPC), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Beijing, China, based China State-Owned Enterprise Investment Company (CSEIC).
The MOU was signed by Wang Gang, the Chairman of the Board of CSEIC and Khun Plengsakdi Prakaspesat, the Chairman of APPC. The two companies will work together to develop APPC's Udon Thani potash deposit in Thailand; in particular through securing long-term offtake commitments for the supply of high quality potash to the agricultural markets of China, Thailand and across Asia, and through arranging financing of approximately US$300 million. This is the estimated capital cost for the first stage of the proposed 2.0 million tonne per annum Udon South mine.
The MOU signing, which took place today in Shanghai, China, was chaired by Khun Korn Dabbaransi, President of the Thai-Chinese Friendship Association and former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, and was attended by officials from the Chinese and Thai Governments and representatives from various Chinese financial institutions and companies.
CSEIC will establish a consortium of Chinese partners, with capabilities in the areas of investment, financing, technical support and sales and marketing. APPC and CSEIC will work together to finalize all aspects of the arrangements between them in the coming months.
CSEIC, a company under the auspices of the central government of the People's Republic of China, operates in the following business areas: project finance, investment management, asset trust management, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, financing intermediary services, and related consulting services. CSEIC, through stated-owned asset allocation, equity ownership purchases, direct investment, indirect delegation and other channels, possesses multiple majority-owned companies and owns minority stakes in multiple other companies. These companies operate in diversified industries, including mining, product processing and construction materials.
CSEIC recognizes that China is deficient in potash, a key natural resource for agriculture. China currently imports in excess of five million tonnes of potash per annum, and demand is growing significantly.
"We are particularly pleased to be able to announce the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding with CSEIC. This is a significant vote of confidence in the Udon Thani project and will give the company access to the important agricultural markets in China," said John Bovard, President and Chief Executive Officer of Asia Pacific Resources Ltd.
"China has expertise and capabilities in the financing of mining developments and in the marketing of potash. The project provides a valuable resource to meet the significant growth in demand in China. CSEIC will take the lead among the Chinese investors and partners to participate in APPC's potash project," said Wang Gang.
John Bovard added that Asia Pacific Resources is still in discussion with other potential investors and strategic partners who could bring value to the project.
Asia Pacific Resources shares are traded on the TSX as well as the Frankfurt and Stuttgart Stock Exchanges, under the symbol APQ, and on the OTCBB under the Symbol APQCF.
The information provided in this news release may contain forward looking statements within the meaning of the Safe Harbor provisions of the US Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. JRSE Submits Application to the FDA for Permission to Use Resonator System for Relaxation; Spa Industry Potential Lucrative Market Space
15:50 EST Wednesday, November 12, 2003
BOYNTON BEACH, Fla., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harvey Grossman, President and Chief Operating Officer of Jacobson Resonance Enterprises, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: JRSE), announces today that JRSE has submitted a 513(g) application with the FDA for non-medical use of our patented technology. Specifically, with this submission, we are seeking permission to use Jacobson Resonance in the form of extremely weak but unchanging physiologic magnetic fields for a "Non-Invasive Resonator System For Relaxation."
The type of magnetic fields that we are proposing to use is essentially and qualitatively identical to the permanent steady magnets that are sold over-the-counter throughout the world, with only one significant difference. Jacobson Resonance magnetic fields are millions of times weaker than the permanent steady magnets being sold in the marketplace.
Quoting Dr. Jerry I. Jacobson: "Magnetism associated with permanent magnets has been used freely throughout the world for many years. Magnetic fields that do not change polarity, i.e. possessing no frequency alternation, have been considered perfectly safe for human use because they do not induce electrical energies produced by changing magnetic fields. One can find such magnets in department stores in the form of footpads, mattresses, bracelets, necklaces and in systems where an array of magnets may be held about various parts of the body for extended periods of time. Magnets have been known to produce feelings of relaxation. Thus, from a non-medical point of view, we desire to use magnetic fields of a static nature (just as permanent magnets) to produce feelings of relaxation, yet with the kinds of magnetic fields naturally produced by the body. These fields are actually millions of times weaker than the permanent magnets commonly used. Based upon data gleaned from clinical studies in Europe and Canada, the observed effects have been reported to be analogous to the permanent magnets while the approach is more natural."
Illustration: Upon receiving permission from the FDA to use our resonator system for relaxation purposes, JRSE would then have the potential to enter into the multi-billion dollar spa industry. In fact, according to the International Spa Association (ISPA) 2002 Spa Industry survey, there are 9,632 spas in the United States and approximately 1,300 spas in Canada. The total revenue for the Spa industry has doubled in two years (114 percent increase). In 1999, total revenue was $5 billion, and in 2001, it increased to $10.7 billion. Fifty-one percent of the industry revenue is from treatment rooms and forty-nine percent of treatment room revenue is from massage. The number of spa locations has doubled every four years and spa industry revenues have even surpassed box office gross receipts and amusement/theme park revenues.
Once again, it should be noted that JRSE has just submitted the application to the FDA seeking permission for relaxation purposes. As with all submissions to the FDA, it is a process that takes at least a few months before a decision is made, and there are no assurances that permission will be granted. However, if granted, JRSE will then aggressively enter the Spa and Leisure sector and make every effort to tap into this multi-billion dollar market space.
JRSE is an emerging worldwide leader in magnetic resonance technology, whose main focus is the eradication of human suffering. The Company's technology base has the potential for multiple industry applications including the fields of medicine, spa and leisure arena, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, energy and the environment.

CHATSWORTH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 12, 2003--
Go Online Networks to Seek Growth Opportunities in Wi-Fi, Computer
Hardware, Consumer Electronics and Software Development Sectors
Joe Naughton, CEO of Go Online Networks Corp. (OTCBB:GONT), announced today that the Company has been analyzing numerous opportunities in the technology sector to support future growth opportunities for the company. Historically, GONT's operating division Digital West Marketing Inc. has experienced rapid growth in the computer services arena recording over $12 million in revenues in 2002 and over $5 million for the first six months of 2003. Management has also branched out of the Personal Computer sector and has offered printers and ink cartridges to its existing customer base. The company intends to continue to build this core business of refurbishing personal computers, notebooks, PDA's, monitors and printers. In addition to this core business, management has recognized the trend in the personal computer hardware manufacturing sector to incorporate more consumer electronic items into their business models. The company is actively seeking to expand into the consumer electronics arena.
The most promising area of growth for the company is clearly the Wi-Fi arena. Digital West Marketing is in the process of developing a Business to Consumer and Business to Business E-commerce division that will feature new and refurbished Wi-Fi products, provide service and "Hot Spot" installation and management services. The management of Digital West is working with e-commerce engineers from the Southern California-based computer design and services firm Noesis Consulting Group, Inc.
"A recent report by the Boston Consulting Group has estimated that global mobile commerce will generate revenues of $100 billion in 2003 and that an estimated 35 billion emails will be sent per day by 2005," commented Joseph Naughton, CEO of Go Online Networks.
Notebook computer usage is expected to grow to over 150 million users globally and to over 60 million notebook users in the US by 2005. Shipment of wireless enabled notebooks is expected to reach over 15 million units by 2005. Wireless public access service revenues are expected to grow to over $640 million by 2006 up from $11 million in 2001 based on an increase of from 2,000 locations to 42,000 respectively.
"These growth statistics are obviously quite impressive. As Digital West has developed expertise in the PC arena over the past few years branching into wireless arena, in the view of our management team, provides the most opportunity to grow our business. From our analysis of the research data, computer uses will be paying for technology that enables them more freedom. Freedom to access the internet and to communicate without the confinements and entanglements of the wired world is a trend that Digital West hopes to embrace," concluded Mr. Naughton.
About Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi -- short for "Wireless Fidelity" -- is a short-range wireless technology that makes it possible for portable computing devices to connect to the Internet. Business users now routinely seek out Wi-Fi Internet connectivity at public places called "Hot Spots" to access email and web sites on their laptop computers. Hot Spots have sprung up at airports, hotels, and coffee shops. The Wi-Fi services market is projected to grow to $44 billion in 2008. The Wi-Fi technology is being adopted by a wide range of companies and industries including Nextel, Motorola, McDonald's, Starbucks and many other non-profits and small businesses. The equipment is inexpensive, and most new laptop computers and many PDA's are now being shipped with integrated Wi-Fi capability. Wi-Fi technology conforms to an industry standard for wireless equipment -- published as 802.11(x) standards. Wi-Fi equipment operates today in unlicensed radio frequency spectrum -- including the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 24, 2003--BioCurex Inc. (OTCBB:BOCX) is pleased to announce that extensive evaluations of the company's RECAF(TM) cancer detection technologies have commenced at Hopital Europeen Georges Pompidou in Paris, France.
In the first stage, BioCurex's FDA approved Histo-RECAF(TM) kit will be evaluated utilizing tissue sections (biopsies). Dr. Diane Damotte, Department of Pathology, Pompidou Hospital will lead the study. Dr. Damotte has expressed a keen interest in this project. She has also expressed the hope that once the initial study is complete her Department will be able to undertake further analysis of BioCurex's RECAF(TM) marker technology.
In the second stage, the Cancer Department at Pompidou Hospital would examine other aspects of the RECAF(TM) technology -- such as blood tests and tumor imaging.
BioCurex's President and CEO, Dr. Ricardo Moro stated: "The work in Paris has another important consequence: The connection with the Department of Pathology came through Prof. Jean-Marie Andrieu, Head of the Department of Oncology at Pompidou. This association allows BioCurex a unique opportunity to work with a whole team of oncologists. We expect that this collaboration will result in a comprehensive evaluation of RECAF(TM)'s efficacy, including pathology, blood tests and tumor imaging.
"Our initial studies indicate that the RECAF(TM) technology works on practically all types of cancer. However, we need to obtain independent validation for each cancer type. This process is time consuming; there are many different kinds of cancer. Therefore, as part of our overall strategy, we are engaging scientists in what can be best defined as a multi-centric, international study. The work to be done in France is necessary for the licensing of BioCurex's technology to European Biopharma companies."
The aggregate market size for the two tests is estimated in over $2B per year.
About BioCurex:
