Thank you homebrew. You know what I find amazing is that I get different distribution of news from different sources. Many times my main broker post news that is not found on IHub. And IHub post news that is not alerted by my broker (usually paid PR's) etc etc etc..... I'm pretty sure a bunch of long investors got caught off guard by what just happened. If a company can send out snail mail about proxy vote announcements, dividends, etc etc etc..., why was an announcement not sent out that this company was getting shut down? Don't get me wrong, I really do appreciate all the new faces telling everybody after the fact :) Thanks again

Everything is still on the table right now. Can understand people giving him an earful on twitter right now. We are talking a stock that was running between .0085 and .035 PPS the past month before he shut it down. Question, where are those funds right now? At 285,277,634 of 650,000,000 * shares of common stock just getting wiped out, there's a lot of money that just swapped hands in a very abrupt manner. I'm still thinking he has a strategy that is going to make this all clear sooner than later. To be a fly on that wall of what is being discussed behind closed doors right now. Can't believe this is not the story of the day on financial news!! This is RR, not a 2 bit hustler.

What Happens When a Company Cancels Its Common Stock?

When a company cancels its common stock, it declares all existing common stock certificates to be null and void. Most often, companies cancel stock when going through bankruptcy proceedings. After canceling, the company may cease to exist or issue new shares in a reorganized company. In either instance, the canceled shares only have value as souvenirs, not as securities.

Notification

A company can cancel common stock in bankruptcy and occasionally in other situations such as reverse stock splits, though a temporary recall is more common. The company may need authorization from a regulatory power before it can cancel, depending on where the company operates. It then instructs a financial service, called a transfer agent, to notify all investors, exchanges and other parties involved in the exchange of its common stock.


Certificates

The transfer agent notifies all relevant parties and updates databases so that all outstanding shares of common stock appear as "canceled." If an investor holds a paper certificate, the transfer agent may try to recall the certificate but can also simply update databases so that any search for the certificate number will show that it is no longer a valid stock certificate.

Meaning

A canceled share of common stock has no value as a security. The company no longer recognizes that share as representing ownership in the company and therefore other investors no longer recognize it as valuable.

Situations

Companies can cancel shares and not issue any more, which frequently happens in bankruptcy cases. Companies can also cancel existing shares of common stock and reissue new shares. In cases where common stock is reissued, the old shares have no value and no longer represent ownership, while the new shares do.

See this is where I find it hard to believe that our shares are actually gone. I wish I had more insight, I'm trying to find other similar situations where this has happened but am having a hard time. Most scams crash the PPS. Or they get seized by the SEC. This is something not in that vein. I'm in a holding pattern and just watching how this unfolds. Don't let others create a chicken little atmosphere. I do know that my portfolio has about a million shares of what used to be RVUE. It is still in my portfolio, as of 10 seconds ago. So arguments that it's gone has no merit. I'm gonna go have a late lunch and enjoy the rest of the day. Patience is one of my strengths. Panic is not something that I do.
