I'm curious if this was developed with a specific use category in mind. And if it is a result of MS not being what someone wanted but KT wanted them as a customer.
Posts like this make me realize there are much smarter people out there than myself.
Yea it is virtually impossible. Not physically impossible. Derpty der.
I said it can. Odds are 1 in 400,000,000 with piggy bac. KT stated the chances if piggy bac being right were 1 in 20,000. They got a 1 in 20,000 chance twice?
Wrong. Doesn't say that.
Ok thanks buddy, read the pr silkworm protein, spidersilk protein, and another gene from an unrelated animal. Pretty plain English. Have fun with your misinterpretations I will not be responding.
I think this is pretty big. It shows ZFN works as desired. They have three different genes in one silk. That had to be with ZFN. Piggy bac can't do that.
Could be worth an email to Ben.
It sounds as thought there were multiple traits put into this silk. The odds of two genetic insertions working via piggy bac is 1 in 400,000,000. That is per KT stating in an interview the odds of success with piggy bac were one in 20,000.
I would think it is sigma tech. Piggy bac sounded really unreliable. Like they got kinda lucky with the first generation.
I love how the price went up 30 percent one day before a new product is announced. One that proves the first silk product wasn't just a fluke.
R and d assistance isn't neccesary. They have the leaders in r and d working with them. Why deal with some beaurocracy
The more connections and potential pipelines he has, the more this company is worth. Instead of looking at a merger and saying we have 10 companies that wanted to do business, you are telling them we chose 2-4 to start with and there are another 50-100 that want to work with us. The leg work being put in is worth as much in the long run as the initial partnerships we create.
The tree has been shaken. This wont move to far from here.
And that has clearly been noted. There is a market. Go talk to a special forces soldier. I just did.
Yea, prime example of the tortoise winning the race.
A large quantity of material could have easily been spun to date. I doubt we are throwing away the cocoons every time we get a generation larger.
This is just stupid. They have accomplished the genetic engineering. I guess a smart guy with Wikipedia and YouTube will probably have a harder time making silk then some uneducated people in third world countries that may as well still be in the 18th century. Yea. Feeding worms, and sending cocoons to get spun. Real complex stuff. That's the joke about the whole thing. The silk exists, there is the egg storage and production capacity to produce serious volume. Gen 1 alone makes this company worth billions. Once a deal is signed this company is legit to the market. And to companies like DuPont. Once the pipelines are established we are in a different level. And we already are in a new level from where were a year ago.
Was in total agreement including the last part while I was reading and was gonna post that anyways. I was the person who mentioned bae. We can produce a sizable portion in the market rapidly. The next stage is glory. We are certainly in the stage between development and established functioning revenue streams. 500 tons x 60k/ ton = 25 million.
I don't care about calm seas. They are a clearing house. I think this one got flogged two months ago.
Onlineuniversities.com, great source. So which one of those instances had a publication in the proceedings of the national academy of sciences?
And I meant two in each market. Let two companies in each market battle it out. And then let those markets battle each other. I do think it would be wise to make 10 pounds of fabric available to the cutoure(?) fashion market. Find a designer to make 5 custom high fashion dresses for 50k a piece. Cause a fuss. Make a bunch of crazy fashion people beg for this to become bigger.
I think he is gonna give two people in the main markets partial exclusivity. Then just let the industries battle it out amongst themselves. Capitalism at its purest. And I can already see this going to a military contractor.(bottomless pockets) God Bless America!!!!!!!
What happened to Eddie? It was nice to feel like you had someone on a sheet of acid putting things in perspective.
Out of university facilities? Where did you see that?
Yea to break it down, I'd say it didn't work. So not sure what it means as far as what the result was. The removal of the silkworm protein was a success. So there is something not catching properly. I'd like an update on what platform worm means. Cause from what I've felt along the way it's much more then just to deal with spider silk.
Really excited to see the lab is in the university. Probably very inexpensive for us. I see he mentioned having bio sensor security measures. I was wondering if they were waiting till everything was in place and a closed system before disclosing the location.
Up forty percent on less then a million in volume. So think about what will happen with 30 million in volume trying to buy when it is announced that we partnered with under armor or reebok, or lockheed Martin or bae systems. Because that day will come this year.
And neither of those events will involve a hinting via a PR. But perhaps those who are critical have had great success building 21st century technology companies and are right.

There are two material things that will mark the next step in the company. Lab success on gen 2, or commercialization of monstersilk. Lab success is just that, a success at the end of a set of experiments. Signing an agreement with a large company. The former is an unknown, the latter takes time. Only the greedy who have not been around for years want a partnership signed quickly. I know what this technology is worth and capable of. I can wait for it to be on the best terms. We licensed zinc fingers for less then a quarter million dollars. I have confidence he is on the ball now that it's about revenue.
That was well needed, and well appreciated.
Well said
He is doin things right. It's a non liquid stock. Blue chips are checkers, pennies are chess.
If it does take that long, and the share price continues to dive and, i get the powder I'm anticipating in a couple months, I'm gonna be pretty damn happy to reload around .02
Damn that would be great!
I don't think he would enter into any situation where he did not have control of the direction of the company. He did corporate law so I'm sure he has a grasp of how to word everything in his terms.
I am frustrated to see the price drop through the floor. But as history shows, silence only means positive developments. Think what you want and buy as you will. I am an accumulator.
Fast movement to a low bottom is the name of the game. This could go to .01 if it wanted in a day. The investment is what it's worth if the announcement comes. It's pennies. Movement day to day and week to week isn't the biggest part. It's what happens two years from now if they have a breakthrough or a deal signed tomorrow.
Super jealous bud. I wish i had powder to add. If you need someone to help you shake out your new carbon fiber sail inventory, don't hesitate to call!
I truly think any of two major announcements that could happen would occur on a Friday after the closing bell.
