Yea Fali, Scottrade seems to be the only brokerage that anyone is having issues with. Hopefully it will be fixed pretty soon . :)

Yea BL that is what another poster had said. If that is the case, then Scottrade could be in some serious trouble because I have 2 emails from the corporate Scottrade center saying that it is a Global Lock. Im pretty sure that if it is a Scottrade only lock, the company would be in trouble for stating otherwise.

He didnt know that it was locked. He was headed over to his computer to check it out but I was in a rush so I just asked him to explain the DTCC global lock. As he was explaining it I told him that the stock was still trading and has been for about 3 days now since my shares were restricted. He went on to explain the process and said that the lock happens for different reasons. It could be that something is about to happen with the corporation as far as a merger or something or it could be for something due to some type of fraud. He did say that the fraud may not be something that even has to do with the corporation. It could be from outside sources that did a naked short sale or something along those lines. After that he went into the secondary clearing houses. He wished that Scottrade was able to trade the stock. I'm thinking that what he meant by that was " I wish that I was able to cash in on all of the missed commissions due to the lock".

I with you BL... It's really hard to know what or who to believe in the stock market. He didn't seem to be trying to pull the wool over my eyes. I wasnt giving him any type of attitude so there was really no reason for him to. He may have just been speculating. All I know is I hope that stupid lock gets lifted.

Just spoke with the manager at my local Scottrade branch . He explained to me that even with the dtcc global lock on MWIS , the stock could still be traded. Scottrade can't trade the stock because the dtcc is who they use to settle and clear their transactions . However other brokerages may use and different clearing house so that gives them a route around the dtcc lock. So for the people that don't have MWIS shares with Scottrade ,it looks like your clear to continue trading away. For us that are stuck with Scottrade we are SOL until the lock is hopefully lifted . Do your own DD & GLTA

I can see some orders that were placed this morning on the ask side , but I see nothing for today on the bid.

If they both stopped trading that could mean that the acquisition or merger is taking place . IMO

That is a great question Tech and I would THINK that with joining forces with Vringo it would lift the lock as it would show that MWise is a legit company IMO. I'm going to do my best to stop by the local branch and speak to someone in person tomorrow. It's hard to tell what is actually the truth when you read a email or talk to someone on the phone . It's a lot easier to tell when your looking into a persons eyes !

Shouldn't someone that spent thousands of $$$ in a stock receive a courtesy call or email from their broker to at least be given the option to sell the stock or keep it before a lock is placed on it ? You can't tell me that this happened within one message from the clearing house and Scottrade just shut it down ! They had time to warn their clients I'm sure ....

Anyway ... On a brighter note . Mwis is expected to release their 10k 3/26/11 . Hopefully it's yummy and attracts some new investors . Good luck everyone

How can they not look and see that the stock is still trading ? It's almost like they locked the wrong stock or something .

I just got a email reply from scottrade saying that I should contact Mwise and ask them about the global lock. As one poster stated earlier " mwise is not aware of any lock". Its such a shame because the L2 for this stock is set up perfect for it to explode if it had some buying power.

I agree ....... Let's hope that some investors that really knows what is happening right now see's something positive and pushes this stock up the charts while we wait on Scottrade to figure out what is going on.

I hear you inside guy . I will file a complaint . Hopefully all of this will work itself out and MWIS will actually thrive . My beef is not with them as they may have something positive to offer after the acquisition takes place , but that's neither here nor there . I'm upset with Scottrade !!!

Ok , even with everything that is happening with this stock right now NITE is eating up all of the shares . I have Scottrade so I'm frozen right now . Any opinions on why Nite ( Scottrades main guy ) is eating up all of these shares ??

Hi Nividia. I stumbled across it early this morning on quotes.morningstar.com... I refreshed the quote at least 10 times because I couldn't believe it. It showed a after market price of .05 with a 160 something percent gain . I even checked a few other stocks that I have been following and it showed a after market qoute for one of them as well . I just checked again but I guess that the after market quote only shows up for so long . So I have my fingers crossed that it was legit. Good luck my friend because if that quote was legit this might be a fun filled day !!!

Hello everyone ... This is my first post. I'm a newbie to the stock game and I have been holding MWIS stock for a week or so now . Yesterday was a really weird and possibly scary day on this board if you were following the messages on this board . I'm a man that doesn't follow the crowd and I'm praying that what I just found online is going to make me proud that I stood my ground and didn't sell . As I'm looking at a few stock quotes , I stumble across a site that is reporting a MWIS after market trade price of .05 . I kept refreshing the quote because I couldn't believe my eyes . Is this really possible ??? Please say YES !!! GLTA still holding ....
