Next Monday 3-17 I believe. Yes, the news about lawsuits has gotten almost comical. When listening to more seasoned investors they usually say that it's a total joke, or shakedown, as I like to say. I've thought about selling this many times (25K shares) but I thought the presentation was informative and positive, and Ahn says that he has no intention of selling the company. This is a long term play.
They'll have to do some dilution in the future, in my opinion. Just hopefully not for a while, or more lawsuits will pop up. Makes my head spin
didn't see your post, I basically said what you said. Still long. The lawsuits will go away eventually
Ok, one thing he says is that they are not building a company to sell. Good overview of their pipeline and the importance of Neuvax as a drug to not treat tumors themselves but the spread, or metastisis of the cancer. Good info presentation, projecting 8 to 12 mil a year on Abstral. No questions about the lawsuits
With all of the propaganda coming from the ministry of information, and the shyster lawyers, of course the short interest has increased. So what? If I was a more active trader, and not just an investor in GALE, I might short it for the next couple of days too. The market went up 200 plus points today so it's pretty obvious that this thing might correct a little for the rest of the week. Who knows. Next week will make things more clear, I hope
Since I'm trying to go long with GALE, I should just get off this board for a while, but anyone with any sense about trading or investing could see that the stock went up too fast. It was obvious that it was going to settle back down to a more realistic price. The fact that SA and AF started a frenzy of doubt in some people's minds only shows that they are taking advantage of the market's knee jerk reaction to news. I wouldn't have touched this thing up in the 7s. These speculative BIOTECHS are easy to manipulate and that will never change. We'll see where this shakedown, I mean lawsuit goes.
Well, considering they have weathered a coordinated Soviet style propaganda attack I remain pretty positive long term. For some this is an investment. Stalin's minions couldn't have done a better job of trying purge this company out of existence.
Thank you
P.S. This is a good board compared to Yahoo and the like, so sorry for sounding so cold hearted. I know this will all blow over.
7 law firms now trying to shakedown GALE. I'm long with 25k shares but I hate to say that GALE asked for this. Please, just put me in a sleep capsule for a few months and wake me up around mid summer. Oh, and to all of you share holders that feel cheated, that's just the nature of the market. None of these law firms are going to help you with crap. I've made the same mistake with other stocks and am still sitting on shares that I bought too high. Just deal with it
Nothing has changed with the basic fundamentals of this co. So they get a little sneaky and promote their stock; big deal. And some cashed out. It all seems more about the egos of the writers over at the Street, in my opinion
Well, hopefully this will all blow over in a couple months. It sounds like GALE management pulled some sneaky sh#t, but this now turning into a feeding frenzy. I'm just going to try and forget about this for a while.
I know all articles are biased to one extent or another, but with all of the bashing it was good to hear from the CEO. Here's another article that cheered me up a bit from BIOTECHPICKLIST
http://www.biotechpicklist.com/galena-biopharma-bucking-the-trend-against-short-sellers/
Thanks for the update. The Street and SA are in a GALE propaganda frenzy. I guess they're trying to get their 3.50 puts covered or something.
Adam Feuerstein tweeted this link to Bronte Capital bashing Abstral as nothing but an opiate being pushed like a drug dealer by GALE. This guy has a serious ax to grind.
He tweets,
"I welcome Bronte Capital to the bear camp. Great blog post on Abstral giveaways > "
Seriously though, this is a nature of the pharmaceutical business, lot's of pain killers and pain relievers. Does he think people just woke up this morning and realized that pain killers are addicting? If he is going to bash GALE then he should be bashing the whole industry. What a shill he is. He's is just working his own angle on this to short it, in my opinion. I guess that this is just the nature of the market, and that's why I don't trust any of them to any real extent

Gonna wait for earnings to come out on Abstral late February or early March. Definitely a good stock to trade short term. Still hoping to hold long on this one. I know it doesn't help to bash analyst opinions, but it's fun. GLTY
People, step away from the article. These shysters will write an article, and think that if they can overload you with data and speculation, and put it together in such a way, then they can lead you down any path that they want. I don't trust any of them. Putting that aside, who knows with these bio tech stocks; anything can happen. Thanks for the article
Look on the bright side, spring will be here soon and plenty new data. From reading the WSJ, some people think this will be a bigger correction than hoped for, but I'm staying long, right or wrong.
They filed a form D. Not an expert on these things. Issuing shares without needing to disclose an amount. I'll let the more experienced people on this board speculate on this one, if there is anything to speculate

You're right, NASDAQ says march 11, estimated date
http://www.nasdaq.com/earnings/report/gale
I meant my last purchase was early OCT
I'm rolling the dice and holding for a year, at least. My average cost is 2.02. Been in since early Oct. It's always a gamble. I guess we'll first have to see what the February earnings are for Abstral. GLTY
Don't get too discouraged. Major manipulation. Big money shysters are trying to shake people out, in my opinion
Long and strong baby!
I think money managers are waiting for this pullback and will add more come Jan. I know that's not some great insight. From a technical point of view I look at the 3 month chart: Stochastics are heading into over sold territory; MACD is below the signal line but is still way above 0, and in an overall bullish cycle. The waiting game starts.
Yes, forgot good management.
Christmas wish list for Oppenheimer Conference:
_______________________________________
1. Partnership but no buy out
2. Infusion of massive funds for research and development
3. Good Abstral sales, beating all estimates
4. Free vacation vouchers for all GALE shareholders
Another sell off going into a conference. 3 month MACD looks like it's going to cross below the signal line, maybe. It's good to get out of the over bought area, in my opinion.
I like the other scenario, where the big money shysters are just going for a hail mary, and trying to shake everyone out
Ok, lets just say, for argument sake, that the "D" word may be possible. So it goes into the mid 3s, or bounces hard off 3. Not too bad. Not saying it's going to happen, but who the heck knows
Yes, I think I got that idea from you, just forgot who said it
It's like clockwork; these stocks always pullback the day of conferences. Good healthy shake out, in my opinion. Plus the market is overdue for a little correction
This thing is a beast!!
I've been burned before. And it wasn't the product itself (company- ECTE), it was the way they managed their money burn rate, so they did a 10 to 1 reverse split. But they didn't have a real product like Abstral to keep the cash flow going. If the big money is in on this one, then I'm speculating that this is for real. GLTY
And this is all speculation still, to an extent. Some Money Managers are betting big on this one. At least we're out of the 2's for good, hopefully. Long on Gale
It's good to hear about possible big money interest in this:
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/new-top-stocks-to-buy-under-10-with-big-upside-2013-11-18
That sounds good to me, thanks.
Natural pullback. Will probably correct some more, in my opinion. If you are long, like me, you just have to let it shake out. If not, then trade it; or short it a little. I'm just going to pick up more shares if it makes any kind of major correction... YEEEHAAA. Who the heck knows really
I know this is a Motley Fool article, and some people can't stand them, but it's pretty positive stuff. GLTY
